Marc Lamont Hill Says That Black Lives Matter ‘Explicitly’ Looking To ‘Dismantle’ Israel and ‘Embrace’ BDS Movement

On February 6, the Democratic Socialists of America hosted an online panel discussion titled “DSA, BDS, and Palestine Solidarity.” One of the panelists was Marc Lamont Hill, a professor of media studies and urban education at Temple University and outspoken Black Lives Matter activist, who admitted that one of the explicit goals of the Black Lives Matter movement was to “embrace BDS” and “dismantle” the Jewish State of Israel.
Story continues below advertisement“This generation of activists say ‘No, let’s defund. No, no, let’s abolish. Let’s imagine new possibilities,’ and one of the new possibilities that they’ve imagined, um, is a world where, that is anti-imperialist,” stated Hill.

“They don’t want to just nation build, but they want to world make,” he continued. “And so Black Lives Matter very explicitly is talking about the dismantling of, um, of the Zionist project, dismantling of a settler-colonial project and very explicitly embracing BDS on those grounds.”
The deliberate mischaracterization of Israel as a colonialist “settler” state is part of an anti-Semitic smear used to delegitimize Israel’s right to exist. According to the “working definition of anti-Semitism” provided by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) — a definition adopted and endorsed by the United States State Department under the Biden administration — this form of rhetoric is “denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination,” an example of anti-Semitism. In addition, the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanction (BDS) movement has been criticized by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), who have stated that “BDS advocates employ antisemitic rhetoric and narratives to isolate and demonize Israel.”
Earlier in the panel discussion, Hill also said that “our fates are bound up with one another,” that “at the analytical level we understand that we can’t dismantle white supremacy or imperialism ‘section by section,’ that these systems don’t have passports or visas, they don’t stop at borders, that these are international transnational movements,” and that there was “no way to stop a settler colonial movement in Palestine and not be mindful of its relationship to a settler colonial project in New Zealand or Australia or the United States.”
Hill then continued to imply a connection between systemic police racism and Israel.

I wouldn’t say they’re worse as a group, but they certainly have hatred for Jews as a whole. To be fair there’s a lot of groups with sizable percentages that hate Jews, but from what I see followers of the pedophile ‘profit’ are the worst.

As a supporter of Israel, someone who has no stomach for antisemitism or any bigotry against ANY individual, someone who views Pamela Geller as an ally fighting for truth and justice, I implore everyone to refrain from citing the ADL in a positive manner because they have shown themselves to be a WICKED organization and an enemy to truth and justice for all.
We don’t need to cite ANYTHING from the ADL to clearly show Lamont Hill is just as evil as the ADL is.

I don’t know anything about this individual but he gives every indication of being intelligent and articulate, therefore I can only conclude that he is morally and intellectually corrupt and filled with malice. It doesn’t take much effort to find out about how and why modern Israel was founded or the evil nature of Islam.
A university professor cannot be given the benefit of the doubt, neither ignorance nor innocence can be assumed at that level of learning.
If by some chance (Affirmative Action) he really is ignorant he has no right to be called a university professor.

Absolutely! Ever since Black Lives Matter appeared on the scene I’ve heard and read utterances and statements from these black Americans. One thing really strikes me about them and was they have to say; they are astoundingly gifted in talking utter crap and ignorant crap at that. This Marc Lamont is a ‘professor’ – which tells us just how stupid a ‘professor’ can be and how deep education has sunk in America – yet talks like an ignorant imbecile who while deeply ingrained with anti-Jew bias and hatred, is utterly ignorant of the history of Israel and the Jewish people. Facts and historical reality have no affect on a fool like this, he enjoys his hatred and mindless stupidity, steeped as it is in rubbish about colonialism and other nonsense. Does he even know that in 637AD the Arabs invaded what is today Israel and occupied what was not their’s to occupy? Does he know that just as the Arabs in 637 displaced inhabitants who remained after the Roman displacement of Jews, they in turn were displaced. Would he care if he did?

It’s strange that one of BLM’s main goals has nothing to do with black issues. I understand about intersectionality, but of all the many real and worthy causes, dismantling Israel, and solidarity with a people who adhere to a religion and ideology that encourages hate and the killing gay and lesbians for who they are, and BLM being funded by mostly LBGTS, just tells you everything you wanna know about BLM. Their so called “struggles” are fabricated, dependent by whoever is funding them.
This is not an organic organization. What does the average Black American know about Israel and the Palestinians? And really, would most of them put Palestinians‘ issues above their own needs if they did?
Would the Palestinians do the same for Black folk? I believe not.
