This endorsement alone should be enough to stop mass mail-in ballots. The USPS (and the unions who represent the postal workers) are hostile to President Trump. They believe that their survival depends on Trump being defeated. So are we are supposed to believe that certain members of the USPS will not commit fraud to take down Trump? This is crazy. Mass mail-in ballots must not be allowed under any circumstances. It guarantees that the Democrats will cheat.

Postal carriers union endorses Biden, warns that ‘survival’ of USPS is at stake

WASHINGTON — Joe Biden gained the presidential endorsement of the National Association of Letter Carriers on Friday, a union that boasts nearly 300,000 active and retired postal workers.
“Vice President Biden is — was — and will continue to be — a fierce ally and defender of the United States Postal Service (USPS), letter carriers, and our fellow postal brothers and sisters,” NALC president Fredric Rolando said in a statement that also praised Democratic vice presidential pick Kamala Harris.
“Together, Biden and Harris fully exhibit the experience, dedication, thoughtfulness and steady hands that will work to ensure that letter carriers and working families are put first,” he said.
The endorsement comes less than three months before Election Day and a day after President Donald Trump said he opposes Postal Service funding pushed by Democrats, noting that those resources were necessary to advance the cause of mail-in voting during the coronavirus pandemic.
“This pandemic threatens the very survival of USPS,” Rolando said. “Yet, while postal employees are on the front lines providing essential services to the public every day, the current administration refuses to provide the necessary financial relief that would strengthen the agency during this pandemic.”
Congressional Democrats, backed by Biden, have sought $3.6 billion to help equip states for an expected surge of mail-in votes, as well as $25 billion to shore up the Postal Service. Trump opposes it.
“Now they need that money in order to have the Post Office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots. Now, in the meantime, they aren’t getting there. By the way, those are just two items,” Trump said on Fox Business Network. “But if they don’t get those two items, that means you can’t have universal mail-in voting, because they’re not equipped to have it.”
The president has raised alarms that mass mail-in voting could lead to fraud. Experts say voter fraud is extremely rare and has no connection to increased voting by mail.
Democrats have accused Trump of sabotaging the Postal Service to try to steal the 2020 election. “Pure Trump,” Biden said Thursday. “He doesn’t want an election.”
The recently appointed Postmaster General, Louis DeJoy, is a major donor and ally of the president. He is leading a cost-cutting effort and reorganization of the institution that has been blamed for delays in mail delivery.
Rolando said the postal worker union’s decision to endorse Biden is “partly informed by what we have seen from the current administration with regards to the Postal Service.”
“In 2018, legislative recommendations from the White House Postal Task Force report called for the revocation of collective bargaining rights by America’s postal unions, massive cuts to services and the potential privatization of the agency,” he said. “Since that time, we have continued to see the administration take steps outside of the public eye to undermine the Postal Service and letter carriers.

Supposedly, the whole point of mass vote-by-mail is to eliminate the “Covid risk” associated with voting at a polling station.
Even assuming that was true, why involve the PO in delivering the vote to the polling station? Instead, simply place a drop-off lock box at every polling station where voters can deposit their completed ballots. This process combines the convenience of a ballot mailed to your house with the certainty of hand delivering the completed ballot to the polling station, all without human interaction at the polling station. We can call it Curbside Voting.
So it begs the question, why haven’t the Democrats promoted this hybrid voting process? It’s because the only reason they support mass vote-by-mail is they believe it will improve “turnout” with the demographic groups they are the most dependent upon to win: Blacks, Hispanics and Young Voters. Historically, these groups have lower turnouts than Whites over 40. Without a better than average turnout from these three groups, Trump probably wins.

Well now we have it, partisan politics by the Post Office. Would this be a violation of the Logan Act? No matter as Ms Geller mentions, it sets up the question how reliable will they be to deliver ballots from districts favoring President Trump as well as toss up districts? No they’ve disqualified themselves not to mention theat the system was wrought with too many flaws to begin with in review. If the post office is worried about beling eliminated here is some advice. Run the Post-Office as a Competitive Business ready to engage all like businesses in the Industry with a winning strategy to overcome their competitors. This is the real world. Awhile back they became a quasi–government Agency that had to earn their own way to survive. The fundamentals changed. They cannot count of the government to bail them out so they need to come up with both short term and long term approaches that will earn them a profit. If it means a reduction in force thatn that’s what will have to be done. If more automation is order then they’ll have to do that and they need to be proactive. This is how it is in the business world. The loss of the Post Office would be a big deal and Ben Franklin was one of the Founders of it and explained why it was necessary for the country to have one. It’s up to you Managing Executives at the Post Office, Don’t pass the buck.

They don’t want more automation. That would mean less people. In fact for job security reasons they make sure people have lines to wait in whenever possible so justify hiring MORE people. A postal worker confided that to a relative of ours that works for a post office in CA.
I wouldn’t say our postal carrier is representative of all post offices but he has complained about how tense and fascist working there has become and it wasn’t that way in the past. Only Democrats and being anti Trump is acceptable or you pay a price for stating something different such as if they can’t fire you, your route could change to be a dangerous ghetto area.
Our carrier confirmed they are being told that Trump, in his second term, will eliminate their jobs and privatize the post office so they have no choice but to vote for Biden and do what they can to have others vote for Biden.
I can only imagine how far some may take influencing others to vote for Biden. I wouldn’t exclude mail in ballots being immune from making sure Biden wins.
They are over paid, under worked and you pay for all it and a great pension – so why risk that with a Trump win? It’s crazy but truth doesn’t matter. Truth has been replaced with what you believe, even if it is not truth and proven to be wrong. It doesn’t matter. It’s the same as BELIEVING you are the opposite sex when you can SEE you aren’t the opposite sex. Belief over truth!

Oregon has had voting by mail for decades. I take my ballot directly to the County Clerk’s office where there is a drop box for ballots, rather than trusting the USPS!

As I see it an endorsement from the USPS is a ticket for people NOT to vote for you.
When we think of rude government employees and bad experiences the first thing that usually comes up in the minds of most people is the USPS. I cannot think of a more horrible group of employees who treat their customers with disdain as the Post Office. Ever have a problem? How do you even get to talk to them?
Ever pay to send a document certified mail and then the letter gets lost?
Ever have a postal employee open your mail? I have. Why? Because he thought I was dong something illegal.
Ever had a package tossed into the roadway in front of your mailbox where cars could roll over it? I have.
Ever witness a delivery person leave a message that a package could not be delivered because no one was home?
Ever go into the PO with one clerk and a line wrapped around the block?
I could go on and on but I suspect that I am not the only person who has had these experiences – and this is only the tip of the iceberg.

Well luckily I have not had to deal directly with them for some time so they did not come to mind.
But they are totally incompetent and like the PO you cannot get an answer to a question or an intelligent comment from them in response to their questions posed to you.
My IRS nightmare:
I did not change my name when I got married. We filed joint returns but I realized after 20 years that IRS had credited my SS taxes to my husband’s account. So in spite of working and paying FICA for 20 years they had me listed as paying ZERO in FICA tax. It took about 2 years to clear this up and for them to recognize me as a taxpayer for all those years but most of the work after my first year of frustration with them was done by my accountant.

Try talking to a student loan official or a Parent’s Plus loan…..first, you can’t get them on the phone, and when you do they refuse to even help you and tell you you’re going to pay the way they say….and after you talk to them you get a mailing from another state office that has it wrong…..it’s a nightmare.
I finally gave up. They wouldn’t let my pay the way I could….so they aren’t getting paid….the interest is now higher than the original loan….and then when I die they will just have to eat it.

Yeah it has always been my belief that the CIA probably received numerous calls and tip offs before 9/11 but the people answering the phones were too stupid or disinterested to take any of it seriously.

Ever work at the Post Office?
I worked there during Christmas season when I was in college. I batched and sorted mail. Was was very striking is that for every 4 or 6 employees who were actually doing something, like batching and sorting, there was one employee walking around doing nothing but telling those who were working to work faster. Why couldn’t the supervisors work while supervising? They were like the overseers of the Chain Gang in Cool Hand Luke.
