New York Times slammed for suggesting Trump might not remain on ballot after coronavirus diagnosis

‘Yet, the national press don’t want to be called the enemy of the people,’ Curtis Houck wrote

By Brian Flood | Fox News October 2, 2020:

The New York Times was slammed on Friday for suggesting that President Trump might not be able to remain on the ballot following his positive coronavirus test.

Trump announced that both he and first lady Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19 and will quarantine at the White House. A White House source told Fox News shortly after the president’s tweet that he and the first lady are “fine” and are in the quarantine process at the White House.

While many critics have sent the president well wishes, the Gray Lady was quick to float the idea that he should just scrap seeking re-election altogether.

“If he becomes sick, it could raise questions about whether he should remain on the ballot at all,” Times reporters Peter Baker and Maggie Haberman wrote after noting that Trump’s positive test throws “the nation’s leadership into uncertainty.”

NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck noticed the way the Times framed the story and swiftly blasted the paper.=

“No big deal. Just The New York Times openly wondering if (read: rooting for) Trump should QUIT the election and thus preemptively concede to Joe Biden,” Houck wrote. “And yet, the national press don’t want to be called the enemy of the people.”

The New York Times did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Others took to Twitter with thoughts on the Times:

Conclusions

The preponderance of scientific evidence supports that aerosols play a critical role in the transmission of SARS-CoV-2. Years of dose response studies indicate that if anything gets through, you will become infected.
✅ Thus, any respiratory protection respirator or mask must provide a high level of filtration and fit to be highly effective in preventing the transmission of SARS-CoV-2. (Works for Mycobacterium tuberculosis (3μm)
✅ Public health authorities define a significant exposure to COVID-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic COVID-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 30 minutes).
✅ The chance of catching COVID-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal.

Define “most”. Most N95 masks? Sure, OK.

Most of the rags we’re wearing? The ones with the entire nose uncovered, the huge gaps at the top fogging your glasses, the gaps on the sides big enough to reach in and pick your nose? Yeah, you know that’s how they are actually being worn. I doubt they are doing anything except making us touch our faces a lot more as we constantly adjust them.

moneekwa: Yes, the type of mask is a key issue. The review at the link describes what works and what doesn’t. And their statement, ” The chance of catching COVID-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal.” is good to know.
I especially like that it cites source documents.

That’s part of the problem. Uninformed people think you’re paranoid when you try to bring them up to date. You can see it on their faces and how they react. They can’t believe the left would be so crazy – so it must be YOU that is crazy.

Lots of people take Pepcid AC for heartburn, and it’s quite mild, with few side effects. Trump probably doesn’t have heartburn, the drug is also a safe treatment for Covid-19.

More Evidence Heartburn Drug May Help COVID-19 Patients
Another observational study adds fuel to the fire
https://www.medpagetoday.com/infectiousdisease/covid19/88119

More data from observational studies, this time in hospitalized patients, indicated that famotidine (Pepcid AC), which is used to treat heartburn, was associated with improved clinical outcomes in COVID-19 patients. Use of famotidine in a small group of 83 patients was associated with a lower risk of in-hospital mortality and a combined outcome of death and intubation, reported Jeffrey Mather, MS, of Hartford Hospital in Connecticut, and colleagues. Moreover, famotidine use was also associated with lower levels of serum markers indicating severe disease, the authors wrote in the American Journal of Gastroenterology.

The voodoo NYT and others of the voodoo MSM are orgasmic that the President is stricken with COVID-19. There’s no doubt, this godless scourge is ‘praying’; for Trump to die. It is called systemic hatred for not merely Trump but the values upon which the nation was founded.

Their unmitigated loathing of diverse politics or religiosity has no bounds. They are a vile assortment, a collective with an insatiable want of despotism and draconianism. There is Satan, then there is the Democrats and its legion of evildoers following their directive.

For a while back during obambam’s reign of incompetent stupidity I was starting to believe in cosmic evil. Now I realize it’s just old timey human evil, as in Pogo’s lament ‘we have met the enemy and he is us’.
No need for cosmic evil, ie, to blame it on ie satan or demons or whatever, it resides in in spades in human beings. We are truly our own worst enemies. And, if we continue to allow these evil leftist bastards leeway, we’ll all become extinct with them. The only thing I know for sure is that they WILL have to kill me as I stand against them and their perfidy, no quarter asked or given.
We have the most evil collection of reprobate soulless bastards in DC and the various media since our Founding, no doubt about that.

But you know as well as I, that the NYT is a blinded to truth as the rest of the left, and see only what they want to see. Boy, are there going to be a lot of dropped and broken “rose colored glasses” when the “real” election votes come out.

They just don’t cheat well enough to beat the Lord, and it’s He who makes the final decision.

The only way Trump won’t get another four years is if the Christian world hasn’t returned to their One True God for that would mean the few of us true Christians there are, would be taken and the guilty would be left to the world they have made to be their god. Those will be the ones left behind with the democrats and the rest of the devils children…

Hello grandma! So very nice to hear from you! Yes, the NYT is a tool used by the enemies from within and without to destroy the heart and soul of the Republic. May a pit be dug for the wicked and we rejoice in the defeat of the wicked!

When I wake during the night, I whisper prayers and during the day my cry is to the Lord for his salvation. My hope and faith is in Him.

What the evil accuse us of, what they accuse Trump of, is what in reality they are doing! They describe their schemes but attribute it to their opponents. No wonder God hates all liars! No wonder all liars will spend eternity in hell. It is enough to make me tremble! How glorious it will be when this earth is forever wiped clean of evil!

Take care dear grandma. 🙂

They also want to delay Amy Barrette’s nomnation. They are already dragging their feet with a committee and then hearings and then finally a vote. She has been pre vetted. Trump got her in her FIRST Judge job, Seventh Circuit, in 10/17. The committee is already famliar with her. It should move to a vote NOW and have a straight up or down vote – thanks to Harry Reid. Maybe it’s just me but isn’t it odd how key Trump people are getting the virus. I have no doubt anyone around Trump is tested every day. Kelly Ann Conway, Trump’s campaign manager, Bill Stepien , Hope Hicks and Mike Lee our foreign VISA cheer leader all tested positive. I wonder if the virus is suddenly partisan. Some claim it’s racist and only poor people get it… It’s just odd how key Trump people close to Trump are coming down with it.

Speaking of VISAs, GOPe Mike Lee would do anything for his donors, are still pushing DHS to relax their stand on foreign VISAs as many legal U.S.citizens are unemployed due to DEMS not opening up their states etc… I put nothing past Trump opponents especially Mike Lee. There was also a good article on how FOREIGN WORKERS boosted our GDP!

Officials:
H-1B Reforms on Fast Track to Donald Trump’s Desk

By Neil Munro
10/2/20

President Donald Trump’s regulations to protect Americans from Congress’s huge H-1B job-outsourcing program are flying through the regulatory process, a top official told Breitbart News.
“They want to show that they are keeping their 2016 promise,” Lynn added. “Trump should go to Philadelphia and hold a rally in front of the Vanguard Group’s building and let the 1,300 workers who are being outsourced to an Indian [H-1B] firm know that this is not going to happen anymore.”

The American Workers Coalition also applauded the promised changes:

AmWorkCo is thrilled that the DHS H-1B reform will hopefully include a tighter definition for a specialty occupation and a significantly tighter definition for what constitutes an “employer” so that the shadow employment practices [H-1b gig-workers] can be curtailed and American citizens can once again get high-paying professions.

The regulations have been bitterly opposed by Fortune 500 companies. Those companies use the outsourcing program to cut their labor costs and to minimize the clout of American professionals in their firms and technologies.

Many American professionals are being pushed out of jobs by the many CEOs who prefer to hire from the population of at least 600,000 resident H-1B workers, and the annual inflow of 100,000 new H-1Bs. “The productive class of this country has never been more job-insecure — they know what is threatening them,” said Lynn.

The pending H-1B regulations are intended to narrow the category of jobs that can be outsourced to the H-1B workers, drive up the wages that American graduates can get starter jobs, and shrink the widespread leasing of H-1B for gig-worker subcontracts offered by the Fortune 500 companies.

“The H-1B Interim Final Rule that we have coming out very soon will help protect American workers by cutting out a lot of the bottom floor of the H-1B -universe — the data-entry jobs — they’re just not going to cut it,” an official said, adding:

That rule enhances the definition of specialty occupation, it heightens the definition of employer-employee relationship, and one really key provision is for third-party worksites [where] we’re limiting the validity period of the [work permit]. This rule when it goes into effect will try as best as any regulatory schemes can do to cut out that shadow employer-outsourcing model that has perpetuated in H-1B for the last couple of decades.

The [H-1B] statute only requires that the maximum [visa] validity period be three years. And so for very long, the agency practice was to this rubber stamp for years. As you know, by policy, USCIS intended to cut that down and we’re very successful in 2017 and 2018, then ITServe came and interfered with that. So we are fixing that via the reg.

(It would also end the VISA lottery practice. They were really sneaky with how they were going about replacing legal American citizens with foreign VISAS.

It started under the Clinton’s. A growing number of visa workers have been imported since 1990 to take the jobs needed by U.S. graduates, via the various H-1B, L-1, J-1, and other worker pipelines.)

More good details here –

Everyone else should “isolate” for 14 days …. but Trump will have to “isolate” for an “unknown period of time”?

Really?????
The TRUTH is that Covid in no different than any other Covid, or Rino virus. One group generally has worse symptoms – the rest little to no symptoms.
Part of the reason that there is no “anti-body” test readily available is that if more were tested for anti-bodies, people would realize just how many have had the virus with no symptoms at all.
According to CDC a great many “Covid deaths” were NOT “covid” after all.
According to CDC, wearing a mask has ABSOLUTELY NO EFFECT ON THE RATE OF TRANSMISSION OF THE COVID VIRUS.
Many of these “masks” actually concentrate CO2 in your breath causing a drop in the partial pressure oxygen that you inhale – it does not take much of a reduction in the partial pressure O2 to start killing you brain cells – good thing, though, if you are dumb enough to fall for the lies about Covid, you don’t have that many brains cells at risk anyway.

Only a lttle over 9,000 died of straight COVID19 deaths nationwide. The rest had other illnesses that were the primary cause of death. COVID19 is greatly exaggerated except for those who are older and others with compromised health situations. It is very contagious but that’s about it.

I know this is a bit off subject, but I back tracked a bit to find this, and wanted to post this while I thought of it, as I mentioned this and a few other things the other day on another post, and no one really said anything much, but i have been sounding some alarms about a few things, and this has been one of them. Ran into this just the other day, and though I would share it here, as I thought it was rather alarming, and tied in with what I have been trying to tell people with the financial reset that is heading our way I believe pretty quickly. People might not want to believe it, but not believing in a thing does not mean it does not exist. Or will not happen, for that matter. These people are determined to do this, and if the U.K. does this, in order to do any trade with them, we will have to do something like this as well.

Is there some wishful thinking going on at the NYT?

I see the Lord having allowed covid’s visit to the POTUS as about the only way that even the Lord can slow him down. So He is just seeing to it that Trump gets some needed rest so he’ll be well rested for his next four years.

Now if it was Biden who had covid, I’d be looking at condolence card to send his family.

Big difference who one serves and who Biden serves has a reputation for only taking people down, down, down.

Love and prayers POTUS, and do get that needed rest as He wants you too. You still have an uphill battle for four more years so rest while you can! …

To not have him as our President would be horrifying. We will savor the time

Well you know I get frustrated to the point I get angry at the POTUS. I like him at times and dislike him at others, like we do with family. : ) But I usually understand him. Like him saying one thing and then doing another. He says what he is thinking at that moment but he sometimes gives it more thought and changes his mind. Some (leftist) call that lying but it’s just a change of heart and it was never meant as a lie.
Are you ever right! It would be worse than horrifying if a democrat was in the Oval Office. If, when he is gone, then we will lose this country (even at it’s worst) as we have known it.
Trump is always just himself and that should be more respected than those that pretend to be on ones side while working for the other,
Hope your coming week will be a good and blessed one…
