two homes, owned two businesses and traveled a lot up until the very end of
last month. Why the distraction of a sudden missing luggage
story that led to ….. bankruptcy? And why have the Barys hired a whole new legal team? Who is paying for it?
According to one family law attorney who reviewed the court documents, Rifqa suffered years of psychological and physical abuse. Many times punishment was meted out by her brother.
Alex Grey was removed from his mother's care because he was overweight and the South Carolina
authorities blamed the mother, because she was not preparing healthy
food. Further, the mom, Jerry Grey, has been charged with neglect (and put in
jail) for allowing her 14-year old son, Alexander, to reach a dangerous
weight (more here).
Why did the parents choose a radical mosque a half an hour
from their home when there were at least three that were closer? Why
would Mohamed Bary force Rifqa to attend the "Halaqah" Noor Center
youth gatherings, which lasted about five hours?
Rifqa said, "My father was very intent on making sure that his
children, and especially me, were raised deeply in the faith of
'Original Islam' which was taught at the Noor Center"
Patrick Poole has comprehensive coverage of the NOOR mosque and more on this rat pack shot:
hamming it up with Qaradawi (center) and Lebanese Muslim Brotherhood leader
Faisal al-Malawi (left). Sultan serves on the board for two of Qaradawi’s
organizations along with al-Malawi, the International Association of Muslim
Scholars and the European Council for Fatwa and Research. Qaradawi and Malawi
are both banned from the US for their open support of HAMAS and other terrorist
organizations, as well as for issuing fatwas allowing for suicide bombings
against civilians. In 2004, Qaradawi, Malawi and Sultan issued
a fatwa in the name of IAMS calling for jihad against American troops in
Iraq.
Sultan is also a member of the Fiqh Council of North America, which bills itself
as the top Islamic ruling body in the US.
Here’s another shot of them
laughing it up:
Rifqa
cannot be returned to this town in Ohio where the local scholars glad hand with the likes of a jihadist Islamic supremacist genocidal sheikh
like Qaradawi.

The NOOR mosque responded today with this:
Islamic Center Says it is Being Smeared by Hate Groups [who preaches hate?]
The Noor Center's
release says that "hate groups appear to be using this family matter as an
opportunity to attack the Muslim community and Islamic organizations in order to
further their religious and political goals."
Uh, we have no religious or political goals – but certainly shariah does. Islamic law does. Accusing truth tellers of what they are guilty of. It is their modus operandi.
Rifqa told her story to as many as twenty adults before she fled. No one would listen.
This girl
has been abused enough. When she was brought into custody in Florida,
this tiny bit of a thing was shackled at the ankle and waist and
incarcerated with the juvenile criminals. Shame on them.
Rifqa Bary is an honor student, a cheerleader – a good girl. Like Amina and Sarah Said, she lived two lives: she was a happy productive successful student in school and a tortured, oppressed and brutalized victim at home. Many in her school were shocked to hear that
Rifqa, the quintessential good girl, had run away from home; those
close to her were not surprised at all.
Many people ask, if her father was devout, how come she was a cheerleader? Muslim girls who live in the West lead two lives. Just
as Amina and Sarah Said were honor students, star athletes, soccer
players, tennis players, etc., so was Rifqa.
Amina and Sarah did it all. But their lives at home are a polar opposite of the outside life. There is a constant struggle. The murder always happens when the parent/family sees they have lost
control of the child. In the case of Amina and Sarah, the girls ran
away. The mother lured them back, and they were both dead less than 24
hours later. Aqsa Parvez had left the house and was staying with
friends when she too was lured back, only to be murdered. Aasiya
Zubair Hassan had filed for divorce from her moderate Muslim husband Mo, a pillar in the community, when he chopped her head off back in February in Buffalo, New York.
The
girls live in a constant state of war, negotiating the terms of
surrender. The tug of war, the back and forth, goes on for years. The
negotiation precedes it for years. It is only when the parent loses
control of the child — either they run away, file for divorce, leave
the faith, etc., act independently in some way — that they are murdered
in the final act of control. They "win" and cleanse the family of the
dishonor of their daughter's un-islamic behavior.
abuse and no record of radical actions or beliefs. Whatever his disagreements
with Rifqa — and what parent of a teen hasn't had his or her share? — he
obviously had invested a lot in her care and upbringing.
Most
of the girls who are honor murdered in the West suffer abuse unknown to
law enforcement authorities. But the friends know. Teachers know. Amina
and Sarah told teachers, friends, etc. So did Rifqa ….for years.
I broke many stories in the Rifqa Bary case on the physical abuse of Rifqa and the parents' financial situation. No media picked them up. The media only ran the CAIR narrative (they are working with the family according to anti-Rifqa, pro Islam websites).
Not only is the media criminally negligent in not telling Rifqa's story, but they use this terrible case to seize the opportunity to smear and rank on Christianity. Christianity is the evil in all this, according to the media. The vilification of the good Christian folks who took this girl in turns my stomach. It is evil.
On several occasions
friends of Rifqa would bring her down to the school counselor because
of bruises on her legs and her arms, beatings suffered at the hands of
her father and brother (sounds like Islam Said).
The middle school, in a serious dereliction of duty, did not report
these beatings to child welfare services. Beatings were random,
violent, unprovoked. Take, for example, when Rifqa and her father
Mohammad were driving in the car. He would force her to wear the
hijab, which she hated. In her discomfort she would slouch down,
embarrassed, and her father would haul off and sock her in the face so
that she never forgot to sit up straight in her costume. The beatings
were regular and so much a part of the landscape of Rifqa's life that she
became inured to them, just like Amina and Sarah and Aqsa and every
"honor" victim. (more here)
Rifqa: "He took that laptop and waved it in the
air and he was about to beat me with it, and he said, “If you have this Jesus in
your heart, you’re dead to me. You’re not my daughter.” And I refused to speak
but he said, “I will kill you. Tell me the truth.” In these words, bad words,
cuss words. So I knew that I had to get away"
That said, Rifqa Bary faces death. We have seen these 'honor' murders spiking in the West, partly because the West refuses to acknowledge the motivation behind these heinous crimes. Despite societal denial, these crimes are taking place. Why wouldn't the welfare of this child be the only consideration before the court?
There is a very simple argument that must be made: (props to Robert)
Her father says: "Whether she is Christian or whatever religion she adopts, that's O.K. Basically, we
want our daughter back."
So it's her word against his. Will Mohamed Bary murder his daughter, or bring about her death? Of course there is no way of knowing. But we do know some things:
1. Mohamed Bary and his wife, pictured above right, appear to be devout, observant Muslims — Mrs. Bary, after all, has her head covered, indicating that they respect at least some, if not all, Islamic laws.
2. Apostasy is a capital crime according to all the Islamic schools of jurisprudence,
so that it is not unreasonable to believe that devout Muslims would
object to the conversion to Christianity of their daughter, and desire
her death.3. Other Muslim fathers, as I point out here,
have appeared to be credible, gentle fellows as they lured their
wayward daughters back home — after they had run away in fear for
their lives. And then once they were back home, they murdered them.
In light of those facts, the court would be foolish in the
extreme, when it convenes again on August 21, to expose Rifqa Bary to
risk. There is no doubt that this would not be done in other child
welfare cases — any reasonable suspicion that the child could be in
physical danger is acted upon immediately, and the child removed from
the home. For what conceivable reason should this case be different?
Further, what is being done to secure Rifqa's safety? She is, hands down, the highest value target in America. She needs 24-hour protection. I hope a petition to the court is being made for such protection.
