1 year agoReply to armr145Mental illness should not be an excuse for or be a free pass to commit crimes. Lock them up and do not release them until they can be cured. Sociopathy is also a mental illness and many are imprisoned for a term and also set free and many repeat their crimes and more innocent people suffer. Why do we keep making the same mistakes over and over again in the false name of justice? It is the victims and innocent people who need society’s protection not the perps. I also do not understand why someone with a mental illness who kills cannot be executed? Knowing right from wrong is not an excuse to kill and a rabid dog is put down.
