A statue of former President Ulysses S. Grant– the Union general who led his army to victory against the Confederacy during the Civil War– was toppled on Friday as hundreds gathered in San Francisco to celebrate Juneteenth.

During his tenure in the White House, Grant advocated for the civil rights of former slaves and helped ratify the Fifteenth Amendment, which gave blacks the right to vote.
While Grant allowed pardons for former Confederate leaders, he also passed laws that limited the activities of the Klu Klux Klan to prevent them from terrorizing African Americans.
Critics of the former president point to the fact that he owned a slave, who may have been gifted to him but was freed before the beginning of the war.
DC PROTESTERS PULL DOWN, BURN STATUE OF CONFEDERATE GENERAL
Nearly 400 people gathered to knock down the effigy on the anniversary commemorating the day African Americans in Texas were finally informed that President Abraham Lincoln had issued the Emancipation Proclamation freeing slaves living in Confederate states two years earlier.
No arrests were made during the statue incident, according to NBC Bay Area.
The statue was one of three knocked over Golden Gate Park during demonstrations.
The others included a statue of Junípero Serra, an 18th-century missionary who was declared a saint in the Catholic Church, and Francis Scott Key, the author of the national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Protesters have torn down several statues across the country in the wake of George Floyd’s death– an unarmed black man who died in police custody after a former Minneapolis police officer kneeled on his neck for over eight minutes.

I’m from Africa and never cease to be amazed by the capacity of black Africans to destroy but not build or create anything of real worth. Independence from European powers did not bring success or justice. In most cases just a mess quickly eventuated. Simply consider the mess that black rule brought to Zimbabwe and now South Africa. When under white rule neither country needed foreign aid or to import food, now they do.

Trump being back in office is just a start. We need to find someone else to carry on after his term. And, of course, if an officer does his assigned job, as outside an Atlanta Wendy’s, then a corrupt Fulton County district attorney gone rogue, leaps out of the woodwork, and seeks to win points with the baying mob by charging the Police Officer with capital offense first-degree murder charge! An absolute outrage.
Sends an electric bolt through-out Law Enforcement! (Heard a call from a wife, who now has great anxiety and fear for her husband, and fellow officers. One retired Policeman, with officers in his family, said he is now greatly worried for them, and is trying to persuade those who can, to retire early, or seek employment elsewhere. One home that had a blue flag visible from outside, for fallen husband/father, suffered threats, and vandalism (if I recall)!
Will Nation now be gripped by “Ferguson effect”? Police ranks shrink-back, as men and women look for exit doors? Lest they wind-up on death-row for doing their job, as result of some rotten and corrupt public official’s politically motivated actions!

Everyone seems to be so concerned, even frightened, over police walkouts and “blue flu” call ins.
What’s the difference? Did the NYPD stop the blm looters from breaking into Gucci and Rolex, and hundreds of other retail locations, stealing tens of millions of dollars worth of merchandise, and burning them to the ground, following carrying out anything of value.
Did they stop an entire area of Seattle from being taken over by violent fascists.
Did they protect the many, many people that have been brutalized, raped, and murdered by blm?

The Supreme Court is doing their part. Obamacare as a “tax”. Legitimizing same sex “marriage” and recently redefining the 1964 Civil Rights Act to redefine sex to ignore the biological definition of sex and legislating it to be what ever you identify with. There is no way in hell that the 1964 Civil Rights Act would have included that kind of mental illness to be legitimate or protected. We were not that crazy back in 1964.
So if you ever have to be hospitalized, don’t be shocked if your doctor or nurse has a beard and pretends to be a female. Do you really want someone so unstable offering you medical care?
What will be next is Christianity being marginalized down. Just wait. Trudeua’s mentality is here too. Too many Jews have been willing to go along with LBGTQ+ so they aren’t a threat. It’s easy to look up Ulysses Grant and learn that he was General of the Union Army and that the first Black Congressmen and Senators were elected when he was president. So you’re right, even the dumbest people know the real agenda, but democrats are dumber than that.

Leaving those Confederate markers and monuments in place serves the same purpose as keeping the front gates and cremation ovens in place at the Nazi Auschwitz death camp, as a lesson and warning from history.

The attack by these “protesters” (read savage, criminally insane rioters) is proof positive of their mindless, embarrassingly infantile behavior; because they’ve convinced themselves that they should be violently angered by something they chose to believe, without checking to see if the facts support their belief, they decided to throw a major temper tantrum in which they destroy public and private property and physically attack and severely injure innocent bystanders and those who disagree with them. They seem to think that it’s so cool to protest – just for the sake of protesting – and can’t be bothered with such trivialities as what they are protesting against or why.
Their attack on the Ulysses S. Grant statue is a case in point; he stood for exactly the same things that they claim to.
