The Democrats have adopted Hitler’s “big lie” strategy. A big lie is a propaganda technique. The expression was coined by Adolf Hitler, when he dictated his 1925 book Mein Kampf, about the use of a lie so “colossal” that no one would believe that someone “could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously.”
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State [the Left] can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State [the left] to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

Beware. The American historian and distinguished university professor of modern European, and in particular modern German history, Jeffrey Herf, maintains that Hitler, Goebbels and the Nazis used the big lie to turn long-standing antisemitism into mass murder.

NY POST: New York Rep. Jerry Nadler is shown in a new online clip calling violence in Portland by Antifa a “myth,” after protests were declared a riot on Sunday morning.
The House Judiciary Committee Chairman was approached by writer-producer Austen Fletcher, who said he asked the Democrat to disavow the rioting in the Oregon city.
“I ran into Jerry Nadler in DC and asked him to disavow the Antifa violence/rioting in Portland. His response? ‘THAT’S A MYTH,’” Fletcher said in a tweet along with the short video.
Before getting into his car, Nadler tells Fletcher that it’s a “myth that’s being spread only in Washington DC.”

The high ranking New York Democrat is being assailed for his comments online. Among the people who blasted Nadler for his comment was Eric Trump.
“This is the Democratic Party in 2020,” President Trump’s youngest son said in a tweet.
Elijah Schaffer, a member of conservative media company Blaze Media, also reacted to the encounter.
“Portland is at war every night, but Rep Jerry Nadler says my video coverage of Antifa violence & vandalism is a ‘myth,’” he wrote. “Antifa is very real, & they are incredibly dangerous.”
Protests in Portland were declared a riot early Sunday as thousands breached a federal courthouse where federal agents are being stationed, according to police.
Throughout the night police fired teargas in violent clashes with protesters who retaliated with fireworks, officials said, with at least 26 arrests.
They declared a riot in the early hours after “thousands” gathered at the federal courthouse and Justice Center and pulled down some of the fence, the Portland Police Bureau said.
“Throughout the night some people in this crowd spent their time shaking the fence around the building, throwing rocks, bottles, and assorted debris over the fence, shining lasers through the fence, firing explosive fireworks into the area blocked by the fence, and using power tools to try to cut through the fence,” the bureau said in a statement. “People wore gas masks, carried shields, hockey sticks, leaf blowers, flags, and umbrellas specifically to thwart police in crowd dispersal or attempt to conceal criminal acts. People against the fence sprayed unknown liquids through it toward the courthouse. People tied rope to the fence and attempted to pull it down,” the bureau said.
“At about 1:03 a.m. people in the crowd attached a chain to the fence and with many people pulling managed to pull a section of it down,” the bureau said, with protesters also lighting fires in the street.
“People climbed over the fence to get close to the federal courthouse. People continued to launch mortar style fireworks at ground level that were exploding near others.”
Nadler was approached by journalist Austen Fletcher and asked if he disavowed the violent riots.
“It is true. There’s violence across the whole country,” Fletcher said. “Do you disavow the violence from Antifa that’s happening in Portland right now? There’s riots—”
“That’s a myth that’s being spread only in Washington, D.C.,” Nadler claimed without evidence.
“About Antifa in Portland?” Fletcher pressed.
“Yes—” Nadler once again claimed without evidence.
A person with Nadler, presumably an aide, rushed in to get Nadler away from the camera and took him to a car nearby.“Sir, there’s videos everywhere online,” Fletcher said as Nadler walked away. “There’s fires and riots, they’re throwing fireworks at federal officers. DHS is there. Look online. It gets crazy, Mr. Nadler.”
Dozens of people have been arrested during the violent riots in Portland, which have been going on for nearly 60 consecutive days.

The Department of Justice said in a statement late last week:
According to court documents, since May 26, 2020, protests in downtown Portland have been followed by nightly criminal activity including assaults on law enforcement officers, destruction of property, looting, arson, and vandalism. The Hatfield Federal Courthouse has been a nightly target of vandalism during evening protests and riots, sustaining extensive damage.
U.S. Marshals Service deputies and officers from the Federal Protective Service, Homeland Security Investigations, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection working to protect the courthouse have been subjected to nightly threats and assaults from demonstrators while performing their duties.
Acting Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Chad Wolf added on Twitter yesterday, “Day 56. Last night six DHS law enforcement officers were injured in Portland. To be clear, criminals assaulted FEDERAL officers on FEDERAL property…and the city of Portland did nothing.”

“It’s time Portland join other responsible cities around the country to hold criminals accountable and protect federal property and officers,” Wolf continued.
