House passes bill to protect free speech from government interference, 206 Democrats oppose
206 Democrats vote against bill banning federal officials from policing online speech

House Democrats on Thursday unanimously voted against legislation that would prohibit federal officials from taking any action to squelch the sharing of views and opinions online, a bill Republicans called up after Twitter’s internal files showed the FBI was constantly pressuring that company to suppress certain stories — including stories related to Hunter Biden.The GOP called up the Protecting Speech from Government Interference Act, and the Republican majority allowed it to pass in a narrow 219-206 vote. But each of the 206 Democrats who voted on Thursday voted against it.
House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., introduced the bill after Twitter released messages that showed dozens of FBI officials spent months pressuring Twitter to take down posts containing what they said was “disinformation.”
In a Feb. 8 hearing, Comer said the FBI spent considerable time pushing Twitter to discard stories about the laptop belonging to Hunter Biden, son of President Biden.
“The hearing exposed just how much the Biden administration attempted to normalize a policy of federal censorship,” Comer said in floor debate Wednesday. “Biden administration officials have publicly called upon and privately coordinated with private-sector social media companies to ban specific accounts viewed as politically inconvenient.”
“The federal government should not be able to decide what lawful speech is allowed. We have the First Amendment for a very good reason,” he added. “Federal officials, no matter their rank or resources, must be prohibited from coercing the private sector to suppress certain information or limit the ability of citizens to freely express their own views on a private-sector internet platform.”
Democrats rejected the bill on the grounds that the government has an important role to play making sure “disinformation” is silenced in the U.S. Rep. Daniel Goldman, D-N.Y., said the bill would make it easier for China and Russia to use social media platforms to “wreak havoc on our democratic institutions.”

The House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) had it right all along. The equation seems to be: if you don’t oppress the left, then you’ll eventually be oppressed by the left.

Interesting thoughts. THe FBI agent Cleon Skousen included this among what he called Goals of the Communists.
#33. Eliminate all laws or procedures, which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
#34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
Trevor Loudon revealed that Marxigan’s member of Congress just a few years ago, John Conyers pushed to get rid of HUAC. Conyers had had a 50 year relationship with the CPUSA. Oh, Marxigan is the state you know as Michigan. Proposal 3 on the november, 2022 ballot made Michigan Marxigan.

What’s truly unbelievable is how quickly this “Weekend at Bernie’s” guy has so fundamentally destroyed our country. And he’s just getting started.
Maybe he really is senile although I think that’s just an act. But whoever is calling the shots is both a master strategist and tactician.

Multiple appeals were worthless. Don’t know which post/posts specifically violated so-called “twitter rules” which could have been deleted from my account but my last ones that are still there were posted near the end of 2021, were about treatment for Covid, multiple retweets of others about ivermectin or problems with the Covid vax (those people I retweeted are still on Twitter). I’m “read only” on Twitter. So much for “Free Speech” Elon Musk–that’s a joke. He restored some notable Conservatives with mega followers like Pamela Geller is on Twitter. Oops…can’t even follow her…I’m read only.

It did not just happen, too. The CPUSA would not run a Presidential candidate in the 1930s because the Democrats advocated their policies. By the way, the probable author of the Communist Manifesto isn’t Karl Marx, but a cousin of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Clinton Roosevelt who published his book 1841 the same year a communist commune opened in Oneida, NY.
