Latina Republican blocked from joining Congressional Hispanic Caucus

19

Once again, the Democrats show who the real racists are.

Julio Rosas: Townhall has exclusively learned Rep. Mayra Flores (R-TX) was prevented from joining the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC), the leading caucus for Latino members of Congress, because she is a Republican and membership is only reserved for Democrats. Flores requested to join CHC in early October and was rejected shortly thereafter. Flores is not only first Mexican-born woman to serve in Congress, but she also represents a district along the U.S.-Mexico border that is overwhelmingly Latino (Townhall). Washington Examiner: She is the first Mexican-born woman to be elected to Congress and the first Republican to win Texas’s 34th Congressional District in more than a century (Washington Examiner).

Fox News chief Washington correspondent Mike Emanuel has the latest on increased dissatisfaction among Hispanic voters over President Biden’s handling of the country and Hispanic GOP candidates trying to shake up races, on ‘America’s Newsroom.’

Democrats who run the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) have blocked a freshman Latina Republican lawmaker from joining the group.

Mayra Flores, who flipped a long-held Democratic House seat along the U.S.-Mexico border earlier this year, said she was refused admission by the CHC because of her party affiliation.

“As the first Mexican-born American Congresswoman, I thought the Hispanic Caucus would be open to working together,” said Flores. “This denial once again proves a bias towards conservative Latinas that don’t fit their narrative or ideology.”

The CHC is the largest working group within Congress for lawmakers of Hispanic and Latino descent. Its membership is made up of roughly 40 lawmakers from both the House and Senate

Just shows that ethnic based caucus’s are racist. Imagine an “Anglo caucus”. Always a double standard we chumps are supposed to accept.

The potent response is to create and empower the divisions that such a rejection creates. One potent key would be to ask the question “Are you latin enough?” Set them to divisions within their group, pointing out how they want to represent the ‘right’ latinos.

WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO JOIN SOMETHING LIKE THAT, A RACE-BASED GROUP??????? Maybe I should start a WHITE CAUCUS GROUP. Wanna bet I would be arrested?

This woman needs to be in the CONSTITUTIONAL CAUCUS which means SHE IS THERE TO SERVE HER FREEDOM-LOVING CONSTITUENTS. Comprehende?
