Austin asks hundreds of Pentagon policy advisers to resign ahead of review

Feb. 2 (UPI) — Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has called for the resignation of hundreds of volunteer advisers to the Pentagon appointed by former President Donald Trump in the final months of his presidency, as well as a review of the committees they serve on.
Story continues below advertisementThe Pentagon announced the “zero-based review” of all of its advisory committees on Tuesday, following a memo issued by Austin last weekend outlining the review, specifying the committees and setting deadlines for adviser resignations.
AdvertisementAustin gave the advisers until Feb. 16 to resign or be terminated, and said the work of 42 committees will be reviewed and changes recommended by June 1, in the memo, which was first reported by The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and Politico.

Defense department officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, have said Austin became concerned about the unprecedented pace of appointments Trump made toward the end of his term…….

Of course President Trump should have done the same thing. The fact that we didn’t criticize him for not doing it is scandalous for both he and us.
It’s called Team Building and it is, was, and will remain his blind spot.
The Presidency is a Team Sport. The actual POTUS is the Coach, but he is not everyone. Trump never got this. His “I’m the Boss; You’re Fired” persona wasn’t an act. It’s who he is, and it often works very well in business. In the presidency? No, that’s not how the game is played.
Rapeyfingers has no network. Nobody likes him beyond “he’s a nice old rapist, and loyal,” but nobody respects him as a leader.
As a useful idiot? Oh, yeah… that’s Fingers all the way.
He was told “we have hundreds of Defense Patronage job to fill – clear the slate!”
And he did.
And he’ll do it again.
And Trump should have absolutely done the same thing. Patronage jobs tend to foster loyalty – something that Trump never got, other than by pure chance.
The Presidency is a blood sport, in business terms. Trump never got that.

Before obimbo was even inaugurated, requests for letters of resignaion were sent to all non Clinton appointed attorneys-at-law.
Why President Trump never did this was always beyond me. He promised to “clean the swamp” and this would have been the easiest starting point, as his predecessor did such. Any questions could have been answered with, “I’m only doing what Obama did. Following his example is a good thing, isn’t it?”.

if they do this and ignore how this has to be done via the Constitution(because they won’t be able to do it; you need 2/3 of the states or more to agree to it) then the American people will have to decide if they are willing to rise up to fight to save this country or not.

A Newsmax host on Tuesday walked off camera in the middle of an interview with MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell after the businessman and vocal supporter of former President Trump refused to stop voicing unsupported claims of fraud in the 2020 election.
Anchor Bob Sellers and fellow host Heather Childers attempted to interview Lindell on conservative complaints of “cancel culture” after Twitter permanently suspended his account last week over his continued efforts to advance allegations that the vote was rigged in favor of President Biden.
Twitter on Monday also officially banned the MyPillow company account after Lindell utilized it to make several posts attacking Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and promoting unsubstantiated claims of election fraud.

Conservative commentator Curt Schilling had his insurance policy dropped from AIG the other day after the company had a look at his “social media profile” and found it to be unacceptable.
Schilling, a Trump supporter, had shared posts about election fraud and other pertinent issues, which according to the left means that he is a “domestic terrorist.” Schilling has thus been dropped by AIG.
“We will be just fine, but wanted to let Americans know that @AIGinsurance canceled our insurance due to my “Social Media profile,’” Schilling tweeted.

It started with social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, but is now reaching people’s employers and even their personal insurance policies.
Reports are also emerging to suggest that people suspected of supporting Trump are being cut off from banking services and put on the federal “no-fly” list for the “crime” of being a conservative.

Leftists always purge their political enemies. Biden’s call for unity is Orwellian Newspeak. Obviously it means the opposite.
As for filling govt positions with more black people, it may look good but that’s all it will achieve. Over the past 50 years, show me an American city that has improved as a result of increasing the number of blacks in govt. The evidence clearly shows a marked deterioration in most cities where blacks dominate city and county govt. Baltimore, Trenton, Chicago, Detroit and many other cities are ample evidence that skin color does not equate to governing competence. Never has. Never will.
If Biden gave a flying crap about improving the lives of black folks, he would support policies that discourage single mother households, support school choice, support vocational trade education, and support investment in black entrepreneurship. Instead, he’s fostering more dependence on government. Why? He’s desperate to keep the black vote. Without it, the Dem Party is toast.
