PORTLAND, OR. – In Portland, the likes of riots and protests have been in full swing for several weeks – and now miscreants participating in the antics are upset that they’re getting arrested. Some have even referred to their arrests as being “kidnapped.” (read on at Law Enforcement Today)
Federal law enforcement officers have been taking a firm stance against the proverbial mob that has been present in Portland over the past few weeks, with Homeland Security Director Chad Wolf noting that federal facilities will be protected from the likes of bad actors.
A video that has been making the rounds online has proponents of groups like Antifa proclaiming that police making arrests is somehow “authoritarian” with even Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley clamoring how bad it is that people manage to get arrested during protests:

Portland Antifa and Black Lives Matter launched explosives at the Federal Courthouse and Justice Center while attempting to barricade agents inside on the 50th night of riots in the ultra liberal city.
There was also severe violence against random citizens that they disagree with politically during Friday night’s chaos.
The Portland Police tweeted “Officers have observed people in the area of the Federal Courthouse and Justice Center on SW 3rd Ave place fencing and sandbags in front of doors. This is criminal behavior. Participants not involved in criminal behavior are encouraged to leave the area immediately.”
A street preacher was violently assaulted and carried away by a mob. A witness at the scene said that a gun had been pulled on him. The witness also said that another man was tied to a fence, beat, and then had the fence pushed over on top of him.

The rioters also deployed smoke bombs and lasers, which they use to impede the vision of police officers.
Around 1:30 a.m. local time, the Portland Police Department tweeted that “participants have 5 minutes to remove all barricades around the facility. Failure to follow this direction may subject you to arrest, citation, or use of force including crowd control munitions. Leave the area to the west. SW Columbia to SW Taylor from SW 1st to 6th is closed.”
Shortly after the 5 minutes were up, law enforcement began shooting massive amounts of tear gas into the crowd to disperse them, according to a livestreamer on the scene. They also tore down the barricades set up by the rioters.

Its no longer demonstrators. Its now people who know that the authorities are forbidden from doing much, and that the Dems will prevent and condemn any action against them.
What is now needed is brute force. The police go in, push the crowd back, arrest anyone resisting, and actually put them in jail. Then find a judge willing to treat their actions as the crimes they are and sentence accordingly. Bail? Make that big number.

The elected city officials are fully supportive of the rioting and civil unrest, and call people attempting to restrain it “storm troopers”.
They may be trying to set up the city as an autonomous zone, driving out anyone who disagrees with them.

That’s a really stupid assumption/lie. Police have been told by Mayor and Governor to STAND DOWN. That is the problemin Portland! And when Trump sent in the Guard, the Governor sent them away. It’s definitely being tolerated by those who control the city and state, but NOT the police. And MOST “city officials” do NOT support the filth!

I’d like to see what happens to any of us, did we attack the Police, attack others, and use deadly weapons (frozen soda cans as projectiles, etc.) in broad daylight, OK? Right to the slammer, w/o passing go. But these criminals go scot free, because? Because they’re openly communist, espousing the overthrow of the Gov’t.?

I’m an Oregonian and they haven’t been detained without probable cause. They were caught in the act of looting and arson. What people are complaining about is the arresting officers weren’t wearing uniforms, to give themselves away and put their lives at risk.

I’ll skip to the military part –
The military? Ever since the Army-McCarthy hearings, anyone who suggested that the military was infiltrated by communists was considered to be a — what’s the word? — oh yes, a “McCarthyite”. While it seems safe to say that the Pentagon is not run from Moscow, high ranking military officers are, as a rule, more liberal than most people think. Barack Obama conducted a purge of Army brass when he was president, and replaced them with officers of a more liberal bent. We can assume that many of his appointments are still in place today.
Under Obama, the military became a lifestyle laboratory. A woman was put in charge of Marine basic training; the Pentagon held a gay pride event; the Air Force Academy built a Stonehenge-like worship center to accommodate pagans, druids, witches, and wiccans; and an apparently unvetted transgender soldier was placed in a position where he was able to leak nearly three quarters of a million sensitive military and diplomatic documents.
Some of Obama’s liberal-minded crew seem to have made their way into the Trump administration in its early days. After Lieutenant General Michael Flynn was sidelined, he was replaced as National Security Advisor by General H.R.Mc Master. In appearance, McMaster looked like the second coming of General Patton, but in reality, he was cut from the same ideological cloth as Obama. Once ensconced in the National Security Council, McMaster conducted a purge of his own. He fired at least a half dozen highly accomplished conservatives from top level positions at the NSC, and replaced them with more politically correct types. One of the replacements was Mustafa Javed Ali, a man whose previous position was that of Diversity Outreach Coordinator for the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Was Javed Ali qualified to assume the position of Senior Director of Counter-Terrorism for the National Security Council? To even ask the question would have been deeply offensive.
In this context, it’s worrisome that in the midst of a nationwide insurrection, a number of current and retired high-ranking officers chose to take a very public stand against President Donald Trump. It’s not that the generals didn’t have a point about the wisdom of Army intervention in domestic affairs, but that their own intervention appears to have been a coordinated and deliberate attempt to undermine the authority of the president during a time of national crisis.

Early on, the George Floyd protests had been hijacked by well-organized neo-Marxist groups such as Antifa and Black Lives Matter. While other protestors were protesting Floyd’s death, these radical elements were protesting the very existence of the American form of government. It’s not clear if all of our military leaders have grasped that distinction.
I’m not suggesting that the military has been co-opted by the left. But we shouldn’t assume that they can’t be. At a time when virtue is equated with fighting for social justice, America’s warrior class is under increasing pressure to establish its social warrior credentials. We, therefore, should assume that the military is a prime target of the long marchers of the left. The left is aiming for a coup, and history suggests that the most successful coups are engineered by groups that manage to win the military or elements in the military over to their side.

The Church, by the way, is one of the institutions that the long marchers have targeted for takeover. Judging by the enthusiastic embrace of Black Lives Matter on the part of some Church leaders, the marchers are making progress. But that is a subject for another article.

An official information dispatch from the U.S. Navy has drawn the attention of religious freedom advocates because it clearly directs Navy personnel to avoid “indoor religious services.”
Ignoring President Donald Trump’s declaration that houses of worship are “essential places that provide essential services,” the U.S. Navy has banned all Navy personnel, including chaplains, from attending in-house church services in an effort to limit exposure of those personnel to COVID-19. Ironically, the Naval directive specifically approves other places where large numbers of people gather, including unlimited social gatherings, mass transportation, and long lines at the post office.

"This order from the Navy on sailors and military members not attending indoor religious services is clearly in violation of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution – freedom of religion, freedom of gathering. So, this is clearly unconstitutional and this directive should have never been ordered," Wildmon relays.
Wildmon also called for President Trump to intervene in what he referred to as a “clear violation of the U.S. Constitution.”
“It’s ridiculous to consider the U.S. Navy issuing an order that says gathering for worship is banned, but gathering for a protest is okay,” adds Abraham Hamilton III, general counsel for American Family Association.
“Though President Trump has declared churches are essential, our Navy has threatened to court-martial service members if they agree with the president and attend indoor church services. We have entered upside-down land.”

If a riot squad were to form and read out the riot act then disperse them with gas, rubber bullets and sticks a message would be sent.A lawful protest has to be peaceful and that’s a protected right. What’s going on is rioting.
However, all the time Pelosi is free to make those outrageous slurs against lawful authority when she has sworn to uphold and defend her country and its constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic she’s adding fuel to those fires.

Portland Police made multiple arrests and found a loaded weapon on one subject.
Two more violent anarchists were arrested, and one was found to be carrying what appears to be a pipe bomb.
Violent anarchists assaulted construction crews by targeting them with fireworks while they repaired Hatfield Building.
A joint team had to be deployed to create buffer between violent anarchists and construction crew to protect construction workers.

Violent anarchists deployed a plywood blockade while graffitiing the Edith Green-Wenell Wyatt Federal Building, before firing wrist rockets at the facility.
When an arrest team was deployed to apprehend a rioter who encroached on a police barrier and refused to leave, they were assaulted by violent anarchists.
A rioter trespassed on the steps of the Hatfield Courthouse and was confronted by federal law enforcement Officers, then swallowed a large amount of narcotics. Law enforcement called medical services after the individual started to convulse.
Despite more orders to stay off of federal property and to cease unlawful activity, FPS was forced to push back violent anarchists. The Portland Police Bureau declared the mob an unlawful assembly.

If a riot squad were to form and read out the riot act then disperse them with gas, rubber bullets and sticks a message would be sent.A lawful protest has to be peaceful and that’s a protected right. What’s going on is rioting.

Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wolf condemned the violence of mobs in Portland, Oregon that are destroying property and posing a threat to public safety in a report on the city’s condition posted on the agency’s website on Thursday.
The city of Portland has been under siege for 47 straight days by a violent mob while local political leaders refuse to restore order to protect their city. Each night, lawless anarchists destroy and desecrate property, including the federal courthouse, and attack the brave law enforcement officers protecting it.
A federal courthouse is a symbol of justice – to attack it is to attack America. Instead of addressing violent criminals in their communities, local and state leaders are instead focusing on placing blame on law enforcement and requesting fewer officers in their community.
“This failed response has only emboldened the violent mob as it escalates violence day after day,” Wolf said.
“This siege can end if state and local officials decide to take appropriate action instead of refusing to enforce the law,” Wolf said. “DHS will not abdicate its solemn duty to protect federal facilities and those within them.”
“Again, I reiterate the Department’s offer to assist local and state leaders to bring an end to the violence perpetuated by anarchists,” Wolf said.

Lets see they have been rioting for 50+ days. Trump is not allowed to mobilize N.G. unless the Governor and or Mayor of Portland ask. The DHS is in Portland a the moment to protect Federal Property only. Am I correct so far? Ok, Mayor Ted has lost any and all control of the city from some 2 or 3 years ago. I don’t believe he really ever had it. Now the Chief LEO must be inept, lazy, worried about his pension or being extorted. If he is not can he take action? Topple the Mayor and City Council. Upon their arrest ask for Federal “oversight”, receivership something of the city government? This city government is endangering the citizens of that city. I understand it may be a “quasi” military style take over by local LEO’s. However you immediately turn it back over to civilian leadership that is more responsible. Now with that being said. Most locales in this country have a Sheriff whom is elected by the people. Not so when the sheriff is elected by the people they are the only ones who can “fire” him. Question, with that authority can they and his deputies make a move? If not then we are in a civil war.
