Protesters set up guillotine outside of Jeff Bezos’ DC home
Bezos has a primary residence in Washington state and also spends time in New York City

Protesters have set up a guillotine outside a complex in Washington, D.C., where Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos reportedly has a home, according to social media and multiple reports.
A sign read: “Support our poor communities. Not our wealthy men.”

A protester at the location can be seen in a video saying: “When they become threatened, and we have no voice, the knives come out.”
A flyer circulated online promoted an event at the location and mentioned Chris Smalls, an Amazon employee who organized a work stoppage over coronavirus safety measures at the company’s warehouse on Staten Island, New York, and was later fired.
Amazon said Smalls was fired for “violating social distancing guidelines and putting the safety of others at risk.”
Bezos has a primary residence in Washington state and also spends time in New York City.

3 years agoReply to DemocracyRulesYes. This is why I do not fully understand all the corporate support for the Marxists. The idea that has been proposed of hedging a bet, donating to all parties before an election, to me just doesn’t hold water; Marxists always eat their own first. ?

As long as the rich can remain part of the the tyrant’s oligarchical power circle, they will prosper. E.g., In Venezuela, the country is an impoverished shhthole, but the oligarch power circle around the tyrant Maduro remains rich and free.

Does the communist government, once in power, then own any given company and replace the governance of that company with their own communist people?

In both regimes, the state owns the individual, so the state also owns all their possessions. Thus, even the oligarch power circle is technically owned by the tyrant. In older tyrant regimes, like Cuba, the poverty gets so bad that the oligarch power circle shrinks down to the tyrant and his immediate family.

3 years agoOh, that looks rather elaborate. We’re not just talking about a dangling cord blowing about in the breeze that someone decided was actually a noose. Some dry chuckling pot smoker put all his wood shop skills to use making that. And he pulled it off! It looks like a functional guillotine. Will this be a ‘hate crime’?
