Close to 400 people have been shot to death in Chicago this year. The majority of the victims of homicide in Chicago are young, black men. Black lives don’t matter when it’s not politically expedient for the Democrats – even a Black Mayor.

Far more deaths than COVID this weekend and yet the city/state continues its lockdown and shutdown of humanity while ignoring, scoffing even, at the murder rate.
Appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday morning, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot ripped the idea of using federal troops to help stabilize her city, stating, “We can’t just allow anyone to come into Chicago, play police in our streets, in our neighborhoods, when they don’t know the first thing about our city.”
True story: if current trends hold, the number of people under 35 murdered in the US this year will RISE by more than the TOTAL number of people under 35 who die of #Covid.

Report: 59 Shot, 3 Killed, over Weekend in Mayor Lightfoot’s Chicago
Fifty-nine people were shot, three fatally, over the weekend in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago.

Late Sunday night NBC 5 reported at least 49 people had been shot, two fatally. By Monday morning the Chicago Sun-Times reported nearly 60 shot with three fatalities.
NBC 5 noted that weekend shootings began Friday with a non-fatal incident just after 5 pm, when two individuals were shot while standing in a gas station parking lot “in the 800 block of West 59th Street.”
Less than 30 minutes later a 19-year-old was shot and left in serious condition while sitting on a porch on West Cullerton. The violence continued from there.
The Sun-Times reports the weekend’s last shooting–a fatal one–occurred just before 1:30 a.m. Monday morning.
On Tuesday, Mayor Lightfoot acknowledged President Trump would be sending in federal agents to help curtail the gun violence that has surged in Chicago throughout this year. But the Chicago Tribune reported Lightfoot made clear she will be ready to use the courts to stop the use of federal agents if she believes the Trump administration overreaches.
Lightfoot said, “I don’t put anything past this administration, which is why we will continue to be diligent and why we will continue to be ready. If we need to stop them and use the courts to do so, we are ready to do that.”
When Trump spoke out against the violence ravaging Democrat-controlled cities in June, Lightfoot reacted by stating she does not “need leadership lessons” from the president.
On July 16, 2020, Breitbart News reported Lightfoot responded to Trump’s idea of the federal government stepping in by calling for more gun control. Two of the central controls she demanded were universal background checks and an “assault weapons” ban. She did not mention the Chicago-area already has an “assault weapons” ban, thanks to a Cook County prohibition.
Moreover, Chicago and the entire state of Illinois already have a licensing process for would-be gun owners that includes a background check.

The killers in NYC are obviously better shots. Lightfoot will institute a program to increase marksmanship amongst black shooters. Who says she doesn’t have the best interests of her citizenry as the main item on her “To Do List’?

When no guns were allowed in Chicago, Chicago was top of the heap. Mayor Daley went on to retire not before the US Supreme Court told him that what he was doing was a violation of the 2nd A. Of course he tried other tactics and they failed. However arrest the Gang-Bangers and had a DA(once upon he was one of them) put them away for long terms he wasn’t willing to do. Nor was any other Mayor willing to push except Richard J. It’s not lousy gun control unless by gun control you mean no guns. Israel has many guns in both military and civilian license yet you don’t see any thing like you do in the States especially since they are automatic weapons both semi and fully automatic. If you were to discharge your weapon with intent to kill injure no effort would be spared to ID you, arrest you, prosecute you and incarcerate you for a very long time. The same CANNOT be said of Cook County. Average served sentence for a murderer in Illinois is 7 years. This is pathetic. The problem is the Political and Judiciary of Chicago, Cook County and the State of Illinois. This means 1 Party.

Firstly, Democrats across the board, when they can’t control their city for political reasons use the fall back; “its the guns, we need gun control”. Mayor Lightfoot, when Mayor Daley had a total ban on guns in Chicago, there was violence with guns. I know then it was blamed on guns that could be bought elsewhere. Meanwhile, when Mayor Daley retired he wrote a sweetheart deal that he would have 6-Armed Chicago Police Security Personal Security Detail around the clock to the tune of 2.5 million dollars a year. This effective if he’s in Chicago or at his Michigan Summer home or where ever. They have guns for a Mayor who had a total ban on guns for the common Chicago citizen to protect themselves from gangster and criminal elements who do have guns.
Now Mayor Lightfoot, if you obstruct Federal Law Enforcement from performing their duty to collect intel, investigate crimes, enforce laws, arrest or have Chicago Police arrest perpatrators YOU are obstructing justice. In such a case the Federal Government needs to arrest YOU for this crime and send YOU through the judicial system.
