‘Biden’ Calls Republicans ‘bullies, merchants of fear, peddlers of lies’ before dropping ‘CIVIL WAR’ bomb

Pure projection. It’s what they do.

This demented corpse may get what his party of treason is inciting to. I’d just as soon agree to disagree and split the country in two – the rational producers and the irrational moochers and looters.

‘Uniter’ Biden calls Republicans ‘bullies, merchants of fear, peddlers of lies’ before dropping ‘civil war’ bomb

President Joe Biden delivered a dangerously hyperbolic and stunningly dishonest speech Tuesday, portraying Republicans as a greater threat to the United States than the Confederate soldiers of the Civil War.

The speech was about voter reform bills being pursued by various Republican-led legislatures across the country. The bills are designed to enhance election security and integrity through common-sense rules like voter identification requirements.

While both Democrats and their media allies have dishonestly portrayed the common-sense bills as attacks on voting rights, the president took the rhetoric a step further Tuesday by linking the bills to Jim Crow, the Ku Klux Klan, and the Civil War.

“The denial of full and free and fair elections is the most un-American thing that any of us can imagine, the most undemocratic, the most unpatriotic, and yet, sadly, not unprecedented,” he claimed.

“From denying enslaved people full citizenship until the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments after the Civil War, to denying women the right to vote until the 19th Amendment 100 years ago, to poll taxes and literacy tests, and the Ku Klux Klan campaigns of violence and terror that lasted into the ‘50s and ‘60s,” he added.
The president went on to smear Republicans as “bullies and merchants of fear” and “peddlers of lies” who are worse than the “Confederates.”

“For make no mistake, bullies and merchants of fear, peddlers of lies are threatening the very foundation of our country. It gives me no pleasure to say this. I never thought in my entire career I’d ever have to say it. But I swore an oath to you, to God to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution. That’s an oath that forms a sacred trust to defend America against all threats, both foreign and domestic,” he said.

“The assault on free and fair elections is just such a threat, literally. I’ve said it before. We’re facing the most significant test of our democracy since the Civil War. That’s not hyperbole, since the Civil War. The Confederates back then never breached the Capitol as insurrectionists did on January the sixth,” he added.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who’s been very vocal in warning about the Democrat Party’s increasingly authoritarian ways, was disturbed by what he heard.

“The Civil War? Sound overheated to you? Joe Biden would like you to know [that] this is not hyperbole. Voter ID laws are literally like the Civil War. Habeas corpus suspended. State legislatures shut down. Hundreds of thousands of Americans lying dead in fields. That was the Civil War,” he said later that evening on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

“Biden made it clear that’s what he meant. He said it twice. When was the last time an American president gave a speech like this? Probably not since the 1860s, during the actual Civil War. It’s hard to know how to process this. Even allowing for the dementia, it was a stunningly irresponsible thing for an American leader to say out loud. Dangerous even,” he added.

Not that the media noticed. They’ve been too busy repeating the president’s lies about the Republicans’ voter reform bills near-verbatim.

“Requiring people to prove their identity when they cast a vote, said the President, is an ‘unrelenting 21st century Jim Crow assault.’ How’s that exactly? Biden never explained. He didn’t need to. His bootlickers on cable news jumped in to do the talking,” Carlson noted.

All this came a day after Texas Democrats fled the state to prevent the Republican-led legislature from passing one of these election reform bills.

“They did this in order to deny the Texas legislature a quorum, and then they shut it down. They shut down the democratic process in their state. By leaving the state, they violated their sworn duty to represent voters and committed what amounted to an act of, yes, insurrection,” according to Carlson.

“Why? So that Texas lawmakers couldn’t pass laws against voter fraud — laws that the voters of Texas have said overwhelmingly they want passed. That’s democracy. But they’re not getting it,” he added.

The great irony is that Democrats, including Biden, are guilty of every single thing they’re accusing Republicans of being, including trying to rig America’s elections.
