The Democrats have weaponized the lockdowns, and they continue to wield them to wipe out whole businesses, communities and families — just to hurt Trump.
Their tech giant stooges have censored any science or news items that are critical of lockdowns.
Who would vote for such evil?

For months we have been meticulously documenting the horror of lockdowns. They are destructive — and in no way helpful to stopping the Chinese flu.

“The only time we believe a lockdown is justified is to buy you time to reorganize, regroup, rebalance your resources, protect your health workers who are exhausted, but by and large, we’d rather not do it.”

The World Health Organization has warned leaders against relying on COVID-19 lockdowns to tackle outbreaks — after previously saying countries should be careful how quickly they reopen.
WHO envoy Dr. David Nabarro said such restrictive measures should only be treated as a last resort, the British magazine the Spectator reported in a video interview.
“We in the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns as the primary means of control of this virus,” Nabarro said.
“The only time we believe a lockdown is justified is to buy you time to reorganize, regroup, rebalance your resources, protect your health workers who are exhausted, but by and large, we’d rather not do it.”
Nabarro said tight restrictions cause significant harm, particularly on the global economy.
“Lockdowns just have one consequence that you must never, ever belittle, and that is making poor people an awful lot poorer,” he said.
He added that lockdowns have severely impacted countries that rely on tourism.
“Just look at what’s happened to the tourism industry in the Caribbean, for example, or in the Pacific because people aren’t taking their holidays,” Nabarro told the outlet.
“Look what’s happened to smallholder farmers all over the world. Look what’s happening to poverty levels. It seems that we may well have a doubling of world poverty by next year. We may well have at least a doubling of child malnutrition.”
The UN agency previously warned countries against lifting lockdowns too soon during the first wave of the virus.
“The last thing any country needs is to open schools and businesses, only to be forced to close them again because of a resurgence,” said Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
But Tedros had urged countries to bolster other measures, including widespread testing and contact tracing, so they could safely reopen and avoid future lockdowns.
“We need to reach a sustainable situation where we have adequate control of this virus without shutting down our lives entirely, or lurching from lockdown to lockdown — which has a hugely detrimental impact on societies,” he said.

IMO the only reason he has flip flopped is because lockdowns are doing irreparable POVERTY damage globally with third world countries. The idea is to have the west bail them out and the damage being done is his worst nightmare and the west is not doing so well either… except for our country. The U.S. is supposed to be the global cash cow. It Trump gets in for a second term, you can’t count on the U.S. bailing them out with his America First agenda.

Exactly. It’s like the World Food Program issues. Do we rescue shhthole countries that wrecked themselves, and caused famines, or massive epidemics? Or do we let them twist in the wind, because that may be best pathway to revolution and liberation from tyranny?
Socialists want to rescue everybody, and protect them from the negative consequences that they brought upon themselves.
But Jesus wanted to help the deserving, and not help the self-destroyers, until they can be induced to change.

mtman: Yes, and the poor are NOT just ‘helpless victims of capitalism’. This is well documented. Research shows that the USA poor are mainly sick and/or crazy. Of course they are, everyone else can get a job. And even the ancient Israelites had that problem. If they got too crazy, irreligious, and conflict-ridden, they had famines or invasions. The Prophets were mainly just telling people to stop being selfish rotten stupid crazy jerks.
SO the cure for world poverty is well-known, build a democratic free-enterprise constitutional republic. Poverty is low there, because economic liberties are high. And the sickest and craziest can get help, but only if they cooperate and help themselves too. Just money is no solution by itself. About 70% of all money collected by pan-handlers goes to drugs and alcohol.

cash: Thanks for this, it’s VERY important. And notice that generally, doctors do get better at treating stuff over time. The science is one thing, but there is also just plan old know-how, that comes from doing the work, and sharing ideas in the cafeteria. Plus, there is a long list of meds that are now known to work on Covid-19. That regeneron serum immunity treatment that Trump was on looks great ! It confers some immunity, even after the Covid-19 is gone, and that means it works like a vaccine. People who have never had Covid-19 could take the regeneron, and be somewhat immune from ever getting Covid-19.
SO as treatment improves, mortality will decline, and the infection mortality rate will decline too. That 0.14% rate is one or two people out of a thousand who die. And that’s terrible, but it’s pretty normal. Notice also that flu mortality seems to have dropped a lot during this epidemic. So the ‘background rate’ of flu-like illnesses has dropped for some reason.

My main concerns are 1.the extra-constitutional governance we are under and 2. the blind following of UN orders by our ENTIRE MEDICAL SYSTEM. Academic curriculum and selection criteria for medical school altered dramatically 20 years ago, circa 2000. Curriculum was changed from one where the student was required to integrate knowledge to one where the information was spoon fed for regurgitation. (The precursor to this began 20 years earlier, circa 1980s, when we were asked to re-write all hospital lab procedures so that “a person on the street” could come in and follow them.) This model necessitated a change in the selection pool to students who would follow a cookbook of sorts with rewards for following instructions. Residency was also altered to a shift and team approach, blurring chain of command and responsibility. It took exactly 1 day for the shift mentality to kick in, with one of my residents was called to the ER, then checking his watch, saying, “I’m off in 30 minutes; let them wait for the next shift.” During this year’s event no one was listening to the former individuals, not the medical community and not the politicians. I mean our entire medical system was shut down with a word. Anyway, you already know all this. We are growing old fighting this battle, loosing friends, yet remain unable to stop trying. I am just tired. This is how I know God loves me; today I will sew.

At least they finally admitted their mistake and did the right thing. Some politicians will stick to their original plan no matter how disastrous it was. Heaven forbid that they would actually swallow their pride and do what is right.
