Senator Mazie Hirono just asked Judge Amy Coney Barrett, a devout practicing Catholic and mother of seven if she has ever sexually assaulted anyone.

Democratic Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono asked Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett Tuesday if she had ever committed sexual assault.
“Since you became a legal adult, have you ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors or committed any verbal or physical harassment or assault of a sexual nature?”
“No, Sen. Hirono,” Barrett responded.
“Have you ever faced discipline or entered into a settlement related to this kind of conduct,” Hirono asked, to which Barrett responded, “No, senator.”

Hirono announced in January 2018 that she would ask all Supreme Court nominees this question in efforts to root out sexual misconduct.
“Starting today, I’m asking nominees to our courts, under oath, whether or not they have a history of sexual assault or harassment,” Hirono said on Twitter Jan. 10, 2018. “Like in other industries, our judges are in positions of power & #TimesUp.”

President Donald Trump’s nominee for the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals Kurt Engelhardt was the first judge that Hirono posed the question to, according to The Cut.
“Since you became a legal adult, have you ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors or committed any verbal or physical harassment or assault of a sexual nature?” she asked Engelhardt, the publication reported. “Have you ever faced discipline or entered into a settlement related to this kind of conduct?”

Dems realize they probably are going to lose with respect to this SCOTUS nominee. They are making a political spectacle out of judicial appointment to the highest court in the land, demonstrating their great their respect for SCOTUS.
America is in deep trouble if the following events occur:
1) Biden wins, the presidency;
2) Washingon DC and Puerto Rico, virtual permanent Democrat bastions, are admitted to the union as states, as that will almost give them a lock on the presidency, the Senate, and the House;
3) Democrats pack the court.
Ah, but I needn’t worry about all three of those things happening. After all, Joe said a couple of years ago that we shouldn’t increase the number of justices on SCOTUS. I can bank on that, right?

I remember Ms. Crazy Hirono, regarding her insulting and offensive comments during the Kavanaugh Confirmation, and remarks made over the fake Impeachment Hearings. In light of what she revealed on first day of Ms. Barrett’s Confirmation Hearing, I think her illness of recent years may have affected her brain. (The Pelosi-effect?) Or maybe she has always been an odious Democrat.

I applaud him for asking it because the commitment to ask EVERY nominee sends a message that Kavanaugh-style “boofing” and Thomas-style “pubic hair on Coke cans” will no longer be tolerated. It’s a step in the right direction toward ostracizinig and delegitimizing the toxic masculine culture of sexual harrassment and sexual assault which certain privileged males seem to think is their Divine right. And the act of denying that such questions should be asked, is part and parcel with efforts to continue to deny that any such incidents happen or that any such culture among preppie males even exists, which helps keep it swept under the rug so it CAN continue to exist, in shameful secret nooks. If Ms. Barrett were conscious and concerned about these risks to many, many other women working with powerful men, she would not take any offense at all to being asked — and neither should her supporters. Unless, of course, they, too, are complicit in continuing the secret reign of rape culture in high places.
