President Trump vetoed the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 Wednesday, calling it a “gift” to U.S. adversaries China and Russia, making good on a promise to veto it if it did not repeal a law that shields certain Big Tech companies from liabilities.
There is too much wrong with the bill.

“I am returning, without my approval, H.R. 6395 … My Administration recognizes the importance of the Act to our national security. Unfortunately, the Act fails to include critical national security measures, includes provisions that fail to respect our veterans and our military’s history, and contradicts efforts by my Administration to put America first in our national security and foreign policy actions. It is a ‘gift’ to China and Russia,” the president wrote.

The president denounced the legislation for not including language that would strip social media companies from the protections they enjoy under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. The measure, adopted in 1996, prevents companies such as Twitter and Facebook from being sued by anyone claiming to be harmed by a post. Trump, who claims social media companies are biased against conservatives, has said Section 230 is a threat to national security.

Trump is right. Media has been given certain privileges and protections but if there is misuse or abuse, these privileges should be withrawn.

That is not what it is about. The section he wants removed protects sites from being held liable for what others post on it. If sites are able to be sued for what others post on it, don’t you think that will encourage more moderating and censoring??

Paul Manafort who was forced to spend his time waiting for his trial in SOLITARY CONFINEMENT! Totally outrageous! He refused to lie about Trump. I was hoping he would pardon him.

Ah, Jared father, Charles Kushner who was rightfully convicted and served time in federal prison for embezzlement. He is a nasty guy… He doesn’t deserve a pardon….In addition to the embezzlement, a nasty argument between Charles Kushner and his brother Murray led to charges of violations of campaign-finance rules as part of a case. That led prosecutors to open an investigation into Charles’ conduct. Charles then tried to keep his sister from cooperating with prosecutors by setting up her husband with a prostitute, recording the encounter, and then threatening her with it. But that backfired when the sister handed over the tape. It’s a totally disgusting family. When Trump became President they were selling influence and trying to make money off getting people to apply for citizenship with the promise of creating jobs here. That needs to go. It’s selling citizenship!

Duncan Hunter’s ex-wife Margaret cooperated with the U.S. Attorney’s office in the prosecution of her husband on charges that he misused $250,000 in campaign donations for personal expenses such as family vacations and oral surgeries. Hunter, who was sentenced to 11 months in prison in March, was pardoned by Trump on Tuesday.
Jesse Benton is a Kentucky political operative who married into the family of Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., and was convicted in 2016 on charges tied to campaign finance violations. Benton and an associate, John Tate, were involved in an effort to pay bribes to an Iowa state senator in exchange for the lawmaker’s endorsement for Ron Paul’s 2012 presidential bid. Both men were handed a six-month home confinement and two years of probation. Tate was also pardoned on Wednesday.

I hope he gets around to pardoning Edward Snowdon. Now Trump can better understand what he did and why he fled the country. Our DOJ, CIA and FBI are hopelessly corrupt.
Another one I hope he considers is Julian Assange. His WIKI leaks helped Trump get elected and opened our eyes to the corruption. He didn’t do it for that reason. He simply wanted the truth to come out about corrupt people.

The other day, I caught part of Rush’s talk show. A doctor from L.A. called in. He stated the reasons the hospitals are filled up again is because Mexicans have the virus and won’t go to a hospital unless they are extremely ill since most are here illegally and visiting for the holidays. They contract it and spread it in their community. They aren’t exactly known for high hygiene standards either…
They are drunkards, perverts and other sorts of criminals…. If Biden gets in, he promised to tear down the wall and undo all Trump’s policies with Mexico, Honduras etc. and their fake asylum claim seekers.
