Wannsee update from DW:

On an interesting note, the Mufti had traveled to Germany at a very coincidental time. He traveled to German on Nov 20th, 1941 for meetings and then was received by Hitler on Nov. 28th, 1941. The Wannsee Conference (Final Solution) was scheduled for Dec. 9th, 1941….but that meeting was delayed because of the Japanese attack on the U.S./Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7th, 1941. The meeting was rescheduled for January 20th, 1942.

The timing of his arrival at the end of November 1941 may have confirmed Nuremburg testimony that he was actually planning on attending the Dec. 9th original meeting. He may have held over and still attended the Jan. 20th, 1942 meeting….but in observation of the implementation of his plan (if it was his designed, which I believe it was). Further digging for his where abouts during this time are cloudy past about Dec. 19th, 1941….up until Jan. 28th, 1942.

What I believe is further missed is that the whole ‘Final Solution’ was already written prior to the original ‘intended’ meeting on Dec. 9, 1941. The actual Wannsee meeting was just to ‘roll the plan ALREADY in action to the players’ to engage. By the time the Wannsee meeting took place on Jan 20th, 1942 the plan was already in full swing, as had started the beginning of January, 1942. Without recreating a timeline, here is a close and pretty accurate occurrence of events that I believe demonstrates the initiation of the Final Solution, prior to the Jan 20th, meeting… (more here)

The great mufti of Jerusalem, Hajj Muhammad Amin al-Husseini arrived on the 6th
november in the capital of the third reich, Berlin.
The leaders of the nazi
state welcomed him on the highest levels, and provided him with comfortable
accommodation in a huge building block of Klopstock Strasse, where a Zionist
Jewish school used to operate until 1939.
After all the former Jewish
property was nationalized, Himmler established a "Jewish Institute" in the
building, which was renamed "The research institute on the Jewish question in
the muslim world" in honor of the arrival of Husseini.
And with good reason:
"The goals of my struggle are clear: First of all, I struggle ceaselessly
against the Jews, and part of this struggle is the fight against the Jewish
National Home in Palestine, because it is there that the Jews want to establish
a central government for their evil purposes, to proceed with their destructive
expansion at the expense of the governments and peoples of the world". This is
the lengthy sentence that the mufti said to Hitler, when they met in his office
two weeks after his arrival. He wrote down the exact date of this oh-so
important meeting with his supreme paragon, the fuhrer: "the 1360th year of
Hijra, Zul Qaada 6 on Friday afternoon, from half to 5 until
6."

Husseini came to meet Hitler with promising prospects – and left
him disappointed.
The Fuhrer, although readily expressing support for the
fight against the Jews, was cautious not to make promises to the Arabs.
Here
arises the question: how could Hitler, the confirmed the anti-Semite, negotiate
with a representative of a semitic people?
Both the Bible and the koran
teaches that the Arabs are Abraham's children, or Semites.
But while the Jews
are descended from Isaac, the arabs come from Ishmael.
The Nazi racial
theory, however, was sufficiently elastic to be broadened narrowed or by the
current political interests.
Thus, the National Socialist Party's official –
and Hitler's favorite – newspaper, the "National Observer" (Völkischer
Beobachter) denied that the Arabs are racially pure Semites, as "they have been
Aryanised by Circassian and Caucasian elements".
In the paper, the proof of
this was exactly the mufti of Jerusalem, whose red beard and blue eyes, "shows
the dominance his mother's Circassian origin."
But back to the negotiations:
Hitler gave strategic reasons to explain his caution in the Middle East, and
revealed some "secrets" to his interlocutor, that Hussein wrote down in his
memoirs.
First of all, Hitler promised – although it was not in the least a
secret – that "he will continue to fight until the total destruction of
judeo-bolshevism."
In this fight, perhaps in the not too distant future, the
German troops would reach the southern side of the Caucasus.
This is the
strategic condition for the Germans to be able to give effective support to the
"freedom-loving Arab peoples' struggle for independence.
"The road from
Rostov to Iran and Irak is shorter than the road from Berlin to Rostov – said
Hitler.
Only when the German troops reach this strategic goal would Germany
issue a statement.
Although the strategic goals of the Nazis did not include
the conquest of the Middle East, the Grand Mufti was useful for other
plans.
The guest and his entourage received the royal treatment: the Reich
Ministry of Foreign Affairs appointed for him 10 thousand dollars a month,
Himmler, the all-powerful leader of the SS gave him from the "Special Funds"
(which in practice meant the nationalized Jewish property) sums to continue with
his pro-Nazi and anti-Semitic propaganda campaign in the Arab countries.
In
1942, after the battle of El Alamein, which was the first effective Allied blow
to the German forces in North Africa, Hussein broadcast from Berlin to the Arab
world leaders to support Hitler's struggle against "world Zionism".
The
speech began thus: "Arise, children of Arabia! Fight for your holy rights!. Kill
the Jews wherever you find them!. Shedding their blood is pleasing to Allah, our
history and religion. Thus is our honor kept."

The war
criminal

But that's not all.
According to one of the Nuremberg
defendants, Wisliceny, who was the right hand of Adolf Eichmann, and was
involved in the "de-judaization" of Europe, "Hussein was a personal friend of my
boss" – even though Eichmann denied this in his 1961 trial in Jerusalem, and so
did Hussein in his memoirs.
Although the internationally renowned specialist
of the issue, Bernard Lewis in his 1986 book is also skeptical of the Eichmann
connection, the fact is that Eichmann was in Jerusalem at the time of the 1937
rebellion against the English, and was only granted authorization for a 48-hour
stay, he nevertheless managed to meet with the mufti, and later in Berlin, they
met often in the office of Eichmann on Kurfürststrasse 116.
Hussein allegedly
had Himmler's permission to visit Nazi death camps as well. (According to Simon
Wiesenthal, in Majdanek and Auschwitz.)
Although there is no evidence for
this statement in specific documents, it is impossible that Hussein would be
unaware of the the practical implementation details of the Endlösung
program.
This is borne out by this sentence, said during a visit to Hitler,
and written down in his memoirs: "The essential condition for cooperation with
Germany was to obtain a free hand to destroy to the last Jew in Palestine and
the Arab world. I asked Hitler to promise openly to allow us to solve the Jewish
problem in such a way as to meet our national and racial aspirations and by the
scientific methods developed in Germany for the treatment of Jews. His answer
was: The Jews are yours ".
Husseini was the one who in 1942 prevented the Red
Cross from rescuing 10 thousand Polish Jewish children from the Theresienstadt
death camp, in return for German citizens living in Palestine.
Husseini was
also the one who personally intervened in March 1944 with Himmler in order to
prevent the escape of Jews from the countries allied with the Axis.
In his
letter to the Hungarian foreign ministry, he suggested for the Jews "to be
placed under active control" in Poland, and did the same in Romania and
Bulgaria.
With this, he caused the death of at least 7500 Jewish people, whom
the government of these countries would have released to Palestine.
The Grand
Mufti of Jerusalem dreamed of a glorious parade at the end of the war ,and
prepared plans for an Auschwitz-type extermination camp which would have been
set up near Nablus for the Jews in Palestine.
The Grand Mufti in every way
tried to make herself useful for his hosts.
With Himmler's support he
established an Islamic Academy in Dresden.
The imams trained there were sent
out to the all corners of the Arab world to proclaim the new Islamic ideology
mixed with Nazi ideals.
Through the Arab Offices in Berlin Hussein organized
a German-Arab Legion, which fought in North Africa against the Americans.
(In
1946, 3000 of them were still held prisoners of war in a military base in
Alabama.)
It was of a much larger military importance to recruit the tens of
thousands of Muslims of the Soviet Union (the Crimea, the Caucasus and Central
Asia) into the occupying Nazi army.
Also associated with Husseini are the
Bosnian 13th "Scimitar" and the and the Albanian 2lst "Szkanderbég" SS
divisions.
Raised from 40 thousand local muslims, who, together with the
Horvatian "Ustasha" troops of Ante Pavelics exterminated with brutal cruelty 750
thousand Serbs, 60 thousand Jews and 26 thousand Roma in the Balkan Peninsula.

(Note in parentheses: on the 5th March 1943, Bosnian President Izetbegovics
Alija entered the "Young Muslims" organization of the scimitar division which he
soon became head of. He met with Husszei the same year, in Sarajevo. Due to his
Fascist past, after the war, the Yugoslav Supreme Military Council condemned him
to three years' imprisonment.) It's no wonder that in 1945, Yugoslavia tried to
have him tried among the main criminals of the Nuremberg Trials, but the Arab
Hitler succeeded again in escaping from hands of the victorious
powers.
