That’s why the police were sent in. The left doesn’t want you to see the full extent of their failures played out all day every day on the media. They couldn’t control the narrative anymore, so they have to control the people. The last thing the Democrats need is this festering pustule of radicalism playing out prior to the election. For that statement alone, the mayor should be fired.

A lot of the rest of us have reached the point where our patience has been rubbed raw by their ever escalating temper tantrum and are about ready to give it to them.
Watch out for the dog days of summer, because any excuse will be sufficient to unleash a firestorm that will see blood running in the streets. Most of these children aren’t good enough at math to calculate the odds of their untrained and under armed rabble against militia forces that are well armed and have been subjected to military discipline, even though some of those forces will be somewhat long in the tooth, overweight, and with less than perfect eyesight, but well armed and fed up with these children throwing a constant temper tantrum.

She doesn’t want to actually arrest anybody soo she’s warning them. They now have a choice… they can go underground and maybe set up booby traps or they can choose to fight. i doubt they’ll choose to actually fight the police because bullies are cowards. All it would have really taken for the city not to be taken in the first place was to stand up to them.

There are people living there. Quite a few residents and businesses. The other aspect of this is the CHOP zone was likely a magnet for radicals from all over the country showing up so it might be building up into a very much larger problem than it has been previously. Hopefully there won’t be rioting when police move in. Most likely they’re diving notice so people will just leave rather than get into a confrontation with police. It likely was primarily just a rehearhas for what comes next since things will likely get more tense as we get closer to November, and if any arrests are made of members of the prior administration, that could set off protests as well, hopefully peaceful. I think they want a peaceful resolution in Seattle rather than rioting with millions of dollars in property damage and possible loss of human life.

Hi, evangeline golding. You have to remember that these are Seat Hell poeleese that, for years, have stood by and simply watched as antifa crowds brutally beat people, broke into stores, and dragged people out of cars gang beating them.
There are numerous videos of the Seat Hell Poeleese standing there and WATCHING that happen. Right on scene and doing nothing but watching people be beaten.

I’ll amend it to the good and decent officers who are trying to do their jobs, and getting abuse heaped upon them from all sides, attacked, beaten, and killed.

I firmly believe that 90(+)% of all police start out being “good and decent” officers. Some stay that way. And, I have NO idea how they do so. One has to consider the abuse that is heaped upon them. It is not the dangerous job that everyone likes to believe it is, as that occupation doesn’t even fall into the top 50 of those that die, performing their job.
However, every day, they face abuse, false accusations, and criticism from people that know nothing about what they have to face and endure.
In this area, the municipal officers (whether city or suburb) are well recompensed, when considering their wage-benefit costs (easy six figures PLUS), but due to what they must endure, you’d have to consider them UNDERPAID.
After the past few years, and peace officers being under fire and extreme duress, from politicians and the news media … I don’t know how ANY OF THEM have been able to stay “good and decent officers”.
They must be saints.
