It says that the Marxist Left has jettisoned all pretense of accomplishing its aims by persuasion and is committed to the use of brute force. Having seen how well the COVID-19 hysteria worked to cow people and enforce government edicts, it should hardly be surprising if these thugs assume that outright intimidation and violence will also succeed.

THIS IS NOT NEW!
THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR AT LEAST 10 YEARS (that is when I started working as a poll challenger) IN BLACK NEIGHBORHOODS AND IT IS ONE REASON THAT YOU CANNOT GET REPUBLICAN POLL CHALLENGERS OR WATCHERS TO GO INTO THOSE AREAS.
AND THE GOP DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO EXPOSE THIS OR TO FIGHT IT.
