The issue is how Harris’ political rise was fueled by her affair with Willie Brown, the former Assembly speaker and San Francisco mayor, who was married and more than twice Harris’ age when they began showing up in gossip columns in 1994. No one questions that Harris is very smart and highly competent and that she didn’t need Brown to have a successful career. But she didn’t just date Brown. She benefited at taxpayers’ expense from her relationship with a slick politician long “dogged by allegations of corruption and cronyism,” as the San Francisco Chronicle reported in 2004. Here’s what the very liberal San Francisco Weekly reported in 2003 about how Harris’ links to Brown — “a man whom many San Franciscans associate with political chicanery and self-dealing” — haunt her:
Aside from handing her an expensive BMW, Brown appointed her to two patronage positions in state government that paid handsomely — more than $400,000 over five years. In 1994, she took a six-month leave of absence from her Alameda County [deputy DA] job to join the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board. Brown then appointed her to the California Medical Assistance Commission, where she served until 1998, attending two meetings a month for a $99,000 annual salary. (more)

Biden taps Kamala Harris as running mate, setting aside tensions from primary

Kamala Harris, the politically shrewd California senator with a law enforcement background that has caused some tensions with the progressive left, was announced Tuesday as Joe Biden’s running mate.
She makes history as the first Black woman to serve as a major political party’s VP pick. The Biden campaign said Biden and Harris will deliver remarks together on Wednesday in Wilmington, Delaware.
“I’ve decided that Kamala Harris is the best person to help me take this fight to Donald Trump and Mike Pence and then to lead this nation starting in January 2021,” Biden said in an email to supporters.
Biden also tweeted: “I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked @KamalaHarris — a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants — as my running mate.”
He added: “Back when Kamala was Attorney General, she worked closely with Beau. I watched as they took on the big banks, lifted up working people, and protected women and kids from abuse. I was proud then, and I’m proud now to have her as my partner in this campaign.”

The decision, following months of secret meetings and closely held deliberations, would indicate the former vice president is setting aside their friction from the primary campaign. Harris memorably drew sharp contrasts with Biden when she challenged him on the debate stage over his past resistance to federally mandated desegregation busing.

Signaling the campaign’s line of attack against Harris, President Trump responded by tweeting out an attack ad soon after the announcement that called her “phony Kamala Harris.”

The Trump campaign also released a statement from Katrina Pierson, a Trump 2020 senior adviser, that said: “In her failed attempt at running for president, Kamala Harris gleefully embraced the left’s radical manifesto, calling for trillions of dollars in new taxes and backing Bernie Sanders’ government takeover of health care. She is proof that Joe Biden is an empty shell being filled with the extreme agenda of the radicals on the left.”
The now-presumptive Democratic presidential nominee’s selection amounts to a vote of confidence in the senator’s political ability and her background, and a willingness to move past the bad blood. The decision may have been tipped days earlier, when he was photographed with talking points saying of Harris that he does “not hold grudges” and has “great respect for her.”

I would say that she is more like a Haitian witch doctor than an African tribal thug. Haiti was where Africans gave the west a near 200 year old warning about how greedy and incompetent they were but no one noticed or cared. Not a few moved to Jamaica.

Yes, she married an accomplished wealthy white guy. She married Douglass Ernhoff on 8/22/14. Ernhoff is a Jewish lawyer who worked for the high brow, law firm Veneable LLP. in Los Angeles. He currently works as a partner for the entertainment law firm of DLA Piper LLC. Is he for BDS too? She will get the liberal Jewish vote through him.
She seems to fall into the category of, she can’t do it herself so she married $uce$$. John Kerry, McShame and the guy from Texas that ran for President, Beto marred for it instead of working for it. The reason I say that she married for money is because she is a shallow, vicious, devious, manipulato liar and couldn’t make it on merit as someone like Michele Bachmann did. Gigolos come from any walk of life, economic status and not limited to gender.
Prior to marriage, she dated an older black man, old enough to be her father, Willie Brown. He was a politically influential guy in San Francisco, married at the time and he was also former mayor.. She used him to propel her political career and then got dumped.

The great thing about the weak-minded is that they are useful idiots.
If the Trump campaign has half the brains that it should, this should be one of their many legitimate attack-vectors. Kamala “Do Me” Harris is about as anti-MeToo as a person can be. She is, again, a graduate of the Harvey Weinstein School, and she graduated Summa Cum Laude (which can be a pun, but let’s keep it G-Rated).
At least SOME of the weak-minded will hear this message, and not vote for Fingers. Between him being a credibly accused rapist and her being an openly accused sex-for-power type, some of the Bernie “MeToo!” brigade won’t vote for Trump, but they won’t vote for Fingers, either.
And that’s enough. It moves the needle.
The Trump campaign has to hammer on this, along with all of the other things.

What do you think the fee is for this position?
I’m guessing she got Willie to grant her a start with 50 or 100 “events.” That’s a total guess, mind you. Given his reputation at the time, I’m guessing that this was enough for him since there were always other sluts available for him and his “open marriage.”
And, you bet, she’s a slut. This is the definition of that term.
Once you show that trait, you show that trait. It’s not as if you turn it on and off.
So… who has she been doing since Willie? Mind you, I’m sure that she uses other favors, now. When sex is the only thing that you have, it’s what you use… but she has real power, now.

Former San Francisco mayor and California State Assembly speaker Willie Brown threw shade at his ex-girlfriend, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), and the other contenders for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in 2020, writing Saturday that none of them can beat President Donald Trump.
In his weekly column in the San Francisco Chronicle, Brown wrote:
Make no mistake, President Trump’s State of the Union address was the kickoff for his 2020 re-election campaign, and so far I’ve yet to see a Democrat who can beat him.

[T]he overnight polling after the speech showed that once again, he connected with voters, at least enough voters to make him a 2020 favorite.You can’t say the same for the Democratic contenders. They all have impressive credentials, winning personalities and positive messages, but none displays the “people personality” that our media-savvy president has mastered.

Let’s just hope Democrats can figure out that we need to go beyond the left and motivate voters across the board, just as midterm congressional campaigns did under Nancy Pelosi’s leadership..
Brown acknowledged last month that he had dated Harris and given her jobs that helped her early political career.
Harris is running on a slate of left-wing policies, including “Medicare for All” and the so-called “Green New Deal,” which she embraced last week even though it calls for radical socialist measures such as paying Americans who are “unwilling” to work.
She has also said she would be willing to “eliminate” private health insurance, a position supported by only 13% of Americans

Eagleton had to drop out over the revelation of his having been treated with electroshock therapy for depression.
