Texas: ‘Honor killings’ trial starts for Muslim father who gunned down his daughters for dating non-Muslims

Fourteen years after these horrific murders and still no one can bring himself to report about them honestly.

WFAA reported Sunday that “police believed he became jealous and obsessed because the girls both dated American boys.” The New York Post says in this story that “friends and family said Said was unhappy that his teenage daughters were dating.”

No. Neither one is true. Yaser Said wasn’t angry at the fact of his daughters dating, or at the fact that they were dating American boys. WFAA had it right back in June 2021, when it said that “police believe Yaser Said was angry his daughters were dating boys who were non-Muslim and killed them.” That actually makes sense in connection with these killings, because Islamic law prohibits Muslim women from marrying non-Muslim men. And there is abundant testimony to this effect, going all the way back to the initial reports on the murders: in January 2008, the Dallas Morning News reported that the girls’ mother Patricia had said (regarding Amina) that “since they are Muslim that the daughter was only allowed to date other Muslims. Yaser had found out she went on a date with a non-Muslim and became very angry and threatened her with bodily harm.”

No one will come out and say this now, however. Those who wield the “Islamophobia” club are too powerful. They can end careers. So the fearless truth-tellers of the enemedia prefer to lie to get along.

For YEARS we called for the arrest of Sarah and Amina’s violent, unhinged brother, who was an alleged accomplice to their honor killings.

Eleven years later, the terrorized sisters got some measure of justice. Maybe they will get more when their monster of a father is convicted.

“‘Honor killings’ trial starts for Texas father accused of gunning down daughters,” by MaryAnn Martinez, New York Post, August 1, 2022:

A Texas father who once landed on the FBI’s Most Wanted list is headed to trial in the alleged “honor killings” of his two daughters more than a decade ago.
Yaser Said is accused of shooting dead his daughters, Sarah, 17, and Amina, 18, in 2008 because he was upset they were dating, family and friends have said.
Jury selection in the case began Monday in Dallas and jurors are expected to hear harrowing testimony, including from Sarah’s 911 call just before she died.
“My father shot me. I’m dying … I’m dying,” she told the dispatcher after being shot nine times, reported WFAA.
Friends and family said Said was unhappy that his teenage daughters were dating. Family members believe the girls were victims of “honor killings” because their father thought they had brought shame to the family, reported the Fort Worth Star Telegram.
“He followed them everywhere he went and recorded their every move,” family friend Ruth Trotter told WFAA.
Investigators allege Said took his daughters for a ride in a cab he had borrowed on New Year’s Day under the guise that they were going to get dinner. Instead, he drove them to a hotel near Irving, Texas and allegedly shot both of them inside his taxi.
Police eventually found the sisters’ bodies inside the cab near the Omni Hotel in Irving. Amina was shot twice. Said has denied killing his daughters….
Prosecutors are not seeking the death penalty for Said, however, he will automatically serve life in prison without parole of he’s convicted.
