He’ll be the first secretary of state to speak at a convention in modern times.

Pompeo will be the first sitting Secretary of State to deliver a speech to a party’s political convention in modern times, although he is not the first to play a public role.
Story continues below advertisement“As secretary of state, I am obliged not to participate in any way, shape, fashion, or form in parochial, political debates. I have to take no sides in the matter,” Colin Powell said in 2004, skipping the Republican National Convention while serving under George W. Bush. Powell, a Republican, endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden in this year’s election.

“From CIA officers, military contractors, and sources within US Special Forces, I have learned of the existence of at least 50 briefing documents that warned of Iranian intelligence operations in Benghazi. Some specifically predicted an Iranian attack on US diplomats and US facilities. Those documents have remained inaccessible, including to the Select Committee on Benghazi chaired by former US Representative Trey Gowdy.”

If I can even see it
In Canada I pay extra each month to have Fox News channel
Last night I was so pissed at Fox
I refuse to watch it on other channels due to their extreme bias and lies
However, the news pundits on Fox kept cutting off speakers
Interfering and giving their opinions and synopsis
Give me the actual real time speeches
UN interrupted, not cut short
And save your analysis for tomorrow
So upsetting not to hear it in full
Only Selected highlights
As if Tucker Sean Laura Are more relevant than the actual real time convention
How bizarre
