Report: Iranian University Offering Scholarships To Expelled Anti-Israel Protestors

Shiraz University in Iran says it will offer scholarships to students from universities in the United States and Europe who have been expelled during the ongoing student protests connected to the Israel-Hamas war.
“Students and even professors who have been expelled or threatened with expulsion can continue their studies in Shiraz University and I think that other universities in Shiraz and Fars province are prepared to do the same too,” Shiraz University President Mohammad Moreno said.
Shiraz is a major city in Southern Iran and the capital of Fars province.

Moreno made the comments during a gathering of students and professors from several Shiraz universities in support of U.S. and European pro-Palestinian protesters.
The offer comes as violent anti-Israel protests continue on college campuses across the United States. On Thursday, President Biden finally addressed the ongoing situation saying the protests are not “protected” but stopped short of calling in the National Guard
More than 130 anti-Israel agitators were arrested after police raided the encampment on UCLA’s campus earlier the same day.
The California Highway Patrol said in a statement that multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a mutual aid request from the UCLA Police Department. Wearing face shields and protective vests, they stood with their batons protruding out to separate them from demonstrators, who wore helmets and gas masks and chanted, “You want peace. We want justice.”
“In response to a mutual aid request from UCLA, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) deployed to assist the UCLA Police Department,” Sergeant Alejandro Rubio told Fox News Digital. “The CHP was one of several law enforcement agencies who responded to the campus’ request for assistance. CHP assisted with arresting more than 130 protesters whom will be processed by the UCLA Police Department.”
