Portland Protests Grow More Violent as Feds Step Back

From the story: New violence over the weekend seems to undercut city and state leaders’ claims that it was the presence of the feds that had sparked the violence. Portland police also reported Sunday morning that they’re seeing demonstrators cloaking themselves as journalists to engage in the violence — a tactic the federal officers also faced, and one that complicates questions about press freedom and the ability to control the crowds (Washington Times). A man was filmed burning Bibles in front of the federal courthouse in Portland (Washington Examiner). Meanwhile, the Portland mayor, who has been excusing the violence, is drafting plans to revitalize downtown business. But business owners fear it will likely be too little too late (MSN).

Rubber bullets are now made of plastic, which have been found to be safer that the old rubber “baton rounds” have little to no accuracy. They’re good only at “stone throw” distances. Similar to the bean bag rounds, fired from a 12 gauge.

I actually thought that the newer versions were more accurate..was told as much..but I defer to you as I have not handled nor fired one. How about they use tranquilizer dart weapons loaded with whatever chemical suits them? I saw one Antifa woman being interviewed who had been arrested. She had a nail embedded 2×4 with which she was beating a horse while a police officer sat atop the steed during a riot. She said it was her duty to do that. She was a school teacher but after she was on Tucker’s show she got fired.

“Color of Law” refers to an appearance of legal power to act that may operate in violation of law. For example, if a police officer acts with the “color of law” authority to arrest someone, the arrest, if it is made without probable cause, may actually be in violation of law.

The Feds should have NEVER stepped back!!!
