World Economic Forum: UN chief urges ignoring voters

The top leader of the United Nations urged politicians to make unpopular decisions that may benefit their people in the long run after making a “special address” at the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres criticized politicians around the world for caring more about “polls, future elections, [and] political power struggles” than “effectively solving problems.” He called for them to ignore polls reflecting their people’s will and instead do what they think is best for the long-term future.

He made the remark about 20 minutes and 15 seconds into the presentation, which is viewable on the WEF website. It was preceded by a 15 minute “special address” where he said the battle against climate change “is being lost” and the people of the world must “end our self-defeating war on nature.”
He was responding to a question from WEF President Børge Brende, who asked why leaders don’t follow the “common sense” that dictates they must work now to stem off a future “climate disaster.”
Guterres, a former prime minister of Portugal, went on to speak from his own experience.
Recommended for you“When I was following the polls, I would have problems in the short term,” he said. “When I was able to show leadership and … take the decisions that were necessary to ensure the future of my country at the time, that in the end would pay.
“My appeal to decision makers in the public and private sector is: Don’t look about what’s going to happen to you tomorrow. Look into what’s going to happen to all of us in the future.”
More than 2,700 world leaders, including 11 members of Congress, are spending this week at the Davos meeting, where they’re discussing ways to manage the global system. This year’s event involves speeches and panel discussions on issues like recession fears, the Ukraine war and climate change.

Are you one of the many who thinks the Rapture is right around the corner, and all Christians will be whooshed off into heaven, before the 7 year Tribulation begins, because God wouldn’t have His Children to go through what horrors that Revelation speaks of? A Pre-Tribber is what those people are called.
Then there’s the Mid Tribbers, and the Post Tribbers. These three ideas of thought of the timing of the Rapture, has been debated, discussed, and argued about for about how long? Centuries, I believe. No one really knows. For me, it’s the question that all of these people should think about first. We all know, and it’s VERY clear, that the bible states, that in the middle of the 7 years (or the 3 1/2 year point), Satan has done all his tricks and miracles, and has brought peace thoughout the whole world, and now has everyone fascinated with him….enough that, he’ll walk into a new temple, and proclaim himself “god”, and everyone, believes him….and God says “that even his very elect, will believe him”.
And of course, then comes the “mark”. Just like this, so called “vaccine”, it’ll be mandatory, and here’s the main point of all this…they’ll be MANY, VERY DEDICATED Christians, who refuse his mark. Rev 20:4 tells what happens to all those, that refuse his mark.
But WAIT! There are NOT any Christians…according to all Pre Tribbers (again, these are people who are determined that they will NOT be here, because their all gone to heaven, and that the rapture happens at the start of the 7 year Tribulation, and will NOT be here for any of the horrors that our bible tells us of, of the 7 Tribulation, and definitely will NOT be here in the halfway point when Satan’s mark begins).

In principal he is probably right. The voters are mostly either voting with their wallets or just dumbly doing what MSM tell them. That is how Trump lost an election to a man who hardly bothered to campaign, as he knew what the results would be. However as many of the politicians are mainly interested in their wallets also, it is unlikely things will change until they are forced to. Look at FDR
who could hardly get the US public behind the WW2 supoort until the Japanese gave them a kick in the pants

They knew about about the bombing of Pearl Harbor before it happened and LET IT HAPPEN! That’s was for the “People” to get riled up about WWII. Much like 9/11 Twin Towers going down, just not an inside job. They knew and WANTED WAR.

That UN Chief. When did GOD die and leave that POS in charge? His decision is so right for the country over and above millions of other people. He better be able to walk on water. If NOT then his head should go in the ditch. Fourteen percent voted to have the WEF in charge? There is a lot of corrupt people or a lot of people with virtually NO self esteem.

Typical of them, they don’t care their decisions to invite all and sundry to live free with nothing to pay at our expense and suffering from illegal immigrants, criminals who have made us less safe and that police cdnt arrest them or deport them for even the heinous of crimes .
