A teen activist in Chicago who rallied to defund police and remove police from schools was shot dead on Friday.
Caleb Reed was found shot in the head.
No suspect has been named in the shooting.

Caleb Reed, a 17-year-old student activist from Mather High School in Chicago, was found shot in the head on Friday.
The teen’s death comes just weeks after he publicly called for the district to remove police from district school
What are the details?
Reed, described by the Chicago Sun-Times as a “student leader with a youth activist group,” was discovered on a sidewalk of the West Rogers Park neighborhood in the city.He had been shot in the head.
The teen, a leader with student group Voices of Youth in Chicago Education, was an advocate of removing police from Chicago schools.
No suspect have been named in Reed’s death at the time of this reporting.

Just weeks ago, Reed spoke at a board of education meeting in support of removing police from the district. During the meeting, he recalled his own experience with officers in his school.
During the meeting, Reed said, “My sophomore year of high school I was arrested for attending a basketball game because I didn’t have my ID. I sat in a police station for six hours. I knew it wasn’t right at all, but inside I was angry, confused.

West Rogers Park is considered the most racially-diverse neighborhood in Chicago.
41.9% white, 24.5% black, 24.1% Hispanic, 6.4% Asian
Compared to the South Side, it’s a low-crime area.
Doesn’t matter. Wherever Blacks are 1/4 or more of the population, violent crime is sure to follow.

People blame black crime on poverty, poor schools, single mothers, and even the police, but never look at one significant underlying problem. As a group, blacks are more violent than other races all around the world. As a practical matter, the issue of black crime is unsolvable.

Look at their home life – no fathers present. A single mom can’t do the job of both parents! There are exceptions but when the hormones are surging with young male teens it’s a real challenge and there is a disconnect between a mom and a male son. They need that authority figure who understands where they are coming from at that age not the latest “uncle” who could care less. It’s an unstable home life.

I would bet there is no father present in his home and being raised by a single mother. Couple that with being taught skin color is the excuse for anything going wrong in his life fuels this. They are being taught to have a chip on their shoulder and blame white people and police. Defunding the police is the worst step they could take but they are so brain washed they aren’t thinking logically.
I am sure there is a reason for him being arrested for not having an ID to attend a game. I’d bet he mouthed off and some other things took place. The ID requirement is to protect students from bad interlopers who may cause trouble there. Surely that was explained to him… when you look at the unleashed violence and sheer destruction going on there, it’s no wonder they would require an ID for a game there.
I don’t see it as something to celebrate when someone is murdered. I think it is sad. It’s too bad someone couldn’t get through to him that he was literally being taught and encouraged to believe lies. We could have used another mindset like Candace Owens. She saw the light!

Gun, ammo sales surging amid coronavirus pandemic, civil unrest according to a new survey by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF). Survey found gun sales are up 95 percent and ammunition sales are up 139 percent compared to the same period last year.

Retailers nationwide reported a record 10.3 million firearm transactions in the first half of 2020, with approximately 92 percent reporting an increase in ammuniation sales and 87 percent reporting an increase in firearm sales, the NSSF survey reveals.
The survey noted that the demographics of customers who purchased guns and ammo consisted of
55.8 percent White males,
16.6 percent White females,
9.3 percent Black males,
5.4 percent Black females,
6.9 percent Hispanic males,
2.2 percent Hispanic females,
3.1 percent Asian males and
0.7 percent Asian females.
“The highest overall firearm sales increase comes from Black men and women who show a 58.2 percent increase in purchases during the first six months of 2020 versus the same period last year,” NSSF Director of Research and Market Development Jim Curcuruto said in a statement.
White men and women had the second largest firearm sales increase at 51.9 percent, followed by Hispanic men and women at 49.4 percent, and Asian men and women at 42.9 percent.
“Bottom line is that there has never been a sustained surge in firearm sales quite like what we are in the midst of,” Curcuto added.
