The protesters are firing mortars and hurling explosives at police.

From where I’m sitting, this situation in both Portland and Seattle looks more and more like an anarchist insurrection against all conservatives and Trump supporters, the law and not much else.
Why ANTIFA is not isolated and all present arrested if found by camera to be involved in violence against property, local civil or federal authority I’m not sure.
Is this to be the future of America, during an election year e.g. the violent takeover by riot, gun and arson one district or city at a time by anarchists ?

Don’t count on it. The D’s only need three seats in the Senate to take it and many R’s are in jeopardy of losing their Senate seat. And if the Presidential race ends up being decided by the USSC like it was between Bush v. Gore you can bet Roberts will not side with Trump. This only adds to the need to retain the Senate so more conservative justices can be appointed. RGB isn’t long for this world and some of the other justices are making noise about retiring.

I do believe that any use of “explosives” etc., is a “federal Offense”..it even applies to “fireworks”, used as weapons or to endanger anyone.
THERE SHOULD BE FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT INVOLVED….whether the democrat mayors, etc like it or not!

The text of this refers to mortars, which would mean, to my experience, that Antifa / BLM has acquired military weapons, with which it is attacking the city. However, I can find no part of the accompanying story which refers to the use of military weapons. This is important because if they have those weapons, The Army can and should go in and neutralize the criminals behind this.. .
