Rep. Paul Gosar calls for defunding NPR over lack of Hunter Biden laptop coverage

Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., called for defunding National Public Radio after the outlet said it would not cover the Hunter Biden laptop story because it was a waste of time.

“It’s time to defund @NPR. This is appalling. #DefundNPR,” Gosar wrote on Twitter, joining a chorus of voices calling for the radio to lose its public funding.

NPR SLAMMED FOR DISMISSING HUNTER BIDEN LAPTOP COVERAGE AS A WASTE OF TIMENPR public editor Kelly McBride published an inquiry on the radio’s website on Thursday from a listener who didn’t understand why the story has been ignored.
“Someone please explain why NPR has apparently not reported on the Joe Biden, Hunter Biden story in the last week or so that Joe did know about Hunter’s business connections in Europe that Joe had previously denied having knowledge?” listener Carolyn Abbott asked.
McBride said there are “many, many red flags” with the story, then suggested Russia might be at hand in the story.
RATCLIFFE SAYS HUNTER BIDEN LAPTOP, EMAILS ‘NOT PART OF SOME RUSSIAN DISINFORMATION CAMPAIGN’“Intelligence officials warn that Russia has been working overtime to keep the story of Hunter Biden in the spotlight,” NPR continued. “Even if Russia can’t be positively connected to this information, the story of how Trump associates Steve Bannon and Rudy Giuliani came into a copy of this computer hard drive has not been verified and seems suspect.”
Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe on Monday said that Hunter Biden’s laptop “is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign.”
Senate Republicans are investigating Hunter Biden’s emails which reveal that he allegedly introduced his father, the former vice president, to a top executive at Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings in 2015, among other allegations.

Yeah, I didn’t know they were Obama’s cages. The way the media protrayed them when they were attacking Trump, they looked more like POW cages in Hanoi. I guess the press can do alot with a zoom lens on a movie camera when they’re going for effect.

The D’s would not tolerate discrimination if it was, say, a racial issue, but they do tolerate discrimination on the press, and religion, etc. I cold go on, but you get the idea.
We should not be funding discrimination. Period.

I work with a lot of liberals and it never ceases to amaze me how hard they try to twist reality to meet their world view.
They would view this tweet as “factual.” “There’s nothing to see here, because if there WAS something to see here then my whole political-life would be based on lies and I cannot accept that, so…”
Even though there is OBVIOUSLY reason to defund NPR here, “there’s nothing to see here.”
Communism cannot stand on logic. It can only stand on circular logic, which means “no logic at all…” See?

terence samuels is a black democrat who came to npr from the washington compost pile. he is a democrat operative, he hates trump, and he apparently hates the white president because he is white. and yet my taxes pay his salary so he can broadcast democrat propaganda and suppress the truth. this guy had no problem running the “russia” hoax for years without any evidence, but when confronted with a dumptruck load of facts that the bidens and the muslim are the most corrupt and traitorous animals to ever occupy the white, he just doesn’t see any need to give it any air time. this is why i’ve had it with dems. they can all go stuff themselves, and i’ll be the first volunteer to load them all onto boxcars at the point of my bayonet to send them off the camps that trump is going to build for them next year.

NPR is under the Ford Foundation umbrella along with other fair and balanced organizations like the ACLU who represents illegal aliens and MALDEF who represents illegal aliens and the former CEO Luis Ubinez, an ex consultant from McKinsey and Company who was brought in to pursue amnesty for illegal aliens. For an American charitable foundation, they sure help a lot of illegal aliens.

I don’t think that this is recent or that it represents radicalization, which implies that it is a new or recent phenomenon. This has gone on since its inception – and unfortunately, as usual, the RINOS have totally failed to raise the issue before it got to this point.

NPR has been atrocious, not for decades, but for generations!
occasionally the mask slips, as it does here – and the arrogance and resentment at the heart of the “progressive” Left is revealed.
Remember NPR doyenne Nina Totenberg’s infamous comment: “I think (the late Senator Jesse Helms) he ought to be worried about what’s going on in the good Lord’s mind, because if there’s retributive justice, he’ll get AIDS from a transfusion or one of his grandchildren will.”
But nothing will come of this – nothing ever does.
Republicans have been trying to strip government subsidies from public broadcasting almost since the inception of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in 1967. Both Nixon and Reagan tried it.
NPR is here to stay – on your dime.

Defund NPR. Boycot MSM. This is the largest corruption scheme in US history and all Americans need to know the extent of how we are being sold out so Joe and his family can be wealthy. These are acts of treason. Treason is punishable by death in war time and we are at war with China. Why all of a sudden? NPR has been nothing but a propaganda machine for DECADES for communist / fascist / socialist / third-world dictator / united nations haters of the United States of America. They do nothing but read democrat party and united nations talking points all day long. It couldn’t be any more leftist it was run by the old Pravda news media.
All funding must be stopped to NPR immediately. And, further and more importantly, NPR must be investigated and charged for election interference and for failing to report their donations to the democrat party.

Do not defund them. Reorganize them so that they become the official definitive voice of the Administration and articulator of its policy and procedures that can be used to quote the horse’s mouth directly and to not rely on medias as a hearsay source. This is needed as nothing we are told by the msm can be trusted. Also, establish clear criteria to hold the media reporting up to before giving them press credentials. I think the msm should be largely delegitimized. NPR would then ensure the President could rely on his Administration being able to report to the American people fully and truthfully without msm intervention or abiding by the limitations of Twitter.
