“President Joe Biden on Friday revoked a series of controversial executive orders issued by the Trump administration, striking down his predecessor’s decisions in areas ranging from monument protection to immigration restrictions.
“Biden revoked a measure issued by former President Donald Trump following the Black Lives Matter protests that instructed federal law enforcement authorities to prosecute individuals who vandalized federal monuments and to withhold funding from local governments that didn’t prevent the destruction of their statues. He also put a stop to another one of Trump’s monument initiatives, ending a plan to create a National Garden of American Heroes that the former president had said would serve as a statuary hall of fame.” (NBC)

Biden Revokes Trump’s Planned ‘National Garden Of American Heroes’
FORBES, May 14, 2021:
Trump’s announcement of a “National Garden of American Heroes,” which he authorized as one of his final acts in office, came with a list of 244 names proposed to be included, ranging from Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and abolitionist Harriet Tubman to the pioneer nurseryman Johnny Appleseed.
Among the other Trump executive orders Biden did away with Friday was one creating stricter penalties for defacing federal monuments and another targeting legal protections for social media companies after they started fact-checking Trump’s statements.
