Bigotry of low expectations’: Soft racism at the heart of left-wing voter ID policy

By: SKY News, April 12, 2021:

Documentary Filmmaker Ami Horowitz says a form of “soft racism” creates the basis of left-wing arguments against voter ID laws aimed at preventing electoral fraud.

Voter ID laws which require Americans to show ID before they vote, have been condemned by many on the left who argue it will disadvantage the black community.

However Mr Horowitz said the vast majority of all black people have “no problem whatsoever in showing ID” labelling Democrat concerns a “manufactured controversy”.

“You can see the condescension of the left when it comes to how they view black people”.

“In my view it’s soft racism.

“It is the bigotry of low expectations.”

Mr Horowitz shared a personal story about turning out to vote in a general election in California after his father passed away and finding his father’s name had already been signed and crossed out.

“This is a demonstrable example of voter fraud,” he said highlighting the need to introduce voter ID laws to prevent this type of behaviour.
