De Blasio plans to install BLM mural in front of Trump Tower
Mayor Bill de Blasio is planning to install a massive Black Lives Matter mural right outside Trump Tower in Manhattan, The Post has learned.
Plans for the mural — which will be painted in yellow block letters along Fifth Avenue between 56th and 57th streets — come as the city grapples with troubling surges in gun violence and illegal firework activity.
Story continues below advertisement“Obviously he is doing it to antagonize the president,” a source said. “This is what he is concerned about while the city burns. What an amateur politician.”
The source said the mayor’s office reached out to the Department of Transportation about the feasibility of the mural — but it was mentioned that de Blasio wanted it done.
The idea had originated from a June 7 meeting with community leaders and activists, including the Rev. Kevin McCall and Gwen Carr, the mother of Eric Garner, a source said.
De Blasio hatched the idea a few days after Washington, DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser had “Black Lives Matter” painted along a street leading to the White House, according to a second source. The plan was finalized last week — after locations for the other murals across the five boroughs were announced on Juneteenth, the source said.
The slogan will be stenciled outside Trump Tower, where President Trump stays when he’s in town, sometime before July 4th weekend.

This is how Communist China became what it is. The Left, much like terrorist movements, is willing to die for its cause. That’s why they’re going to win. Conservatives are too busy polishing their gun collections and spouting off about the marketplace of ideas to realize how big this threat is. if Trump wins again, expect gross escalation from the Leftist thugs.
Without controlling the WH, the US Senate, the SCOTUS, and the majority of state Governorships, the Left has gained control of MSM, Social Media, ecommerce, along with what you can write, what you can say, and who can respond to what you wrote or said.
Unless the Right responds with force, this is going to get worse. Whenever the Left attains too more power, bad things happen.

Some are Leftists (Romney), some like being part of the Deep State (it’s an exclusive club akin to a golfer with an Augusta membership), and some are just political coward who don’t want to rock the boat and risk their re-election chances.
Most are corrupt to the core. They size up their voters and their donors and this determines their political survival strategy. That’s what lifers like Biden, Pelosi and Schumer has been doing their whole career. That explains the endless flip flopping on every issue.
The founders failure to impose term limits on members of Congress is the single biggest design flaw in our govt. What was the point of the Electoral College if a Senator could exploit their incumbency advantage and stay in power their whole life?
With strict term limits, it would dissuade the super wealthy from running in the first place and it would reduce corporate incentive to “buy” candidates. You couldn’t count on them to stick around long enough to help you. Corporation would still give but much less. In the end every business evaluates ROI.
Suggested Congressional Term Limits
House……(3) 2-yr terms
Senate…..(2) 6-yr terms
Limiting House members to a total of 6 years would ensure that ordinary citizens would be able to run and serve, not just heavily financed pros.
Why aren’t millions of Americans demanding this?

I agree with most of what you said; however, I would recommend the House (3) 2-yr terms, Senate (1) 6-yr term, Supreme Court maximum 75 years old. If you give the Senate (2) 6-yr terms, they would be concentrating on their 2nd term. Also, 6 years is long enough for any to serve. I would take it a step further and give each House and Senate $750,000 salary per year with absolutely no health or retirement benefits. In addition, they would be barred from working for any lobbying organization, or companies that have government contracts. In other words, they would serve, sever their ties with the Federal Government, and go home. This is all fantasy land stuff, because those that could make the changes would NEVER do anything to curtail their power and perks.

All good ideas which agreed will never happen. The alternative is we stay on the current path which is going to end in financial disaster and defaulting on the debt payments but not before the Radical Left causes irreversible damage.
Never thought I’d say this but the USA splitting into Red and Blue nations is not beyond the realm of possibility. We are already very divided ideologically and the recent social breakdown in the major cities is making millions of citizens living outside of those urban areas to question why their taxes are funding places where the people are plotting their demise.
Blue voters make up slightly more than half of the electorate yet they live clustered on urban “islands” comprising maybe 10% of the land mass. They’ve become completely detached from the land and more important, from the reality of how things are made, where they’re made or who makes them. China’s political reality does not matter to them. The country looks so pretty in Google Photos. This is manna from heaven to Globalists. Bloomberg’s recent condescending remarks about farming was telling but indicative of the modern urban Leftist mindset.
This is not a tenable situation and yet we’re all pretending this isn’t true. Our ideological separation has become our geographic reality. Why stay united?

Oh yes Seema Verma was very explicit that Cuomo broke protocol and guidelines for Nursing Homes. There was no need to house Covid-19 patients in nursing homes when the hospital ship and the extra Javits Center field hospital sat empty. I hope they indict Cuomo.

Like it was pointed out, this location was chosen in an attempt to antagonize the President when he comes to NYC. And all that will happen is the city will spend an outrageous amount to create this and if the President sees it, he will probably shrug his shoulders and keep walking. Has anyone else noticed that the left continues to paint the President as childish yet continue to put forth acts like this in an attempt to goad him?
