Seven dead and several injured in Austrian terror attack: Manhunt underway for ‘multiple suspects’ as gunman rampages through streets near synagogue and ‘another blows himself up’
Several people are thought to have been killed in a shooting rampage across six different places in Vienna
Police are urging people to avoid public transport and the Vienna city centre as they deal with the incident
There are reports of several attackers, with one accomplice said to have ‘blown themselves up’ amid rampage
Interior Minister Karl Nehammer told Austrian broadcaster ORF: ‘At the moment I can confirm we believe this is an apparent terror attack’
At least seven people are thought to have been killed with several others injured in multiple gun and suspected suicide attacks near a synagogue in Vienna.
A huge manhunt is currently underway for several attackers armed with rifles with police confirming shootings at six different locations, starting near the synagogue at 8pm local time. They are believed to have exchanged fire with the attackers.
One attacker is thought to have ‘blown themselves up’ during the rampage with another arrested and one shot dead by police. A police officer is also thought to have been shot and seriously injured. Vienna mayor Michael Ludwig said 15 people were admitted to hospital, seven with serious injuries.
The rampage comes on the last evening before Austria goes into lockdown, with bars and restaurants in the country closed from midnight tonight.
Shocking footage showing a man carrying an assault rifle and sprinting through the streets of Vienna and firing off shots was shared on social media, though it is unclear if he is the gunman behind the attack. More distressing footage appears to show the moment a man is shot by the attacker.
Interior Minister Karl Nehammer told Austrian broadcaster ORF: ‘At the moment I can confirm we believe this is an apparent terror attack.’
He added that the perpetrators are on the loose and ‘heavily armed and dangerous.’
‘We have brought several special forces units together that are now searching for the presumed terrorists. I am therefore not limiting it to an area of Vienna because these are mobile perpetrators,’ Nehammer said, urging the public to stay indoors until the all-clear is given.
Chancellor Sebastian Kurz described the shootings as a ‘hideous terrorist attack’. He tweeted: ‘We are currently going through difficult times in our republic. I would like to thank all the emergency services who risk their lives, especially today for our safety.
‘Our police will take decisive action against the perpetrators of this hideous terrorist attack. I am glad that our police officers have already been able to eliminate a perpetrator. We will never allow ourselves to be intimidated by terrorism and will fight these attacks resolutely by all means.’
Czech police said they had started random checks on the country’s border with Austria following Monday’s attack.
‘Police are carrying out random checks of vehicles and passengers on border crossings with Austria as a preventive measure in relation to the terror attack in Vienna,’ Czech police tweeted.

Yes well, both groups believe in One World Government. Their only conflict is who will be left in charge. Muslims will work that out later. Taqiyya goes a long way.
What you don’t seem to understand is that no matter what goes on on this earth, genuine Christians are “joyful” with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. We have eternity to look forward to and unspeakable joy! As an atheist, you have nothing to look forward to so the here and now is what is most important to you and things are not good out there…

You don’t understand Islam. Islam is an insecure works based religion. They really don’t know where they stand with rewards until they die. Martyrs are the only ones they believe are guaranteed Paradise or if they murder unbelievers without taking their own life they can also go to Pardise as long as they continue to be loyal to their fake Allah. That is their incentive and it is built in to Islam. This is where there is incentive to be a jihadist to murder people like you as well as those of faith unless you convert to Islam. The rest of the Muslims take their chances on where they spend eternity.
Genuine Christianity is not a works driven religion and we don’t run around murdering unbelievers. Genuine Christians also don’t have the eternity insecurity that Islam has. The here and now is not as important as it is for you. For you it is critical since this is all you have and dreams that money will make you happy in your self focused world. Lots of wealthy atheists are very unhappy…. You can look to Hollywood for examples of that.

It’s a choice to accept or reject that but at least understand what Christians believe and what they have to look forward to. The “prosperity gospel” is already going by the wayside. It’s a fraud.

I remember visiting a typical Music fest in front of Vienna City Hall a few years ago where beer was flowing, loud music was playing, people were having a good time with giant video screens showing picture upon picture of hijab’ed women to prove that Austria was an inclusive country. I couldn’t help wondering what was wrong with that picture and today we know. Muslims will assimilate as well as rattlesnakes into free open societies.

Western economies are dependant on growth. Economists have a figure in their heads that a certain % range is good and outside that it is bad. If a polly is going to either get into or stay in power they have to appear to be good economic managers. It is very easy to “grow” an economy just by increasing the population. That is the economy is simply a money pump. More people means more money circulating. All main stream polly parties have this issue. So the population has not got the choice to control immigration. There is not a “sensible” alternative to vote for. Now look at where these migrants can come from. The major source are “trouble spots” that were created by their own values. And then they move to the USA for example. Values don’t change when a person crosses a border. Trump wanted to be more selective of the immigrants let in. That was “racist” because it would block certain people. No care is given that those leaving these places are most likely the change agents the country needs so creating more chaos. Is skilled migration the 1st world preying on the 2nd and 3rd world? Search “jyoti singh lifedeathprizes” and Why did India send her to Singapore for medical care (where she died)?
Search these all starting with “world map” – “world map average IQ”, “marry first cousins” “corruption”, “muslims”. The 2 smartest nations don’t have a jihadi problem. Also “long term inbreeding of muslims”.You might think of other searches. I’ve typed too much.

I suspect this could be the start of WW3 between Islam and the West. If we respond with weakness to Islamic terrorism, Muslims will kill more people, if we fight back, they will kill more people. Either way people are going to die, so we are better off fighting back since we have a chance of defeating them.
Cowardice will only allow evil to triumph. If Muslims win that won’t bring about any peace. Then you’ll become a slave of Islam, bowing to their cult, joining their Jihad until the world is converted to Islam. True peace will only come when Islam, like Nazism is eradicated.
In a way we have Muslims to thank for giving western leaders the swift kick in the butt they need to start taking Islam seriously. I suspect there are probably many raging non-Muslims who will mete out their own form of justice against Muslims.
The tit-for-tat attacks will increase until we eventually have open warfare on our streets, beginning in European nations that are most heavily infected with the Islam plague like France, Sweden, Belgium and the UK. Hopefully this won’t fizzle out and then people of western nations will start putting right-wing, anti-Islam parties in power, then the real fun will begin.
However our leaders should work much harder to make sure Muslims don’t get nukes, they will definitely use them. Pakistanis are already calling to nuke France, the Netherlands and India. We need to take away their nukes before they take out some cities. It wouldn’t take much to trigger them.
For sure, Muslims write poems about martyrdom and pray 5 times a day to kill us ‘infidels’ so a Muslim bomb nuking a major city would be a natural consequence of their death cult ideology.
Pakistan nearly nuked India when Bill Clinton was president, he stepped in and prevented it from happening. People take their peace and freedom for granted and don’t realize it can be suddenly taken away overnight.
I hope it doesn’t come to that and that the intelligence services will step in and prevent it. Additionally most advanced nations do have a missile shield, but anything can happen.
Should the Muslims be stupid enough to nuke a western city, the country that did it will be turned into a sheet of molten glass and other Muslim nations could face the same fate.
The fallout won’t be good for the planet, so our leaders need to wise up and take away nukes from Islamic states that have them like Pakistan and Iran.
How would anyone determine which muslum state was responsible for an act of nuclear terrorism? There are no bomb fragments to examine after a nuclear detonation. If Pakistain and/or Iran were to hand off nuclear bombs to islamic terrorist groups (maybe even for money) could they still be held responsible for a third party using their nuclear bombs?

Whenever one asks Muslims to prove their religion and prophet to be true, all of them answer in a similar and very absurd and illogical way. They explain:
Muslim: Muhammad is a true prophet because the Quran says so.
Inquirer: What is the evidence that the Quran is true and divine?
Muslim: The Quran is true because Allah says so.
Inquirer: How do you to be certain that Allah is the true God and the Quran is His divine words?
Muslim: Allah is the true God because Muhammad said so.
Inquirer: And how do you know what Muhammad was true?
Muslim: Muhammad is true because the Quran says so.
This is called circular logic, proving something from its own source. It is like saying: I am the God, and the evidence for this is that I am saying so. Remember, no one trusts something that the claimer himself says. He has to prove himself either with evidences or with reason. The source of the Quran and Allah is only one and that source is Muhammad. Muhammad himself is claiming everything, and there is no evidence whatsoever that those claims are true and credible. Any thug and imposter can claim something in these ways. That doesn’t make that claim true. Not only that, whenever Muslims try to validate or justify any instruction or law of the Quran or of Islam—like the benefit of veil or growing beard or anything else—they give Quranic evidence in support of their claims, even to non-believers of the Quran. How foolish these behaviours are!
