The Kahanoff Foundation, Drs. Rosalind and Stanley Labow & Canadians Who Harm Israel
As the faux human rights group, The New Israel Fund continues to engage in efforts to further delegitimize and marginalize the state of Israel with hackneyed and malicious lies. The group’s Canadian branch published a list of its donors who funded the organization in 2013.
Donors who contributed over $51,000 include The Kahanoff Foundation, Sharon Weintraub & ShaRna Foundation, and Efrim Boritz and Naomi Fromstein. And other donors who help harm Israel from Canada include Shayna and Merrill Shulman & Drs. Rosalind and Stanley Labow of Ottawa. In the report, the head of the New Israel Fund Canada lauded 2013 year was filled with “outward-facing accomplishments: the year with our largest fundraising total ever,” and was made possible from organizations like the Kahanoff Foundation. According to the Kahanoff Conference Center’s website, the group runs a conference center in downtown Calgary which provides office and conference space to nonprofits. Maybe the NIF works from there to spread hatred of Jews.
The New Israel Fund is notorious for financing groups that support the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, and have begun working with organizations like Breaking The Silence and B’Tselem to prosecute IDF soldiers who served courageously in Gaza last Summer for war crimes. In reality Israel did everything possible to minimize harm to the Palestinian civilian, but the Kahanoff Foundation and other Jewish-Canadian donors see fit to help the New Israel Fund prosecute the brave IDF soldiers protecting the lives of Jews around the globe, even theirs despite the animosity they show them.
The NIF has been directly associated with movements and groups who purposely go to Judea and Samaria to rile up IDF soldiers and get them to react for images and footage to use for their own propaganda. They openly advocate a boycott – and shamefully harm Israel.
It is time to hold traitors like the New Israel Fund and the donors who support them from Canada – and America accountable for their actions. Whether the Jim Joseph Foundation in the US, or Kahanoff Foundation in Canada, these foundations harm Israel and the Jewish people by supporting the NIF who boycotts Israel.
