MSM continue to viciously smear Florida Governor DeSantis to bring down Trump in Florida

44

The depraved MSM is viciously smearing Governor Ron DeSantis, one of the country’s greatest governors, for the spike in COVID-19 cases. They are doing this because they know that it will be much harder for President Trump to win Florida if DeSantis’ approval rating goes down. They naturally don’t mention Florida’s very low death rates, especially compared to Democrat states such as New York, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

DeSantis says Florida seeing more COVID-19 spread among younger people: ‘We are prepared for this’

By Fox News, July 7, 2020

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, told “Hannity” Tuesday that the coronavirus fatality rate in his state has remained low despite a surge in the number of confirmed cases because the virus is spreading among younger people who are less at risk of dying.

“The median age of our new cases was in the 50s about a month and a half ago. That has dropped into the 30s,” DeSantis told host Sean Hannity. “We have had days where the median age was 33, and obviously that is important … because [among] people who are healthy and under 40, you know, the death rate of this thing is very close to zero. So, that’s significant.”

Later in the interview, DeSantis told Hannity: “Of all the ages, the age with the most cases now in Florida is 21 … There is no doubt more transmission going on in the community, particularly amongst people in their 20s and 30s.”

On Tuesday, Florida reported 7,347 new coronavirus cases, 380 new coronavirus hospitalizations and 63 additional deaths from COVID-19. In all, 213,794 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Florida, about one percent of the state’s population.

“We are prepared for this,” DeSantis emphasized. “Now, we are seeing — in places like Miami, you’re seeing increased traffic in the hospitals, but it’s interesting, I was down there today and they said that they’re actually seeing fewer hospitalizations from people in nursing homes, which is obviously a good sign because that’s where the number one risk of mortality is.”

Despite the surge in cases, the state has confirmed just 3,841 deaths from COVID-19, a fatality rate of 1.8 percent.

“I think that’s a testament to shielding the elderly from infections, particularly the nursing home residents,” explained DeSantis.

Yes, and it helps explain why so few Hispanics are rioting, and why so few Democrats are blabbing about open borders, or any other Hispanic cause. The Democrats have abandoned the Hispanics, and are now focusing entirety on blacks.

DeSantis has to be relentless in getting truth out there. Maybe an update every day would help combat the LYING news by the MSM.

We need Florida, Texas and Ohio. All they need is three seats in the Senate and they have control of the Senate. Who know who else may also be retiring in the Senate…. In the midterms a ton of Republicans retired in Congress.

Keeping people living in fear concerns me… it will give them the excuse of mail in voting for the general and DEMS will cheat like hell.

The forced wearing of masks is part of this business of living in constant fear (i.e. cowardice). But for those who still wear masks, it’s also something else: An emblem of political slavery, a sign of submission, a mark of imperfection, and a surrender to tyranny. (Had Herodotus, who made those observations some 2,500 years ago, been able to time travel to today to see everybody walking around with masks on, he would have been more thinking as I do than with those forcing this on them, it would have to him been not unlike the situation when Athens and Sparta were fighting against Persia and its ruler Xerxes.) When Don Cuomo and other leftist statist authorities speak of “respect” in terms of mask wearing, it is painfully evident that is a code word for “blind, unquestioned obedience to the Collective,” not unlike the “good Nazis” who “only followed orders” in carrying out the Holocaust. I’ve always said and will continue to do so, that if G-d had meant for us to wear face masks at all times, He would never have even bothered to put a face on our heads.

Without Iranian Gasoline, Service Stations Close Again In Venezuela
“The gasoline that the Iranian tankers brought to Venezuela in mid-May ran out. A severe fuel shortage is once again witnessed in the country… The sanctions imposed by the United States have made it difficult for the Maduro regime to access imports. Last week, a United States Federal judge issued an order to confiscate all oil cargoes on board four Iranian ships bound for Venezuela.”

Interestingly China has been busy. They have teamed up with Iran for oil. China is doing their predatory infrastructure loan routine on them. The terms favor China and Iran gets some money to help their economic woes from Trump sanctions.

A bigger concern for us is seeing a repeat of what is going on in HK happening in Taiwan. China is getting very aggressive grabbing territory and preying on other countries. China has their eye on Taiwan too! I read somewhere we are sending troops to India because China is getting obnoxious over their border as well. China and India have a dispute there and it is heating up.

The Taiwan Relations Act requires the United States to have a policy “to provide Taiwan with arms of a defensive character”, and “to maintain the capacity of the United States to resist any resort to force or other forms of coercion that would jeopardize the security, or the social or economic system, of the people on Taiwan.” Successive U.S. administrations have sold arms to Taiwan in compliance with the Taiwan Relations Act despite demands from the PRC that the U.S. follow the legally non-binding Three Joint Communiques and the U.S. government’s proclaimed One-China policy.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiwan_Relations_Act

China has the nine dash line and sometimes caller the ten dash line conflict going on. Trump or who ever is President will have to react properly to this…. Otherwise we will look like a weak, paper tiger.

What is going on in HK is tragic and premature. China did not live up to th 1997 Handover Agreement with th UK and the UK is not in a position to do anything about it. They were supposed to have 50 years.

Hi, felix1999. Please do NOT buy into the PRC’s narrative.

The island is called “Taiwan”. The nation is “The Republic of China”.

By referring to the ROC, as “Taiwan”, makes the PRC VERY, VERY happy.

I view Taiwan as separate and not part of China. China doesn’t see it that way. China sees Taiwan as part of China.

Things keep escalating between China and the U.S.. If China goes for Taiwan, it puts the U.S. in an awkward position because of the Taiwan Relations Act. China has its eye on taking back Taiwan as well as other disputed terroritoy such as the border on India.

“The Paracel Islands, essentially an archipelago, is a group of 130 islands approximately equidistant from the coastlines of the People’s Republic of China and Vietnam and also in proximity to the Philippines. The archipelago is surrounded by productive fishing grounds and a seabed with potential, but as yet unexplored, oil and gas reserves. As such, they have long been the focus of a dispute between the three countries.”

You continue to do it. You refer to the Republic of China as Taiwan.

The People’s Republic of China LOVES it when westerners do that.

Calling the Republic of China “Taiwan”, is like calling the United States of America, the middle part of North America …. between Canada and Mexico.

felix1999

I refer to Taiwan as Taiwan; not part of China. I see Taiwan as separate from China. I don’t understand your concern. What am I missing?

Taiwan could very well be the next country China goes after and would put the U.S. in an awkward position due to the The Taiwan Relations Act.

‘We’re next’:
Hong Kong security law sends chills through Taiwan

Amber WANG
July 7, 2020

The imposition of a sweeping national security law on Hong Kong has sent chills through Taiwan, deepening fears that Beijing will focus next on seizing the democratic self-ruled island.

China and Taiwan split in 1949 after nationalist forces lost a civil war to Mao Zedong’s communists, fleeing to the island which Beijing has since vowed to seize one day, by force if necessary.

“The law makes me dislike China even more,” 18-year-old student Sylvia Chang told AFP, walking through National Taiwan University in Taipei.

“They had promised 50 years unchanged for Hong Kong but they are getting all the more heavy-handed… I am worried Hong Kong today could be Taiwan tomorrow.”

Over the years China has used a mixture of threats and inducements, including a promise Taiwan could have the “One Country, Two Systems” model that governs Hong Kong, supposedly guaranteeing key civil liberties and a degree of autonomy for 50 years after the city’s 1997 handover.

Both Taiwan’s two largest political parties long ago rejected the offer, and the new security law has incinerated what little remaining faith many Taiwanese may have had in Beijing’s outreach.

Some now fear even transiting through Hong Kong, worried that their social media profiles could see them open to prosecution under the legislation.

The law “makes China look so bad, distancing themselves even further from Hong Kongers, not to mention people across the strait in Taiwan”, Alexander Huang, a political analyst at Tamkang University in Taipei, told AFP.

– ‘Hong Kong today, Taiwan tomorrow’ –

Beijing has taken an especially hard line towards Taiwan since the 2016 election of President Tsai Ing-wen of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), ramping up military, economic and diplomatic pressure.

Tsai views Taiwan as a de facto independent nation and not part of “one China”.

But the pressure campaign has done little to endear China to Taiwan’s 23 million people.

In January, Tsai won a second term with a historic landslide and polls consistently show a growing distrust of China.

A record 67 percent now self-identify as “Taiwanese” instead of either Taiwanese-Chinese or Chinese — a ten percent increase on the year before — according to a routine poll conducted by the National Chengchi University.

In 1992, that figure was just 18 percent.

In recent decades Taiwan has morphed from a brutal autocracy into one of Asia’s most progressive democracies.

Younger Taiwanese tend to be especially wary of its huge authoritarian neighbour.

Social media is filled with messages of support for Hong Kong’s democracy movement. Some back Taiwanese independence, or highlight China’s rights abuses in regions such as Tibet and Xinjiang.

Wendy Peng, a 26-year-old magazine editor who said she often shared pro-Hong Kong democracy messages on social media, said she would now avoid visiting the city.

“The national security law makes me wonder how far would China go. Right now I don’t see a bottom line and there’s probably none. I think it’s possible they will target Taiwan next,” she said.

– Universal jurisdiction –

Peng’s fears are not unfounded.

As well as allowing China’s security apparatus to set up shop openly in Hong Kong for the first time, Beijing’s security law claims universal jurisdiction.

Article 38 says security crimes can be committed anywhere in the world by people of any nationality.

Hong Kong police have made clear that support for Hong Kong, Taiwan, Tibet or Xinjiang independence is now illegal.

University employee Patrick Wu, 31, said he would now avoid even transiting through Hong Kong.

“It’s like a blanket law, whatever China wants to define and interpret,” he told AFP. “I don’t know if the ‘Likes’ or messages I have left on social media will be prosecutable.”

Last week Chen Ming-tong, the minister for Taiwan’s Mainland Affairs Council, accused Beijing of aiming to become a supremely powerful “heavenly empire” by ordering “subjects all over the world” to obey its law.

Lin Fei-fan, deputy secretary-general of the ruling DPP, warned that “regular Taiwanese people” might now face arrest in “manufactured cases” if they went to Hong Kong.

He cited China’s jailing of Taiwanese NGO worker Lee Ming-che under the mainland’s own subversion laws.

Lee was arrested in 2017 during a trip to the mainland and held incommunicado for months before his eventual fate was made public.

Sung Chen-en, a political commentator and columnist in Taipei, said Beijing’s new security law “creates a great uncertainty about what can be said” far beyond Hong Kong’s borders.

“If everyone is watching his own expression of opinions, it creates a chilling effect on democracy,” he told AFP.

“If everybody is exercising constraint, there is no freedom at all.”

Lets not forget that coronavirus is the second leading common cold virus and that thousands of people get the CC every year and the majority do not die. Those that do die of the CC have limited life expectancy anyway and simply need a small thing to tip them over. It is like a society of people, most of whom have both feet on solid ground with a small number of people who have one foot on a life saver and the other on a banana peel. Then you introduce pollen and it will only take a single sneeze for the vulnerable to slip.

Doesn’t surprise me that the CCP-controlled leftist media would think Florida would have been better off with the meth-head who’d been found naked and passed out in a hotel room with a gay prostitute who’d O.D.’d. G-d forbid if HE were in charge. Florida would have more resembled one long, expansive cemetery (and that’s not necessarily reference to their elderly population, though if Gillum were in the Governor’s mansion he would have done EXACTLY to them what Cuomo in NY did viz nursing homes).

The vile democrats prefer the drug addict, sex pervert, Andrew Gillam for governor. So glad I moved from Rhode Island to Florida in 2004 and now live in a Republican controlled sane state. The only problem is Rubio. The RINO lied in 2016 and ran for re-election after being totally embarrassed during his failed presidential run. I was dismayed the Republicans elected him in the primary so I joined the party to vote against Rubio in future elections when necessary. It’s what a patriotic citizen would do.

Maybe Trump’s joke was the answer: stop testing. The more you test the more you find. Hospitalisation rates are dropping and mortality rates are down, which are the important numbers.

More people have died from the usual annual flu than by the Chinese Wuhan plague. Why isn’t the MSM outraged about flu response? Railing against the flu vaccine manufacturers? Are the governors not doing anything to stop this? Why, the logical thing to do for all coming years is to have a permanent lockdown of the entire nation!

For the Wuhan plague, children are essentially immune. For young adults it usually does nothing to them or its just like a flu. Middle aged need precautions and to be smart. Elderly, wear a mask and gloves, hand sanitizer, and use common sense such as avoiding strangers and even those you know. Its time to return to a more normal life.

A virus clones itself. It starts to lose potency as it slowly mutates. That is science. But hey, the MSM never loses a chance to distort as a weapon against those not of their mindset.
