For Khamenei and other Muslims, the conflict between Israel and the “Palestinians” is not an issue of settlements, or borders, or negotiations. It’s about how Islam must dominate and not be dominated. It’s a religious issue, an Islamic issue. No negotiated agreement will ever bring peace. Notice how Khamenei frames the conflict here yet again as a religious issue, as something that concerns Muslims and Islam. But Western leaders refuse to acknowledge this.
