King County Metro Transit at long last agreed to run our pro-Israel advertisement on
its public transportation buses after facing the threat of legal action. Our ads finally went up today in Seattle. And the smears and disinformation begins. Notice how the FOX reporter never mentions the anti-Jewish ads that prompted our response campaign. Neither did any of the other media coverage.
I think it reprehensible that FOX would interview a notorious Jew-hater for their report but never contacted us for substantiation or comment. They let the lies stand unchallenged. Tweet them at @Q13FOXSeattle or Comment here or write the station Q13 FOX, KCPQ-TV

The knee-jerk outrage to truth is comical.
The advertisement states,
“The Palestinian Authority Is Calling For A Jew-Free State. Equal
Rights for Jews.”
I had to provide numerous sources for my ad, but the Jew-haters did
not.The fact is that religious minorities do not have equal rights under
Islamic law. As for the Jew-haters' bogus contention that our ads are misleading — complete projection. Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East.

"King County Metro under fire for new bus ads" FOX Seattle
SEATTLE — If you haven’t yet seen them, you soon will – coming to the side of a King County Metro bus near you.
An ad that is part religious, part political, fully controversial.
“This current ad is a non-factual, false, misleading accusation
against the Palestinian Authority,” Seattle Mideast Awareness Campaign
spokesman Ed Mast said.ADVERTISEMENTThe ad was sponsored by and paid for by Pamela Geller and the
American Freedom Defense Initiative — a group that is responsible for
inflammatory ads on buses and transit centers in major cities all over
the country. The ad reads: ‘The Palestinian Authority is calling for a Jew-free state. Equal rights for Jews.”
“I’ve heard this lie before. It’s not true. They haven’t said it and
it’s not Palestinian Authority policy. It’s a common lie,” Mast said.Mast contends the ad violates Metro’s policy barring ads that touch
on the public debate of political, religious or social issues.“We look at whether an advertisement complies with our policy and
must remain neutral when it comes to content. We’re not in a position to
take sides in this debate. We apply our policies fairly and equitably,
consistent with the First Amendment rights of advertisers,” Metro
Transit spokesman Jeff Switzer said. But this is not Metro’s first brush with bus billboard controversy.
It banned an ad alleging Israeli war crimes that sparked protests and a lawsuit against the county.
Then there was this ad declaring December to be “buy American month,” urging people to shop locally.
The ad was initially rejected because it was seen as too political but the agency eventually let the ads run.
Metro said yes to an ad pushing gun safety from the group Washington
Ceasefire while Snohomish and Pierce County transit agencies both
rejected the ads. There was controversy also around an ad depicting what the sponsor called the faces of global terrorism.
For now, Metro has no immediate plans to change its policy and that’s OK with Mast.
He just wants the policy to be administered fairly.
“I would like King County Metro to apply its standards equally to
everybody and so far their pattern has been discriminatory and unequal,”
Mast said.Metro would not talk with any specificity about this ad or any other, citing pending legal action.
