Goodyear reopens China tire factory

Goodyear’s tire plant in Pulandian, China, has restarted production after temporarily closing down to help curb the dangerous coronavirus outbreak in that nation.
The plant resumed partial production on Monday, Richard Kramer, Goodyear’s chairman and chief executive officer, told industry analysts on Tuesday.
Goodyear is also recommending that associates in China who can work remotely plan to do so and return to the office on Feb. 17 unless otherwise notified.
Goodyear also said it will donate approximately $285,000 to support frontline doctors and nurses stationed in Hubei province and Dalian city hospitals by using its global procurement resources to secure items including masks, gloves, shoe covers, bed sheets and gowns.
Goodyear had previously said the Pulandian factory, plus offices in Shanghai, would remain closed over an extended Chinese New Year holiday through at least Feb. 10. The widespread virus has claimed more than 1,000 lives, almost exclusively on mainland China.

people don’t realize that big business is in bed with the democrats because they know that sooner or later there will be another democrat-run government, and the dems don’t forget who betrays them. all of you out there need to start deciding on every penny you spend whether it goes to company that supports the destruction of america (i.e. the dems), and if so, do without. if goodyear’s sales fell by 20% the next quarter, i guarantee you they would get rid of their “diversity” nazis.

So far on my list, that I can think of, off hand, is Kellogg’s, Papa John’s, NASCAR, uh, a bunch, sorry, it’s early for me to think. But I don’t buy a lot of stuff because of politics, their own fault, too.
Buy Goya stuff, though. They’re all right.

I have avoided Goodyear tires for years. Their ag tires are a disaster and I can’t say much for their others either.

I dont care that they have plant in China. Now if Goodyear tries to import Chinese tires to the US. Then I will buy anything else. Cooper is an American tire and is a very good tire. I do not know if they have a Chines connection or not.

I may need new tires when I have my car inspected next month, but, I`ll never again buy a Goodyear product. Or, for that matter, any foreign made tire, as long as there`s a good quality “Made in America” tire available, other than Goodyear, of course. America First!
