Soros-Affiliated Anti-Deportation Group Part of ‘Defund Police’ Movement

tion group affiliated with leftist billionaire George Soros’s Open Society Foundations is one of the groups behind the “defund the police” movement taking place across America.
The Soros-affiliated group has been part of the “defund the police” movement as far back as early 2016 — long before the death of George Floyd that brought it to national attention. While many Americans see the current protests and riots as organic reactions to the death of Floyd, many organized groups are seizing on the momentum.
The Soros-affiliated group is called Organized Communities Against Deportation (OCAD). OCAD lists on its website the “Open Society Foundation” as a partner.
On February 16, 2016, OCAD hosted a protest in Chicago, Illinois, to defund the police according to an article posted on the website of #Not1More, another anti-deportation organization — itself an offshoot of the larger and more organized anti-deportation group National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON).
During that protest, activists sat on ladders in the middle of a street in front of a Regional Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office holding banners that said, “Dismantle ICE. Defund the police.” The activists consider ICE “the largest police force” in the country and were “joined by leaders from the movement for Black lives who say there is a connection between their efforts,” the article said.

Other activist groups participating in the protest were Assata’s Daughters, Black Youth Project (BYP) 100, Fearless Leading by the Youth (FLY), Palestinian Youth in Action, Centro Autonomo, People’s Response Team, and the Chicago Religious Leadership Network (CRLN).
Assata’s Daughters said in a statement at the time, “Undocumented people in Chicago and nationally are living in fear daily of being taken from their homes and away from their families. We, as Black American community organizers, can relate to that fear. … Our struggles are distinct but connected. When enforcement is overfunded, that is money that is not being spent on services that actually keep us safe.”
An OCAD organizer and Policy Director for the #Not1More Campaign, Tania Unzueta, complained that Chicago spent “40% of its budget on police” and that the government should spend money on “developing and nurturing our communities not deporting and incarcerating them.”
“If these agencies have endless resources, they will find endless ways to target and harm our families. They need to be defunded and dismantled,” she said.
OCAD in recent days and weeks has been calling for its supporters to support the Black Lives Matter movement, posting on its Facebook page, “our liberation is dependent of Black liberation.”

Asking a Q from a-x the Atlantic in the UK, if he is a(n) US citizen, can he not be put on trial for high treason, subversion & sedition? If found guilty after a fair trial (something he or his cronies don’t really deserve, but our Western justice system demands it) he could be given the death penalty. If such federal laws exist…
As for the deportation option, a black African country would be most suitable or an uninhabited volcanic island would be even better!

I believe he is a U.S. citizen… but look at this web of support and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Precious time was lost with all the hoaxes and garbage thrown at Trump. His own party doesn’t support him. He’s been treading water since he was elected. He does what he can….

None of the protesters or protest groups really care about Floyd’s death. Its just an excuse to make more and more trouble for Trump. Up until January there was really no major issues for them to protest. Really. But as the election approaches, any incident is blown out of proportion. The lockdowns also don’t help Trump, and the Dems and leftest press saying anything he does is wrong, wrong, wrong while offering nothing for what they would have done better. Its a full press push against him which no president has ever seen before.
The day Trump is either ousted or voted out all the violence will end. All the demands for defunding the police will end. All the demonstrations regarding so-called racism will end, though the demands for making whites outlaws and racists as a definition will grow. The the Dems will really be caught in the spotlight – the Dem party has a pretty bad skin colour history about blacks.
Trump is the only thing keeping what is left of America together, even with the riots. If the Dems take over, the uneducated leftest, students, elites, Hollywood will demand socialism and get it. After three years they will be demanding freedom and capitalism again.
Sadly, Soros has the fund that shows that money talks. Unfortunately, there are a good many who use him for their left wing plotting as he uses them as useful idiots.
