Unhinged. New Yorker’s are afraid to walk the streets and take the subway, but Governor Hochul doesn’t understand why it’s “so important” to lock up criminals. As expected, Zeldin eviscerated Hochul in last night’s debate. But will that be enough for the majority of New Yorker’s to vote Hochul out of office? We will have to wait and see.

He called me today and told me that violent street crime in NYC is so bad that for the first time in his life he looks over his shoulder.

‘Don’t know why that’s so important’: Hochul baffled when Zeldin talks jailing criminals during NY gov debate

Gov. Kathy Hochul stunningly said she didn’t know why it’s “so important” to lock up criminals when confronted by Republican challenger Lee Zeldin over the state’s controversial bail reform law during their first and only debate Tuesday night.
Zeldin, who’s pledged to declare a crime emergency and suspend cashless bail if elected, brought up the issue midway through the televised face-off.
“My opponent thinks that right now there’s a polio emergency going on but there’s not a crime emergency — different priorities than I’m hearing from people right now,” the outgoing congressman from Long Island said.

You are right. I’m an ex New Yorker (in Ks. now). NYC was never the midwest; but you could ride the subway, walk in the City, enjoy all this greatest City in the world had to offer.
I wouldn’t even go there now for a visit. I’d be afraid to. I interned in the NY (Long Island) Prosecutor’s Office when I was in Law School in the 90’s and we were locking up criminals then. Now? Due to complacency and voter fraud De Blasio got re-elected; and then they rejected Curtis Sliwa (founder of the Guardian Angels) for Idiot Grinning Fool Eric Adams Family.
Dumb? Oh yeah.
