260 Chinese fishing ships have been discovered near the Galapagos Islands sparking concerns that they will damage the marine eco-system in the area.
Ecuador’s president Lenin Moreno had been tweeting over the weekend to boast about the security in place to protect the area surrounding the islands which he said is ‘a hotbed of life for the entire planet’.
However, the Ecuadorian Navy has confirmed that around 260 fishing vessels have been spotted 200 miles from the islands’ shores.

Spokesperson John Hourston told Sky News: ‘The threat that the industrial Chinese fishing fleet poses to the unique and spectacular marine life of the Galapagos archipelago cannot be overstated.’
He also said the vessels were ‘sucking the life from this biodiversity jewel’.
‘Marine life doesn’t recognise lines on a map. Unless the high seas are given protection, the ocean is in danger of becoming become a lifeless desert.’
In response to the fishing fleet a Protection Strategy has been put in place by former Mayor of Quito Roque Sevilla and ex-environment minister Yolanda Kakabadse, alongside a team of specialists.

Chinese fishing ships have strayed near the Galapagos previously and in 2017 one vessel was captured in 2017 in the Marine Reserve carrying 300 tons of wildlife.
Defence minister Oswaldo Jarrin said that the fleet is currently located in a corridor in international waters but that it is being kept under surveillance.

The Chinese and Japanese are fishing for years in all South and Latin American waters, they are draining the waters from fish, everybody know it but NOBODY is doing ANYTHING about it.

Hey…..we have a part in all of this……those wind farms out off the coast that the Left put there…..they are chasing fish away and messing up the electronics of fishing boats. Ask the fishermen…..they will tell you.
Then you’ve got those wind farms on land that heat up the ground around them and messing up crops……killing millions of migratory birds that eat seeds and drop them in their flight…..look for more bad crops.
We didn’t learn anything from when the bee population crashed…..as did the crops that they took care of with their pollen transferring.

They’ll be after the sharks. Goodbye tourism, already hit by the Chinese sourced coronavirus. And when the crews invade the Islands – likely after the giant tortoises – well the Chinese eat anything and everything – right? – they’ll take the Covid-19 virus with them to infect the locals. Seems like the Chinese can’t risk eating their own wildlife so they have started to invade other countries and eat theirs.

Shame on you! The fact that its in international waters does not mean we should allow environmental destruction that affects us and the rest of the world. Find your spine and think with your brain. This is about protecting the ecosystems that feed us and maintain our ecological resources. Pillaging must be stopped. The Chinese kill and eat anything that crawls, walks, swims or flies. They have no conscience about wiping out total ecosystems. They have factory ships 200 miles off the Northwest coast of the USA that are destroying the pelagic salmon and steelhead that make annual migrations in the North Pacific. The fisheries from California to Alaska are being devastated by these parasites. They have wiped out any life within their territorial waters with their ‘kill everything tactics’.

I can’t stand Muslims for what they stand for…..but companies like Nike apparently have no problem with slavery……which should make all of us worry about what they are planning for us in the long run.

It used to be the Japanese Fishing Fleets who were raping and pillaging the worlds oceans including killing whales and long-lining. Now the Japanese have discovered Australian Beef and Four n Twenty Meat Pies,(although they did have to reduce the size for them), now it’s the Chinese Fishing Fleets doing the raping and pillaging of the worlds oceans and wiping out (and eating) whole Bat Colonies!
