Boston public schools cancel new advanced classes for high performing students because of racial inequalities

One school committee member called the statistics ‘disturbing’

By: Carlos Garcia, The Blaze, February 26, 2021

Story continues below advertisement

Boston Public Schools officials said that a program with advanced learning classes would be cancelled over concerns that the classes served disproportionate racial groups.

The program known as Advanced Work Classes was intended to serve high-performing students in the fourth, fifth and sixth grade. Students are encouraged to study their subjects in a deeper and non-traditional manner.

School officials became concerned when a report showed that the program was disproportionately serving white students, and underserving black and Hispanic students.

The district analysis found that more than 70% of the students in the program were white or Asian, while nearly 80% of the students in the district are Hispanic or black.

“This is just not acceptable,” said School Committee member Lorna Rivera in a school meeting in January. “I’ve never heard these statistics before, and I’m very very disturbed by them.”

Rivera cited one finding at one school that showed the program included 60% white fourth graders though a majority of third graders are black or Hispanic.

Superintendent Brenda Cassellius told WGBH News on Friday that they would put the program on hiatus over the racial findings.

“There’s been a lot of inequities that have been brought to the light in the pandemic that we have to address,” Cassellius said. “There’s a lot of work we have to do in the district to be antiracist and have policies where all of our students have a fair shot at an equitable and excellent education.”

Students would be eligible in the program if they scored high on a test in third grade. Of those, participants were chosen by lottery. Officials said 453 students were invited to the program last fall, 143 students applied and 116 enrolled for the 2021 year.

Cassellius said students already enrolled in the program could continue, but it would be phased out for fourth and fifth grades.

Here’s more about disparities at Boston public schools:

African-born and raised, my observation is that, collectively, America’s blacks are the world’s worst racists. The complete insensitivity to their own racism sets new standards for stupidity. I’d be fascinate to know the race of this Lorna Reviera. She considers it “unacceptable” that while “nearly 80% of the students in the district are Hispanic or black”, “70% of the students in the program were white or Asian.” If she’s not a black racist she’s possibly one of those brain-dead liberal white Americans who are total freaks. Very evident this school board is led by imbeciles. Conservative white Americans have got to fight back!

Asian kids had sued Harvard because they were required to score 1380 on their SATs, while kids from three other racial groups only had to score 1100. They ended up losing, because it’s okay to be racist when the leftists (and leftist juries) say it’s okay.

No, they are the graduates of the academy of the morality of altruism (self-sacrifice) and its social implementation; egalitarianism and socialism. Until people understand that morality is the most powerful motivating force in human nature they won’t understand the power of morality. The vast majority, 95%, of human beings WANT to be moral (sociopaths and psychopaths are always a tiny minority), even when the morality they have chosen is actually evil.

The Nazis actually thought they were being moral, the Soviets too, and so did the 9/11 hijackers. We need to realize that.

“Facts don’t matter when you’re morally right.” – AOC

“In spite of all their irrationalities, inconsistencies, hypocrisies and evasions, the majority of men will not act, in major issues, without a sense of being MORALLY RIGHT and will not oppose the morality they have accepted. They will break it, they will cheat on it, but they will not oppose it; and when they break it, they take the blame on themselves. THE POWER OF MORALITY IS THE GREATEST OF ALL INTELLECTUAL POWERS—and mankind’s tragedy lies in the fact that the vicious moral code men have accepted destroys them by means of the best within them.” – Ayn Rand

“Most people who oppose socialized medicine do so on the grounds that it is moral and well-intentioned, but impractical; i.e., it is a noble idea — which just somehow does not work. I do not agree that socialized medicine is moral and well-intentioned, but impractical. Of course, it is impractical — it does not work — but I hold that it is impractical because it is immoral. This is not a case of noble in theory but a failure in practice; it is a case of vicious in theory and therefore a disaster in practice…. I want to focus on the moral issue at stake. So long as people believe that socialized medicine is a noble plan, there is no way to fight it. You cannot stop a noble plan — not if it really is noble. The only way you can defeat it is to unmask it — to show that it is the very opposite of noble. Then at least you have a fighting chance.” – Leonard Peikoff

Name one follower of The Religion of Atheism that will sacrifice itself for the good of others.

Yet, they (Religion of Atheism) are the ones that set these policies.

Moreover, individualism has never been selfish. Only those that want to take from others, to give to themselves and others of their ilk, are the selfish ones. And, predominately, they are, close to, ALL members of The Religion of Atheism.

I don’t know whether to ignore you or not. You’re unreachable. Your ignorance of Objectivism and atheism is aggressive, intransigent, and incorrigible. I think ignoring you is the best course, life is short. Why should I sacrifice my time and effort for an aggressively ignorant fool. I’m not an altruist.

“Reason is not automatic. Those who deny it cannot be conquered by it. Do not count on them. Leave them alone….

To redeem both man and morality, it is the concept of “selfishness” that one has to redeem.

The first step is to assert man’s right to a moral existence—that is: to recognize his need of a moral code to guide the course and the fulfillment of his own life . . . .

The reasons why man needs a moral code will tell you that the purpose of morality is to define man’s proper values and interests, that concern with his own interests is the essence of a moral existence, and that man must be the beneficiary of his own moral actions.

Since all values have to be gained and/or kept by men’s actions, any breach between actor and beneficiary necessitates an injustice: the sacrifice of some men to others, of the actors to the nonactors, of the moral to the immoral. Nothing could ever justify such a breach, and no one ever has.

The choice of the beneficiary of moral values is merely a preliminary or introductory issue in the field of morality. It is not a substitute for morality nor a criterion of moral value, as altruism has made it. Neither is it a moral primary: it has to be derived from and validated by the fundamental premises of a moral system.

The Objectivist ethics holds that the actor must always be the beneficiary of his action and that man must act for his own rational self-interest. But his right to do so is derived from his nature as man and from the function of moral values in human life—and, therefore, is applicable only in the context of a rational, objectively demonstrated and validated code of moral principles which define and determine his actual self-interest. It is not a license “to do as he pleases” and it is not applicable to the altruists’ image of a “selfish” brute nor to any man motivated by irrational emotions, feelings, urges, wishes or whims.

This is said as a warning against the kind of “Nietzschean egoists” who, in fact, are a product of the altruist morality and represent the other side of the altruist coin: the men who believe that any action, regardless of its nature, is good if it is intended for one’s own benefit. Just as the satisfaction of the irrational desires of others is not a criterion of moral value, neither is the satisfaction of one’s own irrational desires. Morality is not a contest of whims . . . .

A similar type of error is committed by the man who declares that since man must be guided by his own independent judgment, any action he chooses to take is moral if he chooses it. One’s own independent judgment is the means by which one must choose one’s actions, but it is not a moral criterion nor a moral validation: only reference to a demonstrable principle can validate one’s choices.

Just as man cannot survive by any random means, but must discover and practice the principles which his survival requires, so man’s self-interest cannot be determined by blind desires or random whims, but must be discovered and achieved by the guidance of rational principles. This is why the Objectivist ethics is a morality of rational self-interest—or of rational selfishness.

Since selfishness is “concern with one’s own interests,” the Objectivist ethics uses that concept in its exact and purest sense. It is not a concept that one can surrender to man’s enemies, nor to the unthinking misconceptions, distortions, prejudices and fears of the ignorant and the irrational. The attack on “selfishness” is an attack on man’s self-esteem; to surrender one, is to surrender the other.” – Ayn Rand

How can you espouse the gravity of the “Power of Morality” without referencing the GOD of our fathers, Abraham, Isaac , and Jacob? Isn’t the ” Alpha and the Omega” the author and finisher of our moral compass? Then again, atheism/agnosticism are close relatives and logic derived from such beliefs are, in my humble opinion, hopelessly lost.

There is no evidence or proof that your God exists. Or that somehow rights and morality somehow emanate from his will. Or that God is a “he”. I defend your right to believe in Yahweh and follow your religion but rights and morality require objective, demonstrable, evidence based, logical proof, even if, on a personal level, you want to maintain that rights somehow also come from God.

How do you prove to an American who doesn’t share your religious beliefs that rights are right? How do you prove to a non-Christian what morality is? Are you going to just say “Just listen to Yahweh, just obey Yahweh, just read the Bible.”, but the non-Christian doesn’t believe in your Bible or Yahweh. So you’re still left with the obligation and responsibility to prove in an objective and demonstrable way WHY this is moral and that there is not, WHY this is right and that is wrong. You can’t just say “Because God says so, because the Bible says so” and leave it at that, It won’t work with non-Christians.

This is what happened to our children in the public schools when the little Black Children were first allowed into the white schools after Martin Luther King won them their freedom to integrate. They dropped down the requirements for passing test…. they dumb down the children’s learning to compensate for the Lack of Teaching to the Black Children. This destroyed our Education System. Instead of bringing the Black Children up to par… they decreased the learning requirements for our White Children and just like now they stopped all programs for Higher Education for the Exceptional White Children. This is not RIGHT… this is so very UNFAIR to our Children no matter what color their skin is.

Individual human beings don’t exist only the collective hive exists. An individual child is not an individual child but only a mere appendage of a collective. A mere appendage, a mere cog, a unit, to be manipulated, used, and even destroyed if need be in the service of the collective.

Take your pick — racism or anti-racism, but never individualism. Individualism is SELFISH and selfishness is evil.

If all the child units of our Borg cannot reach the mountaintop the Borg will raze the mountain. No more mountain.

Life will be boring, in fact life will be impossible, death for all will be the result. Oh, but the love, the altruistic love! Every child unit sacrificed for every other child unit! Every child unit their brother’s keeper! Mutual sacrifice all around for everyone, love your child unit neighbor as you love yourself, no love him more than you love yourself, that is the highest moral ideal!

“Facts don’t matter when you’re morally right!” – AOC

“Collectivism means the subjugation of the individual to a group—whether to a race, class or state does not matter. Collectivism holds that man must be chained to collective action and collective thought for the sake of what is called “the common good.”…

Modern collectivists . . . see society as a super-organism, as some supernatural entity apart from and superior to the sum of its individual members….

The political philosophy of collectivism is based on a view of man as a congenital incompetent, a helpless, mindless creature who must be fooled and ruled by a special elite with some unspecified claim to superior wisdom and a lust for power.” – Ayn Rand

I wonder how many of the students, currently enrolled in the Advanced Work Classes, will eventually leave the program because of the ‘extra burden’ the lower performing students will put on it. If lower performing students aren’t cutting the mustard in regular classes, who in their right minds would think they could perform in advanced classes? Like giving the bar exam to a high school graduate. This is just one of many plans underway, to wipe out the U.S. education system. And they’re doing a good job of it.

KRAKEN IS RELEASED!!!!

Trump Mulls White House Bid in CPAC Speech: “I May Even Decide to Beat Them for the Third Time”
Former President Donald Trump delivered his first major speech after leaving office, charting a path forward for the Republican Party and conservatives but suggesting that he might run in 2024.
“I may even decide to beat them for the third time,” he said.
Trump said the conservative movement he created “is far from being over” but did not declare that he would try to run against for president in 2024. “There’s never been a journey more successful,” he remarked, adding that conservatives “will be victorious and stronger and greater than ever before.”
“The future of the Republican Party is as a party that defends the social, economic, and cultural interests and values of working American families—of every race, every color, and every creed. Republicans believe that the needs of everyday citizens must come first,” he said on Sunday at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Orlando, Florida. Republicans over the next four years will be the bulwark against socialism, communism, and Biden administration policies. “I’m going to continue to fight right by your side,” he said, adding that he won’t create a “brand new party,” adding: “I am not starting a new party.” Trump has discussed privately running again for president in 2024, according to advisers. The former president has only delivered a few interviews to news outlets since he departed office in January.

There is absolutely nothing racist about these tests. Each student is given the same fair chance to succeed. It just so happens that Whites and Asians (Indians/Chinese, etc) happen to excel academically, partly due to IQ and partly because their families push their children to succeed. These kids become our future scientists, engineers, surgeons, CEOs, etc that help advance our species.

The smart thing to do is to try to help underperforming kids rise up to the next level, rather than taking over-achievers and bring them down to the level of the bovine herd. If the blacks/hispanics can’t keep up then that’s just too bad for them. Hobbling the smart kids or dropping standards doesn’t help anyone. We certainly wouldn’t tolerate that in sports, so why is it allowed in academics?

Many years ago, when considering a graduate degree in social work – and then in education, I was horrified when I read the curricula for each program.

Each was, to my astonishment at the time, a garbled mess of of lazy thinking, dishonesty, and reverse-racism.

Today, the fruit of that poison tree is everywhere in education.

Less than mediocre “educators” are prepared to destroy practical education itself, in order to level the results of disparate groups.

White children who excel in school are increasingly sacrificed to the god of “equity” – their opportunities to enter advanced classes diminishing all the time, as “gifted” programs are closed, or diluted beyond recognition.

This, of course, is obvious. What is not as obvious is that opportunities for gifted minority students are reduced as well.

The education bureaucrats then, while dismantling education, employ Orwellian double-speak.

Here again is Superintendent Brenda Cassellius, who announced that…the program was to be put “on hiatus” over the racial findings:
“There’s been a lot of inequities that have been brought to the light in the pandemic that we have to address,” Cassellius said. “There’s a lot of work we have to do in the district to be antiracist and have
policies where all of our students have a fair shot at an equitable and excellent education.”

Translation: Since minority children can’t, or won’t succeed – no one will.

Ruch met Cuomo at a mutual friend’s wedding reception in Sept. 2019. The two had a discussion after Cuomo offered positive thoughts about the newlyweds.

According to The New York Times, Cuomo allegedly placed his hand on Ruch’s lower back, which she removed with her own. He allegedly said she was “aggressive,” placed his hands on her cheeks, and loudly asked if he could kiss her. As Cuomo leaned in to kiss her, Ruch pulled away.

“I was so confused and shocked and embarrassed,” Ruch told The Times. “I turned my head away and didn’t have words in that moment.”

Mitt Romney knocked unconscious, suffers black eye during fall

Sen. Mitt Romney was knocked unconscious when he fell in Boston over the weekend, leaving him with “a lot of stitches” and a black eye.
“I took a fall. Knocked me unconscious. But I’m doing better,” Romney told reporters on Capitol Hill Monday night.
<<<<<<<
Proof has cropped up that Romney (aka "Pierre Delecto") ran into an old friend with a grudge who took him behind the gym for a thrashing.
Video cams showed the suspect to be someone called Joseph Smith Jr.
Delecto was quoted as saying: “It’s my karma”.
“I apologize to everybody for all the evil I did and for all those lies I said”
Most of all mistakes I made (added Pierre-Romn Deloecto) is my abetting the Antichrist despite that my faith of Mormonism taught me to stand up to the Devil. Yes, I abetted the Antichrist Obama. And for that, I regret and offer my heart-felt excuses to Humanity. We all know Obama was Satan in Washington: he’s just a black homosexual, Chicago undocumented alien criminal/drug addict. We know his real name is Barry Parks and the reasons why he’s hiding his past. But we shut up and abetted the guy, aka the Devil Himself. We endured Obama for years and years and the stench of sulfur and hell-fire coming from him. Obama smells of fire and brimstone which is the Antichrist/Satan’s stench, added Pierre Delecto aka Romn. Obama’s 666 numbers curse is hair-raising added Pierre.

And why they are bringing in cheaper immigrants to do the work the Dems keep telling us our kids aren’t smart enough to do. Get rid of our intelligent middle class, open our borders.

So the Boston schools are going to cut out this accelerated-study class because *too many White and Asian kids were qualifying for it*? That is blatant racism, and should be punished under the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Didn’t they the drift yet? They should have used word “equity” instead of “equality”.

Remember the centuries-old saying, “It is not enough for me to win, but that my friends must lose.” This would be the current Democrat party and its grab for grift and powerpowerpower.
