A Biden Presidency and the American Gulag

29

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Kolyma) tweeted Friday: “Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future? I foresee decent probability of many deleted Tweets, writings, photos in the future.” Michael Simon, a former Obama administration staffer, tweeted in response (and later deleted the tweet): “Yes, we are. Every administration staffer, campaign staffer, bundler, lawyer who represented them – everyone.” He linked to “The Trump Accountability Project,” a website that proclaims ominously: “Remember what they did.” Remember it, apparently, in order to hound these people out of public life and into poverty or worse. Is the age of American gulags about to dawn?

Could be. Cannibal Leftist ideologue and failed media darling Reza Aslan tweeted: “This national nightmare is not over. We defeated Trump but we haven’t defeated Trumpism. It’s stronger today than it was 4 years ago. It’s a cancer at the heart of America. It’s the driving force of the GOP. And it must be fully excised from our society.” Excised how, Reza?

Emily Abrams, a Pete Buttigieg campaign worker, tweeted (and then made her account private): “We’re launching the Trump Accountability Project to make sure anyone who took a paycheck to help Trump undermine America is held responsible for what they did.” The Trump Accountability Project website proclaims its intention to destroy Trump supporters:

Quick note: Tech giants are snuffing us out. You know this. Facebook, Twitter, Google et al have shadowbanned, suspended and in some cases deleted us from your news feeds. They are disappearing us. But we are here. Subscribe to Geller Report newsletter here— it’s free and it’s critical NOW more than ever.

We must never forget those who furthered the Trump agenda.

We should welcome in our fellow Americans with whom we differ politically.

But those who took a paycheck from the Trump Administration should not profit from their efforts to tear our democracy apart. The world should never forget those who, when faced with a decision, chose to put their money, their time, and their reputations behind separating children from their families, encouraging racism and anti-Semitism, and negligently causing the unnecessary loss of life and economic devastation from our country’s failed response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Aside from the tissue of falsehoods this presents about the Trump administration, this statement raises the obvious question about what “the world” should do after it recalls all these things about Trump supporters. The answer is not hard to imagine: they should be shunned by everyone: denied employment, denied housing, denied a bank account, denied everything. Camps will have to be constructed to house them, unless Emily Abrams, Michael Simon and AOC want the streets to be filled with millions of starving Trump supporters. An American gulag will become reality.

Ultimately, Abrams, Simon, Ocasio-Cortez and their ilk will not be satisfied with anything short of the deaths of those whom they have targeted. You think that’s an exaggeration? Consider the fact that last year, fascist “journalist” Andrew Kaczynski of CNN tried to get the acting director of the Interior Department’s Bureau of Land Management, William Perry Pendley, fired not just for denying the Left’s “climate change” mythology, but also for opposing jihad violence and illegal immigration. The guy is in the Bureau of Land Management. What does that have to do with jihad violence and illegal immigration, much less “global warming”? Nothing. But that doesn’t matter. Kaczynski showed here that the cancel culture wants its targets nothing less than dead: if Pendley had sought a position as a grocery clerk, Kaczynski would have shown up to get him fired, because he departs from the Left’s orthodoxy.

Nor is Kacyzynski alone. A few years ago I was invited to address an education conference in California that had nothing whatsoever to do with Islam; the hate-filled fascist “Islamophobia” propagandist and future real estate agent Nathan Lean got the cowardly Catholic bishop Jaime Soto, under whose auspices the conference was being held, to cancel my appearance. (I spoke at the conference as scheduled, in a venue outside the bishop’s purview.) And also a few years ago, the Washington Post discovered that the Qur’an-burning pastor Terry Jones was driving for Uber; they duly got him fired. I don’t approve of book-burning, but it is not illegal in the United States, and the idea that a man must be hounded forever and prevented from making a living for views that dissent from the Left’s reveals what Leftists really are.

So it has been clear for years that if you dissent from Leftist orthodoxy, you must be destroyed. Not just “debunked” or “discredited” in your field, but also prevented from doing everything else, so that the only option you have is to die. Will Biden open the gulags? Or will he leave that to Kamala Harris? Or perhaps for a future President Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, elected in 2024 or 2028, now that stolen elections have become the norm in this unhappy nation?
