Terror-Linked CAIR Fires Mole

The Council on American Islamic Relations has fired Romin Iqbal.

CAIR’s old friends at WCMH are reporting the story with flashing red lights. The Muslim community is having “trouble grasping the depth of the deception”. Iqbal was leaking information about CAIR to a “known hate group”. The so-called hate group is Steve Emerson’s “Investigative Project on Terrorism.”

CAIR is also accusing Iqbal of using a CAIR credit card to send parts of an AR 15 to the CAIR office. We will just have to wait for the details about that but, some of the other things reported are not true.

For instance, the Muslim community is not having “trouble” with this. CAIR and their friends are the ones upset.

Here is some perspective on the size of CAIR.

  • A 2011 Gallup poll found only 12% of American Muslims think CAIR represents them.  In June 2007, the Washington Times reported that CAIR membership had plummeted 90 percent since 2001. “This is the untold story in the myth that CAIR represents the American Muslim population,” Zuhdi Jasser, president of the American-Islamic Forum for Democracy, told the Times. “They only represent their membership and donors.”
  • While CAIR originally disputed the Times report, its attorneys later invoked it to claim that its status as an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas-support case was hurting the group’s image.
(A video treatment of CAIR admitting a 90% drop in membership.) –
  • CAIR is not “the Muslims”. They are an amateurish, self-promoting organization that harasses Muslim women at work. This is not going to ingratiate them with anybody.
  • Recently, CAIR held a march sponsored by over 130 different organizations. Only about 1,000 people showed up. – https://www.meforum.org/62474/an-islamist-flop
  • There are several cases, and numerous broadcasts where CAIR has offered a reward for information leading to the arrest of someone who hurt a Muslim. No one ever steps up to claim it. –
  • Here is one of CAIR’s recent bullying reports that is essentially only a survey of 700 of CAIR’s friends. –

And, speaking of bullying . . .

Romin Iqbal is CAIR’s 24th victim of the year. At a rate of twice a month, CAIR gets on TV to threaten someone’s livelihood, have someone fired, defame their character, interfere in someone’s career, and expose individuals to dangerous threats.

Iqbal’s case is remarkable because CAIR will even do this to their own. While CAIR might have handled this discreetly, they chose the expose him publicly.  Previous victims of CAIR’s TV attacks have received gruesome threats. It will be interesting to know how Romin Iqbal gets on in life now that CAIR has targeted him.

The fact that CAIR has this pattern of attacking people on TV with such frequency should be combined with the fact that they are simultaneously ignoring stories about Muslims: trying to join ISIS, honor killing, blowing up Marines, applauding Louis Farrakhan, kidnapping American citizens, etc. And, that is an incomplete list, and only from this year.

CAIR doesn’t care about violent Muslims.

They don’t even care about other Muslims. They care about CAIR. All of their TV broadcasts are about themselves, and how they feel about something, or their reaction to this that and the other thing. Now,  they have to tell us that CAIR hates Romin Iqbal. This isn’t really news. People come and go all the time at CAIR. It is the inclusion of a strawman, an “anti-Muslim group”, Steve Emerson’s IPT that gives this story its narrative. “Romin Iqbal has betrayed his people”.

IPT is not a hate group. They tell the unflattering truth about CAIR, but there is no “hate” going on. However, don’t expect to see Emerson given a chance to respond on TV. Because CAIR would not approve. And, TV stations for some unknown reason just do not want to upset CAIR.

Ohio Muslim group director fired after allegedly leaking information to anti-Muslim hate group

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A Muslim advocacy group has fired its executive director for allegedly leaking information regarding the organization’s work to a known anti-Muslim hate group.

According to a press release, the Ohio Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Ohio) has fired Executive and Legal Director Romin Iqbal after an independent forensic expert’s investigation found “ethical and professional violations committed over a period of years.”

The investigation allegedly found that Iqbal recorded CAIR network meetings and passed on information about CAIR’s national advocacy work to the anti-Muslim group. The press release did not name the anti-Muslim group.

The press release states that after being confronted with the evidence of misconduct, Iqbal admitted that he had been secretly working with the hate group.

Law enforcement is currently investigating the matter after CAIR-Ohio reported it to them.

“We were shocked and saddened to learn about this betrayal and incredible violation of trust,” said Nabeel Raazi, Columbus-Cincinnati Board Chair for CAIR-Ohio. “Our first priority is the safety and security of our community. We are now even more committed to defending and protecting Ohio Muslims from the anti-Muslim extremists who will clearly stop at nothing to try to harm us.”

The investigation showed that Iqbal, who has been with the organization since 2006, was not aided by any other CAIR members.

In a letter to the Ohio Muslim community, CAIR-Ohio encouraged mosques and community centers to “exercise vigilance and review their security protocols out of an abundance of caution.”

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is the largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization in the country.

“We recognize the difficulty of receiving this information and the unease it brings,” CAIR posted to its website. “We all feel betrayed by a once-trusted leader and advocate whom we relied upon. However, our mission to protect the civil rights of Ohio Muslims transcends any one individual. We want to assure the community that CAIR-Ohio’s local assets, operations, and infrastructure are safe and secure.”

CAIR announced plans to discuss the investigation Wednesday.
