HUGE! President Trump Announces Israel, Sudan Agree to Normalize Ties in U.S.-Brokered Deal: Another Major Step Toward Peace in Middle East

‘Yes, yes, yes’: Why peace with Khartoum would be true paradigm shift for Israel

Story continues below advertisement

The big, poor African state and the small, rich Gulf monarchies couldn’t be more different; for a start, unlike Bahrain and the UAE, Sudan actually went to war against Israel

Sudan will be third Arab country to broker normalization deal with Israel

Trump’s decision earlier this week to remove Sudan from the US list of state sponsors of terrorism helped pave the way for Khartoum to reach a deal on rapprochement with Israel.

By Reuters,  October 23, 2020:

President Donald Trump’s decision to remove Sudan from the US list of state sponsors of terrorism helped pave the way for Khartoum to become the latest Arab state to reach a deal on rapprochement with Israel, the official told Reuters, speaking on condition of anonymity.
It would mark a new foreign policy achievement for Trump as he seeks re-election on Nov 3 trailing in opinion polls behind Democratic rival Joe Biden.

Trump announced on Monday he would take Sudan off the terrorism list once it deposited the $335 million it had pledged to pay in compensation. Khartoum has since placed the funds in a special escrow account for victims of al-Qaeda attacks on US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998.

Trump on Friday formally notified Congress of “his intent to formally rescind Sudan’s designation as a State Sponsor of Terrorism,” the White House said, It called the move a “pivotal turning point” for Khartoum, which is seeking to emerge from decades of isolation.

At the same time, Trump’s aides have been pressing Sudan to take steps toward normalizing relations with Israel, following similar US-brokered moves in recent weeks by the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.

The agreement is expected to commit to initial steps on economic and trade relations, with issues such as formal establishment of diplomatic ties and exchange of ambassadors to be resolved later, the senior US official said.

A key sticking point in the negotiations was Sudan’s insistence that any announcement of Khartoum’s delisting from the terrorism designation not be explicitly linked to establishing ties with Israel.

The military and civilian leaders of Sudan’s transitional government have been divided over how fast and how far to go in establishing ties with Israel.

Sudan’s designation as a state sponsor of terrorism dates to its toppled ruler Omar al-Bashir and has made it difficult for its transitional government to access urgently needed debt relief and foreign financing.

Many in Sudan say the designation, imposed in 1993 because Washington believed Bashir was supporting militant groups, has become outdated since he was removed last year.
US congressional legislation is needed to shield Khartoum from future legal claims over past attacks to ensure the flow of payments to the embassy bombing victims and their families.

VERY SAD that at 94 Mel Brooks cannot tell the difference between good (TRUMP) and evil (BIDEN). ACTIONS SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS.

BUT make no mistake, the Sudan government is not ‘nice’. They are far better than they were, and they are no longer a state sponsor of terrorism. So it makes sense that they would have that designation cancelled. And they did agree to pay reparations for the terrorist acts of the preceding government.

However, it’s better to consider the Sudan a ‘non-enemy’ rather than a real friend. Israel does not need to be BFF with Sudan anyway, all she needs is peace.

Liatris: Yes, and I think conservatives need to know this, otherwise we get bogged down in passing judgement on various tyrant governments. Both Moses and Jesus told us to not waste time trying to make everyone else perfect, it’ll never work. The best we can do is try to help them improve.

All tyrant governments are fundamentally bad, but some are dangerous to us, while others are not. And from this, we can make deals that work.

Of course, MSM will understate this, as opposed to the adulation they would have heaped on Obama/Biden had this happened under their watch. Ironically, it is unlikely it would have happened had Hillary (ooooooooh) been elected POTUS- she would have continued the mis-guided policies of the Obama administration. Her successor at State, a jerk named John Kerry, fairly oozed with banal, cocksure self-assurance as he opined how Israel could only have normal relations with the Moslem world once the “Palestinian” situation was resolved (Ref 1). Kerry, like the entire Democrat establishment, proved massively wrong.

I also think a genuine measure of credit belongs to Benjamin Netanyahu, who never gave up on the prospects of peaceful relations with the Moslem world, despite the decades of invective, hate and deception they have launched against Israel. I think his stewardship of the state of Israel will go down as one of the great achievements of stateceraft of our time.

Biden and Kamala and most of the Democrat Party have very, very DARK souls. There is hope for them WHEN AND IF they turn to God/Jesus. Otherwise, they will go deeper into DARKNESS and be lost with no way to get out.

Soon, very very soon, every person on Earth will have one last chance to choose RIGHTEOUSNESS/RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE to lead them. Once you take that stand, you will not be able to turn back and why would you want to? GOD is moving on the hearts of men and women all over the world, looking for a sliver of goodness in them. When He cannot find any, HE WILL MOVE ON, NEVER TO RETURN. Yes, folks, we ARE in the end times before the 7-year Tribulation period. BETTER LOOK INTO THE MIRROR AND LOOK AT WHO
YOU ARE NOW AND MAKE A POINT TO SEEK GOD’S HELP IN CHANGING ANYTHING BAD ABOUT YOURSELF. Just acknowledging THAT, will draw you by God’s Holy Spirit and He will then GUIDE YOU, if you will listen.

PRESIDENT TRUMP IS A MAN AFTER GOD’S OWN HEART BECAUSE HE IS ACKNOWLEDGING GOD, ISRAEL, AND RIGHTEOUSNESS. The Bible tells us that HE WHO BLESSES ISRAEL WILL BE BLESSED BY GOD ((Gen. 12:1-3) AND GOD DOES NOT LIE.

If you are not FOR GOD/RIGHTEOUSNESS, YOU ARE AGAINST HIM. There is no in between…….not anymore.

And it is our own damned fault for falling prey in our ignorance to the sexual revolution, abortion, birth control, divorce and summary destruction of the family. Sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll were satan’s unholy trinity to capture souls. Read what God says about it in Isaiah 10:1-7:

10:1. Woe to them that make wicked laws: and when they write, write injustice:

10:2. To oppress the poor in judgment, and do violence to the cause of the humble of my people: that widows might be their prey, and that they might rob the fatherless.

10:3. What will you do in the day of visitation, and of the calamity which cometh from afar? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?

10:4. That you be not bowed down under the bond, and fall with the slain? In all these things his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

10:5. Woe to the Assyrian, he is the rod and the staff of my anger, and my indignation is in their hands.

10:6. I will send him to a deceitful nation, and I will give him a charge against the people of my wrath, to take away the spoils, and to lay hold on the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

10:7. But he shall not take it so, and his heart shall not think so: but his heart shall be set to destroy, and to cut off nations not a few.

I wonder if Mrs Nasty Pelosi will call this a distraction also as she called the other Peace Deals with UAE and Bahrain, and lets hear from George Clooney as he was somewhat involved with Darfur ages ago, is he happy about this new peace deal I wonder, somehow I doubt it, though he would be 100% in favor if it was his savior that sat in the Oval Office for 8 years, and did NOTHING whatsoever, but who managed to get a Noble Prize for doing it… Go figure huh?.

HUGE. The gulf state agreements were great but by nations deeply into the international world of business and finance.and their peace agreements make pragmatic sense (not that there is anything wrong with that) But Sudan’s defection from the Arab Hate Machine is rather astonishing. Maybe they are sick of misery, war, terror and being international pariahs.

As of 2018, there were an estimated 465,000 kafir slaves in the Sudan:

But no one really knows how many people are being enslaved right now in the Sudan.

This is sad. Show me a single mudslime “nation” that has ever respected any peace treaty. The only language they understand is total extermination. Allah has ordered them to Live by the Sword, Die by the Sword, we would only be giving them what they crave.
