House managers demand Trump testify in Senate impeachment trial

Story continues below advertisement

House impeachment managers are pressuring former President Donald Trump to testify at his Senate trial next week, saying he should dispute their allegations in person.

“In light of your disputing these factual allegations, I write to invite you to provide testimony under oath, either before or during the Senate impeachment trial, concerning your conduct on Jan. 6, 2021,” Democratic lawmaker Jamie Raskin, the lead House impeachment manager, wrote in a letter to Trump and his attorneys.

“If you decline the invitation, we reserve any and all rights, including the right to establish at trial that your refusal to testify supports a strong adverse inference regarding your actions (and inaction) on January 6, 2021.” the letter further threatens.

A Trump adviser did not immediately return a message seeking comment about the letter from House impeachment managers.

The Senate impeachment trial starts in earnest on February 9. Trump is charged with inciting a mob of supporters that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6.

Hunter Biden to ‘Cash In’ with Memoir Chronicling His ‘Personal Demons’
Joe Biden’s son to profit from book deal while Americans struggle

By: Jack Murphy
4th February 2021

While thousands of Americans are losing their jobs following Joe Biden’s new policies, his son, Hunter Biden, is now cashing in with a new memoir that will chronicle his “personal demons.” According to Gallery Books, the book “Beautiful Things” will explore Hunter’s struggles with substance abuse.“Beautiful Things” was kept under wraps while Biden’s business dealings became public and after the election when his finances became a matter of investigation by the Justice Department.

Joe Biden has repeatedly rejected criticism of his son’s financial dealings, asserting there is “no basis” Hunter profited from foreign business partners by selling access to his then Vice President father.

“Beautiful Things” saw advance praise from horror author Stephen King. King wrote:”In his harrowing and compulsively readable memoir, Hunter Biden proves again that anybody — even the son of a United States President — can take a ride on the pink horse down nightmare alley.”

“Biden remembers it all and tells it all with a bravery that is both heartbreaking and quite gorgeous.”He starts with a question: Where’s Hunter? The answer is he’s in this book, the good, the bad, and the beautiful.”

(Now we are supposed to see him as a victim, feel sorry for him and be supportive.)

In a snippet released by Gallery, Biden writes:“I come from a family forged by tragedies and bound by a remarkable, unbreakable love.” (Ah, love of money above all else.)

Rand Paul not the illustrious Ted Cruz, pointed that out and was over ruled when taken to a vote.

As I was saying…. we are a banana republic and have no excuse to not act like one and end the madness.

Colonel Gaddafi, with a Trump worldview, WHERE ARE YOU?

Left, right, the uniparty traitors MUST suffer the harshest punishment our Constitution provides for those who commit treason. As justice is dead in America, it’s up to us.

i`m sure someone here will remember, and correct or help me out. I remember a few decades ago, Our benevolent Government called a meeting in Washington, with all the news media. The gist,as I took it, was for media to be (favorable?) to big bro in their reporting. My memories to fuzzy. Anyone else recall in better detail ?

He will get an opening statement. He then relitigates the vote fraud election with all the new data and analyses. If leaky Leahy tries to stop him, he walks out stating he will not honor a kangaroo court that doesn’t allow him his choice of defense. If the Sargent at Arms tries to arrest him, it will create chaos.

So the morons claim “In light of your disputing these factual allegations” and that Trump needs to defend the delusional libturd allegations? They have no factual evidence and Trump doesn’t need to say anything as he is innocent!!!!!

Just one more try at insanity; and it is called separation of powers.
The Congress only has authority to hold a trial in impeachments – that is the limit of its judicial authority. It does not have prosecutorial jurisdiction for any other purpose.- that is for the courts.
And talk about a weak case – we have one count being insurrection by what the Georgia AG published. That’s just how insane it is; blaming Trump for other people’s misconduct.

There IS NO “senate trial” ….. the Constitution REQUIRES chief justice to preside – if he does not, there IS NO TRIAL. Besides, the purpose of the “trial” is to remove someone from Office – you can’t remove what ain’t there.

The definition of “Treason” is “making war against the Republic”
Attempting to “overthrow” the Republic IS “making war against the Republic”
The penalty for Treason is Death.

A second impeachment will keep Trump from ever holding public office. The democrats are afraid of Trump, so they are taking no chances. They are evil. This also explains 25,000 troops with lethal ammo and barbed wire around the capital.

They are worried the silent MAJORITY might not remain so silent as they set out to destroy us. Their show of force tells us what they are willing to do. They are evil. Elections can never again be trusted. Democrats will use the DOJ and military against US citizens.

They promised to end the voice of small states and minorities by eliminating the electoral college. They promised to stack the supreme court, turning it into an extension of the radical democratic party. They promised to end our first and second amendment rights. They promised to censor what we read, see, or hear. They promised to give our wealth to citizens of other countries even as we ignore our own hungry, homeless citizens in need. They campaigned on this.

They promised to hurt us. And we voted for this?

They promised to hurt us. Finally, they told the truth.

They promised to hurt us.
