Bret Stephens is Bad for the Jews

17

The New York Times hired Bret Stephens, after he reprehensibly voiced support for Clinton’s vile assertion that Trump’s supporters were “deplorable, unworthy of attention, un-American and irredeemable.” Bret Stephens. Bret Stephens is a premier mouthpiece for the elitist NeverTrump usurpers. He said that Trump would be “the biggest loser in presidential history.” So it is hardly surprising that Stephens would go after Bannon, unmercifully, I might add. Trump is unequivocally pro-Israel. If Stephens had his way, anti-Israel, pro-sharia Clinton would have been elected, and he is telling us what is good and bad for the Jews? NeverTrump syndrome is irrational and illogocal, so Bret Stephens’ piece today, “Steve Bannon Is Bad for the Jews,” in today’s New York Times, is not surprising, but it is rotten.

Steve Bannon has been the target of a vicious libel of Jew-hatred by the antisemitic left since Trump’s meteoric rise. I addressed it early on in the political campaign of destruction against him here: Pamela Geller: As a Jew, I Stand with Steve Bannon

Steve Bannon refused lunch with bloody terrorist Yasser Arafat’s successor and financier, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas: “I didn’t want to breathe the same air as a terrorist.”

I am fortunate to say that I have known and worked with Steve Bannon ever since the tragic passing of Andrew Breitbart. While he was at Breitbart, he would ask me to write articles on pressing issues — usually several times each week. Longtime readers who are deeply familiar with my work know that I am a fiercely proud Jew and unapologetic Zionist. As long as I have known Steve, he has been an unabashed supporter of Israel, and of those of us who fight against Jew-hatred and racism. Unequivocally. Stephen’s comparing Steve Bannon with Nazis who initially endorsed the idea of expelling Jews to the Jewish Palestine is disgraceful.

Bret Stephens links the libelous hit job that Buzzfeed (!) did on Milo to make his spurious, specious argument against Bannon.  And the cheap shots Stephens takes against Holland’s pro-Israel MP Geert Wilders and Hungary’s Viktor Orban and Milo are ugly and untrue. I worked closely with Milo, who published my book — and I am a proud, fierce Zionist.

Today’s piece in the notoriously antisemitic New York Times is bad for the Jews.
