Vandal burns Montana family’s Trump flags as children sleep yards away: ‘Could have easily burned my house down’

By Andrew Mark Miller, Washington Examiner | August 29, 2020:

A Montana family say a vandal nearly set their home on fire when he burned two large Trump flags on the front lawn while children slept inside.

“I felt violated,” said Julia O’Rourke after a man, who can be seen on surveillance video, tore down two Trump flags on her front lawn and set them on fire while her four children slept inside a stone’s throw away. “I felt that my kids’ and my life and my husband’s life were in danger. It could have easily burned my house down. There was a fire ban, and as close as it was to the house, it was very eerie.”

“It was only about 20 feet from our front porch,” O’Rourke continued. “None of us knew! We woke up to a charred pile of flag in our yard and had no idea.”

The story was noticed by the Montana Republican Party, which posted a video of a news report from KBZK 7 News expressing shock that an incident such as this could take place in Montana.

“This Montana family had their #Trump2020 flags burned in their yard as their children slept,” the post stated. “The liberal mob isn’t just in cities across the country, it’s right here in Montana and it’s threatening the safety of freedom-loving Montanans.”

Police cited a man identified as Eric Herrera with criminal mischief as a result of the incident.

You don’t need a castle doctrine to protect yourself from criminals. Montana does have one though:

45-3-102. Use of force in defense of person. A person is justified in the use of force or threat to use force against another when and to the extent that the person reasonably believes that the conduct is necessary for self-defense or the defense of another against the other person’s imminent use of unlawful force. However, the person is justified in the use of force likely to cause death or serious bodily harm only if the person reasonably believes that the force is necessary to prevent imminent death or serious bodily harm to the person or another or to prevent the commission of a forcible felony.
And they protect the person against law suits like here in AZ. Criminals can’t sue for being an ignorant criminal.

27-1-722. Civil damages immunity for injury caused by legal use of force. (1) A use of force allowable under the provisions of Title 45, chapter 3, part 1, provides immunity to the person using the force from civil damages for injury to any person or property arising from injury to the person, or damage to the property of the person, against whom the force was used.
(2) Conviction of a crime committed by the person who was injured or whose property was damaged by the use of force is not a prerequisite to a defense under subsection (1), but it is evidence that the act or omission to which the use of force was a response occurred.
(3) The reasonableness of the use of force must be determined in light of the circumstances at the time that the force was used.
(4) The prevailing party in an action in which a defense is asserted under this section is entitled to costs and reasonable attorney fees.

Unfortunately this can happen in Montana. Bozeman. Montana State University. Brainwashing leftist professors. Need more be said?

Missoula. University of Montana. Brainwashing leftist professors. Ditto.

Try Glendive, Miles City, Baker, Sidney of Wolf Point. Cowboys. Wheat farmers. Oil patch roughnecks. The burners get burned.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Says Military Will Play No Role in Presidential Votecomment image
“The U.S. armed forces will have no role in carrying out the election process or resolving a disputed vote, the top U.S. military officer has told Congress.” – General Mark Milley

Sorry buddy, but you don’t make that decision, the Commander in Chief does, and that’s Trump. The Insurrection Act of 1807 empowers the President to put down insurrections and lawlessness by use of the regular military, if necessary.

Therefore, if the President and his advisers deem that problems of insurrection and lawlessness are a risk for the peaceful and lawful execution of the November elections, anywhere in the USA, then the President may require and order the National Guard and regular military to assume responsibility to maintain the local peace, laws, and order to ensure the execution of free and far elections.

If rioters, anarchists, or communists threaten the free and fair electoral process, then they may be restrained by any appropriate federal forces, including the military. And Milley has to shut up, or he will look the fool when the President countermands his orders.

MOST military men and women are voting for Trump BECAUSE Trump supports THEM 200%.

THINK ABOUT THAT, DEMOCRATS.

Time for GOOD AMERICANS TO STEP UP AND BE VIGILANT.

Exactly, and the military are not likely to stand by happily while anarchists and BLM wreck the voting process. Milley may try to restrict them to barracks, but Trump will just fire Milley. The military don’t need to do anything nasty, they just have to ensure free and fair elections. The National Guard restored the peace in Minneapolis, and they can do it elsewhere if necessary.

Trump can fire Milley, just like Truman fired MacArthur (and MacArthur was a helluva lot more popular than Milley ever will be).

The terrorist act of trespassing and lighting fires in the front yard of a home while occupants were asleep inside the home at a time due to high fire risk, burning was forbidden has got to have more severe consequences than what has been told. Really? “Criminal Mischief” . Does not sound appropriate for the crime. Trespassing, damaging property and assault with deadly weapon seems more fitting for the crime committed. A good long sentence without parole would give the perp time to think about his actions and how close he came to taking innocent people’s lives- including the lives of children.
