There is no other alternative to Governor Ron DeSantis should President Trump not run for POTUS in 2024. If an establishmentarian such as Nikki Haley wins the nomination, then the Republicans will suffer their worst defeat since Goldwater in 1964.

A Washington Times/CPAC poll released on Sunday showed that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) would dominate the Republican field of presidential candidates for 2024 if former President Donald Trump decides not to run for president again.

The poll, which found that over 95% of respondents approved of the job that Trump did as president, showed that voters were concerned most about election integrity, border security, constitutional rights, and economic issues.

More than two-thirds of respondents said that they wanted Trump to run again, while 15% said they did not, and 17% were unsure. A staggering 95% of respondents want the GOP to continue pursuing the policies of Trump.

If Trump were to run for president again, 55% of respondents said they would vote for him, followed by 21% for DeSantis, and 4% for South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem. If Trump is not on the ticket in 2024, 43% of respondents said that they would vote for DeSantis, followed by 11% for Noem.

he top issues for respondents, who were allowed to select three, ranked greatest to least:

  1. Election Integrity – 62%
  2. Constitutional Rights – 48%
  3. Immigration/Border Wall – 35%
  4. Reopening the Economy – 32%
  5. Second Amendment – 26%
  6. Taxes/Budget/Spending – 22%
  7. National Security/Foreign Policy – 20%
  8. Dignity/Pro-Life – 16%

When it comes to former President Donald Trump’s issue agenda and policies, which of the following comes closest to your personal opinion?

  1. Republicans should continue Donald Trump’s issue agenda and policies – 95%
  2. Republicans should change direction and move away from Donald Trump’s issue agenda and policies – 3%
  3. Unsure – 2%

Would you like to see Donald Trump run for president again in 2024?

  1. Yes – 68%
  2. No – 15%
  3. Unsure – 17%

Thinking ahead, if the 2024 Republican primary for president in your state were held today among the following candidates, for whom would you vote?

  1. Donald Trump – 55%
  2. Ron DeSantis – 21%
  3. Kristi Noem – 4%
  4. Nikki Haley – 3%
  5. Mike Pompeo – 2%

Now among a different list of candidates, which does not include Trump, if the 2024 Republican primary for president in your state were held today, for whom would you vote?

  1. Ron DeSantis – 43%
  2. Kristi Noem – 11%
  3. Donald Trump Jr. – 8%
  4. Mike Pompeo – 7%
  5. Ted Cruz – 7%

DeSantis spoke at CPAC on Friday where he highlighted actions that he has taken to advance the issues most important to conservatives.

“In far too many places, we see schools closed, businesses shuttered, and lives destroyed,” DeSantis said. “And while so many governors over the last year, had kept locking people down, Florida lifted people up. Florida is leading in protecting our vulnerable residents, saving the economy, and safeguarding the freedom of our people. In Florida, schools are open. Every Floridian has a right to earn a living and all businesses have a right to operate.”

“Florida’s also leading in protecting our people from political censorship and in holding big tech accountable,” DeSantis continued. “When our legislature convenes next month, it will pass and I will sign the most ambitious reforms yet proposed for combating political censorship and deep platforming, for preventing big tech from interfering in our elections, and for safeguarding the privacy of your personal data. In Florida, we are not going to let the terms of the debate in our country be set by oligarchs in Silicon Valley.”

“Florida’s leading on the issues that matter to conservatives,” he said. “We don’t spout hollow rhetoric, we take decisive action. And what’s true in Florida is true for conservatives across the nation, we cannot, we will not go back to the days of the failed Republican establishment of yesteryear.”

“We reject open borders and instead support American sovereignty and the American worker,” he added. “Building a movement on the foundation of amnesty and cheap foreign labor is like building a house on a field of quicksand. We reject weakness in the face of the threat posed by China, including their actions in international trade. We reject military adventurism, instead support a strong defense solely for the purpose of protecting our nation and its people.”

Where is that in the Constitution? In fact the original elections the VP was voted in by the House. The only stipulations on the VP are the same 3 as the President. There is an article that states that they can’t be but where is it in the Constitution?

From the History channel:
There are many misconceptions about the rules of a president choosing their running mate. There’s no law or regulation against a president and vice president of the United States being from the same state. The reason why some people mistakenly believe such a prohibition exists comes down to a particular aspect of the Electoral College system laid out in Article II of the U.S. Constitution.

So what is the particular aspect? Not that it matters since we’ll be lucky to ever have a clean election again.

Since you mentioned that and I’ve never heard it I had to look it up…I guess we both know the real answer now.

De Santis will be no more than a temporary stop-gap at best, if he can even get elected when the Swamp knows it now can steal all elections. The ONLY long run solution is teaching Objectivism in the schoolroom.

“The philosophy of the schoolroom in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next.” – Abraham Lincoln

“2024 Will Be Too Late; We’re in a Dictatorship NOW. How on earth can anyone think the next “election” will come out any differently than the last one–especially after 4 years of relentless dictatorship? If Trump, as one man, can literally save all of civilization, then why couldn’t he in 2020? You can call it faith, but I call it delusional to suggest that facts can be wished away.

I cherished President Trump and will always be grateful for what he did, and also tried to do. But denial does not serve us well. The leftists played the long game. They took over the schools, the government, the media and even the corporate world. Leftists are incurably irrational, and frankly evil. But they now run everything. They are at war with reality, and they cannot ultimately win that war. They are delusional, and delusion is weakness. But it’s going to take a lot more than placing hope in another rigged election in 2024 to reverse all that they’ve done, and are prepared to do to us now. We’re at war, sadly. America is an occupied country. We are now in a position of having to defend ourselves, because these awful people are worse than the Nazis and Communists combined. Don’t hold out for 2024. It will be way too late if you do that.” – Michael J Hurd

Like an infamous person once said, “At this point what difference does it make?”

Without real election reform, why would any of us believe our vote would count ever again?

Our feckless legislators have failed at ensuring any semblance of legitimacy in the election process. There isn’t even a pretense anymore that the elections are legitimate. And, worst of all, nobody cares. If people cared, there would be criminal investigations, perpetrators of vote fraud would be in jail and the election process would undergo major change.

How, exactly, did you ever find any Real Conservatives who claimed they would bother voting ever again?
