Oxford Union President Faces No-Confidence Motion Over Hosting Israeli Ambassador

The president of Oxford University’s debating society is facing a no-confidence motion over his decision to host a Q&A panel event on Thursday with Israel’s Ambassador to the UK Tzipi Hotovely.

Entitled “The Abraham Accords: prospects for regional peace and prosperity”, the members-only event at the Oxford Union also featured the Ambassadors to the UK of Bahrain and the UAE, and was met by pro-Palestinian student and outside groups.

The motion raises among its “concerns” that Charlie Mackintosh, the Union’s President, “conspired with foreign agents to promote the interests of an apartheid state” in inviting Hotovely to the event and accuses Hotovely of “genocide denial and racist statements.”

Motions of no confidence under the rules of the Oxford Union are posted physically and must accrue 150 signatures within 48 hours before proceeding to a no confidence poll. The Returning Officer of the Oxford Union did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Algemeiner.

Videos of the event from inside the debate hall show protesters shouting slogans, including “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free,” which the American Jewish Committee characterizes as antisemitic when used to call for the destruction of Israel or to question the right of Jews to self-determination.

Protests outside the event were organized by the Oxford Palestine Society, Arab Society, and Syria Society, and were joined by non-students from the Socialist Worker newspaper.

Hotovely has faced hostile student receptions in the past. In December 2021 she faced harassment by protesters while departing an event at the London School of Economics over security concerns.

“I will not be intimidated,” Hotovely said at the time. “I will continue to share the Israeli story and hold open dialogue with all parts of British society.””

OR, maybe those who hate JEWS are JEALOUS that JEWS are the APPLE OF G-D’S EYE and the haters are NOT. Having read the entire Bible several times, I understand what it means to be SPIRITUALLY BANKRUPT and DEAD, which includes:
—Muslims
—Democrats
—Rinos
—Progressives
—Liberals

The BIBLE is very clear about what will happen to those who STAND AGAINST ISRAEL AND THE JEWISH NATION and it WILL NOT BE HEAVEN that they will go after death. SO, if they don’t care, then THAT IS ON THEM. THEY HAVE BEEN WARNED.

British Jews protested about Hotovely’s appalling record of racist and inflammatory behaviour and called on the UK government to reject her nomination as ambassador. Despite widespread protests about this disgusting woman the UK government still accepted her.

There is never a pro Jewish group always the muzzle hate squad who do not represent the majority of British people who are sickened by the way muslims who are supposedly a minority get treated like royalty , there’s not a news reporter, advert in fact anything that is not muslim over represented like we are the minority and our voices are not heard nor in mainly muzzle towns and cities do we get the benefit they keep for their own people it’s a total takeover disgrace. No other group could get away with this nonsense and it’s time power was taken away from them as they are bigots who think they own everything and corrupt even their MPs are not for anything except grabbing the job for money off another muslim hence it’s not democratic and I don’t vote!

In much the same way LGBTQ’s in general, and “transgender” freaks in particular, are likewise “treated like royalty” here despite their being a minute, infinitesimal minority claiming “discrimination” and “marginalization.” Indeed, LGBTQ’s basically control America (and every nook and cranny of every institution) in the same way “muzzies” now control Britain. So you’re not entirely right about “No other group could get away with this nonsense.” LGBTQ’s and “trans” do all the time in the U.S. Go ask Jack Phillips.

Demographic shifts are also in part at the heart of this rise in antisemitism. Expect it to get even worse as the white population continues to fall towards certified minority status and “other” populations rise. Notice it’s largely the “brown” people largely driving this antisemitism. And it will especially have disastrous implications in terms of this country’s relationship with Israel.

I was in South Africa and Israel in the 1970s and only one of those countries practiced Apartheid.
If the Israelis are committing genocide then they are doing a really bad job of it as there are more ARAB muslims inside Israel today than there were in 1948.
Those muslim morons that want to destroy or denigrate Israel and Jews should stop using Facebook and Whatsapp to spread their vile messages as that is own by an American Jewish guy.
I guess logic doesn’t fit in with islamic teachings though… Who knew?.
